The room was spacious, spotless and comfortable. The bed was really comfortable. We had a meal in the evening and the food, atmosphere and service was lovely. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

There was a problem with the heating but Sean did his best to resolve the problem. Also the windows appear to be original and obviously in keeping with the pretty building but perhaps some sort of secondary glazing would just help to keep the room a bit warmer and quieter from the outside noise. These are small things and overall our stay was lovely.

The hospitality off the staff was very good. The rooms were comfortable and we had a lovely diner. What we really loved that the owner brought us a bottle of wine, when we arrived late from Bath and the pub was already closed. And....for free

A minor point is the breakfast. It's a continental breakfast and you have to order it the day before. The put the breakfast in the fridge. The owner explained us why he did that, but still we didn't like it.

Location - situated in a lovely quiet village away from any big towns. Room - good sized room, nice comfortable bed, great sized bathroom and good amount of supplies like tea/coffee and everything needed in the bathroom. Staff - very attentive staff, great communication from when first booked until the check in. Pub - fantastic meals and a great menu. Thanks for the stay!

The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was also really nice. There was plenty of tea and coffee in the room and lots of storage for clothes, there was also provision of a hairdryer. The room was cozy with adjustable temperature on the radiator and came with a complimentary breakfast because the pub was closed when we visited. There are bus stops outside the property which are useful, but I'd recommend that you physically look at the timetables at the stop because the ones online were incorrect.

We were really gutted that the bar and restaurant were closed for our visit. I wish that I looked a little more closely at their opening times because we could have easily adjusted our visit accordingly.

Comfortable and quiet room. Access when pub was shut worked very well. Also breakfast arrangements. Welcoming atmosphere in the pub itself. Enjoyed our dinner on the last evening and a glass of cider out in the garden afterwards.

We would have liked to eat at the pub the evening we arrived, but it wasn't open at that time. Not a complaint, as we booked in the knowledge that this would be the case.

The hotel was in a lovely. Within easy reach of Bath and Longleat. Buses into Bath were frequent. Room very clean and comfortable with nice extra touches, tea, coffee, biscuits and water. Owner very approachable and helpful. Had a meal at the pub which was reasonable and very tasty. Excellent service.

Nothing. Everything was great.

We combined a work visit with our Anniversary. How often do you get a hand written card, balloons and a bottle of champagne in a hotel? The kindness and attention to detail was overwhelming. The parking facilities were also very good.

We stayed on the two nights that the hotel was closed in the bar and restaurant. However, this did not spoil anything for us as Shaun (our host) booked us into the next village for a meal at The George Inn. There must be something in the water down there because Lola at The George was fantastic as well. Shaun then made sure there was a Continental breakfast available for us on each day.

Shaun & the team were extremely welcoming & clearly very proud of this most excellent establishment. Ample parking, really well presented outdoor area - especially liked the covered walkway through the outdoor seating area to the main entrance not only practical but nicely constructed. Check in was very straight forward & very much appreciated the phone call from Shaun ahead of my visit to explain how to access my room if I arrived early. My room was very comfortable, WiFi worked well throughout as I caught up with my work emails. A table was reserved for dinner were I enjoyed a generous hearty meal with the team always on hand to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. A busy restaurant & bar tells you all you need to know what the locals think. No hesitation in recommending the Rose & Crown - I will be returning

Very comfortable accommodation with great food & a well stocked bar. Thanks Shaun

Very comfy bed and beautifully decorated room. Very helpful staff kept my suitcase and moved it to my room so I could spend the day at my friend's wedding rather than have to come back in the middle of the celebrations.

I came back late from a wedding and didn't realise I couldn't book breakfast because the ordering time has passed. I wish that one of the staff had made me aware of this.

It was a lovely pub in a nice village close to Bath. Bus stop just across the road. The rooms were clean, spacious and pleasant. We ate at the pub a few times and the food was delicious and menu varied.

No cooked breakfast on offer, you had to preorder a continental breakfast and collect it from the fridge.
