Breakfast- we did not have breakfast because of our commitments But we did have a family party at the Commodore, food excellent, quickly arrived all together, service excellent Room- excellent large room with double aspect and views to die for. We have used the pub several times in the past excellent, but not stayed before
A fabulous view, because the weather was less than friendly we liked to look at the view but with only one chair for one of use to sit on the bed was not the most comfortable for us elder visitors, another chair would have made it perfect, there is room for one.

You cannot beat the location of The Commodore and many rooms have sea views. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the bedding and towels are always lovely and clean, the breakfast has something for everyone and the cooked breakfast was delicious. We had our evening dinners during our stay there too, which new were very pleased with as well.
It’s not really a dislike, more of a comment on what we noticed whilst at the hotel, and that is the inside looks tired and needs some TLC along with the fixing of the sign for The Commodore on the outside

The location is ideal for the sandy beach & surrounding areas although we stayed mainly to visit relatives for a family event! The double room had everything we needed a sea view comfy bed shower over bath ( best of both worlds ) large TV screen and good selection of tea/coffee so altogether a very good value room! The breakfast was excellent and plenty of it- I had the veggie cooked option and husband had traditional cooked breakfast along with a good choice of continental buffet with plenty of choice The food menu in the pub below looked good but we didnt try it ( if anything like the breakfast will be very good!) But we did have a nice cold pint each! Handy parking onsite Staff friendly and prompt service with a smile - we will definitely be going back in the future for sure! :)
Nothing not to like :)

Great selection of breakfast items both from the menu and the continental buffet. Location was perfect literally just a 2min walk down the ramps to the perfect beach. Bed was comfy and the restaurant downstairs did the usual pub grub stuff. The TV in the room had actual access to free streaming channels which is a genuine first for us!
I won't hold it against the staff or the hotel but being on the front there is sometimes a lot of traffic and noise, late night patrons from the bar and the occasional gang of loud youths hanging about near the beach often blasting loud music gone midnight. Also basically no parking so be prepared to drive in circles until you find a spot that might be a good few minutes walk away with your luggage!

Clean, comfortable. Good staff and management generally. We had stayed before a few years ago and it was better than previously.
Couple of blips on food front. Asked for paprika to be omitted from prawn cocktail but it wasn't. One night saw a man on a table near me eating a lovely juicy steak, nice and medium rare. So I ordered one the second night, medium rare, only for it to come very well done, a bit burnt and shrivelled and nothing like his. Very disappointing. Did tell the manager, who apologised, but no discount forthcoming. Despite the trend of sourdough bread, I do not like it, so we went for breakfast elsewhere.

Great location, fab views. Comfy beds. Tasty breakfast, cooked to order.
There are a few areas that require a bit of filler & a paint touch up. Also some privacy film on the bathroom window would allow natural light instead of the blind being down all of the time as it’s overlooked. These are small jobs that would make a better impression. Not something that hinders a good stay though!

All staff friendly and professional, including kitchen staff and housekeepers Hotel in fantastic location to beach Our room had sea views from both windows. Lovely Sunday roast and superb breakfast during our 3 night stay Southbourne high street within walking distance from hotel. Lots of restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Also charity shops to browse in Regular bus routes to Bournemouth centre and Poole quays
Hotel decor is tired and in need of a revamp however this didn’t detract from a very enjoyable stay

Good location & nice friendly staff. Decent bar and pub food was quite nice.
Smelly corridor, the place is looking very tired and needs decorating at least. Bedrooms need more storage drawers in particular. When staying overnight it was adequate, but when staying for longer accessing clothes proved difficult. Proper coffee should be included with breakfast.

Good location, right next to the beach and town and close to buses and trains. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
I was over the activity room so I had the noise from a kids party in the afternoon and when they went I had to listen to a musical group lesson that went on until 10pm. It was as though they were in my room. I could hear every movement of the person in the room above me too but you get what you pay for. I will ask for a room on the upper floor next time. There was rubbish outside the front of the hotel which could have been removed by staff. Just not a good look.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. Good room size with wardrobe and dressing table. Seaside location to sandy beaches was excellent and just a 10 minute walk for a bus into Bournemouth town centre. We would definitely stay there again when visiting the area.
The £12 per person breakfast price could have been included in the room price even if that put the price up a little. Basic tea and coffee was included in the breakfast price but you had to pay again for a special coffee.
