Scrumptious breakfast with brilliant catering for coeliac As is my husband.. spacious bathroom with walk-in shower with smellies , quality white bedding and towels, room was immaculate.

Our only wish was for a suitcase rack but that’s a minor in the bigger positive of the stunning hotel.

I had a fantastic stay at Derby Manor and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bournemouth. From the moment I arrived, the warm and welcoming staff made me feel at home. The room was beautifully designed, spacious, and spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed that ensured a restful night’s sleep. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail in the decor and amenities, which added to the overall luxurious feel. The breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared, offering a great selection to start the day. The hotel’s location is also convenient, making it easy to explore the area. Overall, Derby Manor exceeded my expectations with its exceptional service, comfort, and peaceful atmosphere. I look forward to returning in the future!

The room was well presented. It had everything we needed. We had one breakfast on our last day which was lovely. Initially I thought the price of £15.00 was a little much but it really wasn't for what you got and the service was great too.

I have two small complaints. The tap in the bathroom sink was in need of descaling as the water only trickled out. Not a major issue. The other was the lighting outside our room and the gap around the door, it let all the light in. The door needs something to block the gap for a more restful nights sleep. It really does light the room up at night. Not something you would notice in the day.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. It was lovely to be able to have free tea and coffee in the lounge. Being able to call for a taxi with a push of a button was an added bonus, also having a free map available with details of a walk to the beach and local restaurants was great. Breakfast choice were very good, teapots and a toaster that actually toasted the bread made for a lovely stay all round, thank you !

We were staying for three nights so maybe a room with more storage space and hooks to hang our coats would have been useful especially as the weather was somewhat wet !

We stayed at Derby Manor for a couple of nights in February in the Goodwood Suite (called the Executive Suite on booking.com). The room was absolutely beautiful and very tastefully decorated. The bed was a super king size and was comfortable, although a little soft for us. The furniture in the room was beautiful and there was a plentiful supply of tea and coffee. However a small fridge in the room would've made it perfect. The bathroom (walk in shower, no bath) was small but very well decorated, although the pressure in the shower could have been better. The hotel is in a residential area, 10 minutes walk from the sea front and about 25 minutes walk into Bournemouth town centre. It was nice and quiet and we slept well. We had breakfast included in the price - on the first day everything was a little overcooked and the meal was underwhelming. However on the second day the breakfast was much improved and everything was cooked and presented really well. There was also a selection of cereals and fruit and unlimited toast, tea and coffee. The staff throughout the hotel were fantastic - we had a problem with the TV remote and, although this wasn't resolved, the staff tried really hard to fix it. We were made to feel very welcome and very much enjoyed our stay.

The hotel was ideally located in a quiet area but not far from the seafront or the town. Unfortunately we weren't able to have breakfast as we had to leave early in the morning for a hospital appointment but there was plenty of drinks available both in the room and in the lounge, teas, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. The decor of the hotel was superb and spotlessly clean. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again. There was parking and lovely garden outside with chairs and tables. A lovely relaxing break . Beds were very comfortable. The hotel had lots of character in the edwardian style and is a perfect getaway if you are looking for luxury accommodation .

I couldn't fault anything there was nothing I could complain about.

This hotel massively exceeded our expectations, especially considering the money paid. It is without doubt, the best hotel we've stayed in, since our Canadian honeymoon. The room itself was large, the bed extremely comfortable with good quality linen and the spa bath was absolutely lush! For someone with joint issues, I loved the spa tub! The staff were also highly accommodating and understanding when we explained we would be using needles in our room due to being half way through an IVF treatment cycle. We will certainly be back!

My only complaint is a little dust here and there, but we aren't picky! Also, more for information than a complaint, the car park on site isn't huge, but their sister hotel literally across the road has additional parking so there's space for all guests, it might just take a bit of shuffling.

We stayed one night at Derby Manor Guesthouse and absolutely loved our stay. I keep my decor in my house quite neutral and booked this as I loved the looks of the rooms; I was not disappointed; they were exactly as the photos showed. We stayed in the Grand National room and it was immaculately clean, very spacious, with a super comfy bed and a large bathroom. We loved having a full size, deep bath and the separate shower had amazing pressure! We were welcomed when we arrived with a professional friendly welcome and shown the bar and additional lounge room that guests can use, both which are tastefully decorated and it was such an added bonus to have this space. We were also given a list of local restaurants and cafes; we chose one of these (The Larder House) to have dinner at and it was amazing. Upon returning home from Derby Manor, I realised I’d left my coat hanging in the hotel room. I contacted the hotel and they could not be more helpful and even offered and promptly returned my coat to me (within the UK) free of charge. I would not hesitate again to book to stay at the Derby Manor Guesthouse and my only regret is that our stay was not longer.

They was nothing.

Our room was luxurious. Tasteful decor with period window features. Furniture complemented to look. The bathroom and shower was perfect. Service was on point and very friendly. Breakfast was very nice , with a range of fruits, yoghurts, juices, pastries, beverages and a selection of hot breakfasts. The decor throughout flows with accentsa of teal and themes of peacocks.

Did see a long cobweb hanging from the chandelier in our room. Saying that the ceilings are so high. The feature wall was covered in small webs and dust which could be wiped away quite easily. You would need a ladder to do both. We found the matress quite hard and I woke up with a sore hip. The curtain pole fitting looked unfinished as there was a hole around middle fixing that requires filling. The TV was situated over the dressing table, which is where the mirror would be for doing hair and makeup. Nothing that isn't easily put right.

The property was lovely and clean. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. They were very helpful when we asked certain things about our stay. The quality of the bed was very comfy, the curtains were not only blackout but almost seemed sound suppressing as we slept with the window open and a room at the front of the hotel with a gravel driveway, one of us are a light sleeper and slept through any noise. Told the hotel it was our anniversary, right away on arrival wished us congratulations and given a card, made the stay more special and very grateful for what they offered. The food at breakfast was very good and there was a good variety as well not just a full English. We had the “smallest” room type but was very spacious. The added little extras of tea/coffee and bottled water in the room,able to have more than 1 extra cup. The unlimited access to tea and coffee in the lounge area was lovely. There was the lounge area which is unusual for a hotel but a wonderful idea and a nice place to relax as well your room. The bar area was clean and good quality/variety of drinks. The overall appearance of the hotel was above expectations. Made us feel safe as main reception is locked after a certain time and there is another door that only guests can get in. Liked that on arrival there was a map and a sheet of different restaurants.

The shower leaked on the floor and due to being an open shower there was a lot of extra water when the shower was on for a long period of time. There was one occasion where we asked for our room to be cleaned, the room was tidied and bed made, however the sheets weren’t changed and there was an obvious mark on the bed. Feel 10:30 for standard checkout is a little early so had to pay extra for late checkout. Couldn’t get radiator in bathroom to work, instructions on how to turn on and temperature gauge would have been helpful. A card already in the room for WiFi or given the card on arrival, as we searched the whole room for the WiFi code.
