Easy check in and check out. Clean and nice, definitely good value for money! Facilities were good, walls are a bit thin, but that's just the building and everyone was quiet, so didn't matter much at all! Host's were excellent and gave all the information needed. Bed was comfortable, and the sheets were clean. Great for a weekend stay and a place to rest your head for the night!

Only thing I would say is could use a couple of extra rolls of toilet paper in the bathrooms, unless there were some somewhere which I missed. Being a shared bathroom, the loo roll went down quite quick!

The owners have recently taken over and are refurbishing each room as they go along. I might not have stayed in a refurbished room but it was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and shower was good. You can park in front or on the road. If it's busy there is a public car park at a very cheap rate for 24 hours, which I used. The owners are extremely friendly and will help you with everything you need or questions you may have. I wish them all the best and would definitely go back and try one of the refurbished room. I got the chance to have a little peek 😉

Maybe not enough car spaces but then you are aware of this and the public car park is great value, safe and only 5 minutes walk.

Stayed at the Strand 11 to 15 June 24. It is clean, comfortable and a quiet guest house . Being honest for the price, what you get is fair . I didn’t see or have any people harassing us day or night, after all said it’s a base and for somewhere to sleep. If you’re looking for a bar or restaurant they’re five minutes away . Lovely Hotel / Guest House and fantastic Breakfast Smashing Host Carl who went out of his way to make me and my stay so good

Boscome is unfortunately a run down area of Bournemouth ( as most are ) Fantastic Beach’s but the interior needs serious make over as most people think of Bournemouths past as classy but it’s now becoming an embarrassment as dirty streets and run down areas with rather threatening people larger than life My best advice is pay quite a lot more and stay in classy Swanage as it still has class The Strand is a little oasis in the despots of Bournemouth run by a lovely guy Carl

Parking right outside the hotel, as everything is easily within walking distance. We stayed in exactly the same room as last time where everything has been really well maintained. The shared bathroom is adjacent and always kept clean, I never had to wait for another guest; there's also a fridge right across the hallway. Breakfast was fresh with lots of selection and we even sat on the patio with a coffee for a few mornings. Absolutely would come back again, but not leave it so long this time. Too busy having fun to take photographs, but I guarantee you won't get any nasty surprises in a place like this. Host was fabulous!

I understand the need to change with the times, but we did miss the cooked breakfast we indulged in on a previous visit.

For perspective, I'm commenting as a solo traveller. This place has excellent value for your money. It was my first time staying in a bed and breakfast, and I would certainly stay again. The managers were welcoming and professional, and they took the time to explain everything I needed to know to make my stay go smoothly (keys, front door opening hours, emergency number, etc). My room was small but offered much more than the typical chain hotel rooms I usually book, and for a third of the price. For instance, it had two laminated cards: one that had all the useful details about the place (wifi password, emergency number, quiet hours out of courtesy, etc) and another that offered restaurant recommendations separated according to meals and preferences. The room and shared bathroom were clean, comfortable, airy and well-stocked. They even have a koi pond.

The location was very convenient. Presently this hotel is going under some renovation however for a family watching the pennies the price for the room was very fair compared to other properties in Bournemouth. The hosts were very friendly and did all that they could to make our stay comfortable.

Parking at the property is quite limited. However there is a VERY local car park so it wasn't really a big problem.

The hotel was clean and in a good location. Layla the hotel manager was very helpful and came to introduce herself. Would definitely stay again.

The only thing I think is a shame now that they don't offer breakfast, but this seems to be a common thing recently with a lot of what where b&b's

Host very welcoming, showed me around, I did mention that I would be leaving early in the morning as I had a meeting to attend. I had seen some comments complaining that guests had been disturbed due to people having showers early in the morning and wanted to inform that I hoped that I would not be disturbing anyone. Was thanked for this and it was also explained that, as it was a Sunday, not many were staying and that I would not be disturbing people. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

A nice simple room,- calm decor. sitting room area, mugs for tea and coffee as well as the cup and saucer option! a warm and helpful welcome...shared bathroom great shower. unexpected outside area with 2 restful ponds to sit and contemplate by ... Simple clean and comfortable . 4 Mins walk to the venue , and shops and 10 mins to the pier and sea front..we will be back!

so no view from our room but only staying one night so not a problem. Some creaky floor boards but quite characterful! Sharebathroom but no problem with this as one either side of our room but some may not like this
