Staff were brilliant, polite and professional at all times. Food was excellent, well prepared and presented well. Housekeeping up to standard clean and tidy, although they did miss a broken plug in the basin in Wet Room, thus basin was out of commissions as it could not hold water ( all in one plug). .Also, I-believe that 4 little pots of milk is hardly enough for two grown adults. Like wise with the sachets of coffee Or tea - enough for one drink in the evening and one in the morning - not enough and also no apparent choice between decaf and normal.
Having a room right on the main road ( quiet room!,) No instructions on how to operate the television, all we could get was Euro TV!!!! Welcome Brochure totally out of date and fell to bits when picked up!,

The food was faultless. It was delicious and all the food was locally sourced so you knew it was going to be top quality. The staff were all very friendly and nothing was ever a problem. We loved the location that meant we could go for walks into the countryside straight from our door along the footpaths. The breakfast in the morning was really substantial and it set us up for the day and it was delicious.
The only problem we had with the rooms were the bathrooms. The bathroom were designed as wet rooms so the shower is open plan with a sink and toilet. This was a major health and safety flaw when you have small children and elderly parents using the facilities. We had a couple of near misses of slipping over for the elderly parents and my son on the last night fell heavily on the slippery floor. We also didn't like that all the doors slam when left to shut, this was a problem when you are trying to settle children in the early evening and there are people leaving and coming slamming their doors.

Comfortable Room, bed and wonderful bed linen excellent best ever very tired slept like a log both nights breakfast tasty, hotel garden & landscape grounds. Main building is historic old building. With beams and lots of changes in floor levels - beware.
Explanation about obtaining re- entry to room late after hours unclear and not documented in room information book ( loads of information but not that!) and had to return to reception to get clarification. Not enough tea coffee ingredients in room for two people on arrival , but pleasantly and helpfully, & fully rectified by reception on request. Toilet cistern in room took a long time to refill after 2 flushes to enable 3rd flush ( late at night on return from wedding). We were in room 5 in new modern block. The illy coffee was lovely but the coffee cups handles difficult to hold as have hands of old man and bad fingers.

We liked the room, very clean and comfortable. All needs catered for. The room had a lovely cosy feeling with the tartan carpet and the vaulted beamed ceiling. The hotel catered for our early acess request and always responded promptly to my emails. We were shown to our room by a very friendly staff member.
It would have been nice to have a pot of tea at breakfast rather than using an urn. It would have been preferable to have a sugar bowl on each table, rather than using a sugar pot at the breakfast station. Providing butter with the toast automatically rather than everyone having to ask for the butter would be helpful. The actual breakfast was very tasty. It would have been nice to have a fresh fruit salad on offer as well as fresh fruit.

This hotel was the highlight of our trip. Our room was spotless and the bathroom was superb, the shower was divine! All of the staff we met were polite, helpful and welcoming. Our breakfast was really good. The waitress took our order and the food was delivered hot to our table. It really did taste fresh and delicious. I actually enjoyed this more than the normal 'buffet' you get with a lot of hotels these days where the food sits out on tables and under 'heat lamps' for hours. There is something quite charming about the old custom of ordering from the menu and an actual person cooking it to order and having it bought to your table. I wish we had stayed for dinner at the restaurant as a number of people has recommended it and the menu selection looked outstanding. I'm sure we can find a reason to visit again soon!

The pictures don’t do this place justice. It’s absolutely gorgeous. The staff are brilliant with nothing too much trouble. The restaurant superb, I had sea bass, cooked perfectly and the bedrooms have a luxury feel about them. The whole place looked like something out of style magazine, when you enter the bar you walk into a lounge that shouts relaxation!! I only bother to write a review if I feel it’s something special and it really is!! Truly had a fantastic stay. Thank you
Absolutely nothing and can’t imagine that anyone else could find a fault either!

This was our second visit and it did not disappoint. No table booked in advance as it was a last minute decision and upon arrival greeted with friendly staff who could not do enough for us. Luckily, they did manage to get us a table but with a warning they will need it back by 2pm. We arrived at 12pm so plenty of time. Service was exceptional, attention to detail was impeccable, food was divine, win was flowing, overall a superb afternoon. Thank you to the team. Arranging to come back again shortly and would highly recommend.
It can feel a little too cosy especially if large groups are in, can get a bit loud, but all good fun.

The whole experience was great! The staff were welcoming and helpful. We eat in the brasseire on our first evening and the food was superb with good quality produce locally sourced. I was even offered wine from a local vineyard and it was good. Breakfast was fab with a great range on offer but the omlettes were my particular favourites. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. In the wet room, there was a lovely rainforest shower and the toiletries smelt delightful. I was impressed that a shower cap was provided and if you needed cottonbuds, well they were there too. The White Hert itself is very characterful complete with wooden beams and uneven walls. The grounds are beautiful and there is a country walk but we will have to do that on our next visit.
Everything was super!

The property itself is absolutely stunning and the check in was very friendly and welcoming. The customer service was fabulous (it was a really warm day and the fan that we found in the wardrobe) did not work. I called reception and a replacement was immediately delivered. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable.
There were a couple of small cleaning issues. They didn’t detract from our stay. One of the draws had empty carrier bags that had been left by a previous guest, and there was some cobwebs hanging from the beams in the room. The cooked breakfast was lovely, but the continental was a bit sparse - 4 mini packets of cereal and 3 pieces of fruit.

Beautiful location, building and garden. Would definitely stay again.
Need to be aware that even in the modern rooms there are significant stairs to climb. The website did carefully explain accessibility. However I was surprised that they were so steep. Definitely take advantage of the offered assistance. Fantastic place…
