A great room. Clean and tidy. It's not luxury but it was extremely good value for money. I could not fault the room, the staff, the breakfast or any of the facilities.

Although not an issue for me it's worth noting that the stairs up to the room are quite steep so this may be a problem for anyone with mobility restrictions. Not a lot can be done about it as this is an old building. There may even be some ground floor accommodation available. You would need to speak to the owners directly to see if there is.

The staff were great. We had an issue with our room and it was dealt with quickly, with no fuss. We changed rooms, the new one was very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was very good. Onsite parking

The staff/owners of this hotel are exceptionally attentive and kind. The location of the property to the bus stops and other areas of Long Melford was perfect. Our room was clean, cozy and had recently went through some renovations in the bathroom.

I wished that the lighting in the bathroom had been more extensive. For example, it would have been awesome to have had an additional light on the ceiling above the sink area. Also, there is enough space in the bathroom, I believe, for a small rolling cart or perhaps some shelving. This would've been great to have had in order to set your change of clothes on or additional toiletries. As it was, the only option was to set clothes on the toilet. Lastly, the shower was nice, but leaked water on the floor regardless of how tightly closed the shower door was. I believe this was due to the small open gap between the top of the shower door and the shower frame, itself.

It is a fantastic location. We left the car on the car park the whole weekend and walked everywhere in the village. The pub is lovely with good drink and food selection. The room was clean and comfy and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The building is so quirky and I loved that it’s a proper inn.

The windows really need some maintenance. The frame fixes are not quite flush so it rattled a lot.

Had room 9 and everything was fine, dont like to be picky to be honest but it could do with a good clean, lots of cobwebs all around floor area needed a good vacuuming but otherwise perfectly happy, lots of hot water too

WE were pleasantly surprised with our accommodation in what looked like a well used public house/hotel. The staff were very pleasant and I must here give a special mention to Anastasia. Good car parking at the rear of the building. We enjoyed a good evening meal in the bar/ restaurant and breakfast, the following morning was my usual full English. A thoroughly enjoyable one night's stay in a very pretty part of the country.

It was a little too warm for me in the bedroom and spacious bathroom but I suppose that is a bonus for some peopl.

Location was very good for the other facilities that we were looking to use / visit. Cooked breakfast was nice and just right size with plenty of options for drink and other food options available. Friendly staff who welcomed us when we arrived and were very helpful.

The two beers that I tried (bitter) were tired, maybe due to the high temperature that was experienced at the time. Parking was limited, but luckily there was space available for us when we arrived.

Staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The room was lovely, with great original features and the location was great for exploring Long Melford and the wider area. The pub itself is down to earth and serves a decent pint.

Lovely old building, if a little tired. Good location. Really nice food - we had dinner (pie of the day) and a good cooked breakfast. Live music was a good touch. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Would've been good to have a shower aswell as a bath for my other half but i prefer a bath anyway.

Friendly helpful staff, good food in the pub dining room, good location in picturesque village and very conveniently placed for the wedding we were attending.

Decor was a little tired and small annoying things like one of the bedside lamps not working, there were no tea bags in the room. Bolt on bathroom door was difficult to manage, but nothing that really bothered us.
