Fabulous location. Lovely hotel with a warm welcome. Pleasantly surprised to find that the restaurant is privately run and rated highly in the area. Fabulous evening meal staffed by Fabulous people.

Close to restaurants, quiet, lovely reception on arrival by Ray, comfortable room and great breakfast with gluten free options. Easy parking on-site.

The warm welcome on arrival - tea and cake was a lovely touch! The room was spotless, and so very quiet. Best nights sleep I've had in a very long time! Eco and locally sourced products in the bathroom was a wonderful addition. I saw an "honesty bar" in the main room, but as I'm tee-total, I didn't use it. But a great addition none the less. Superb breakfast too! Not just a full English but a full menu of locally sourced food to kick start your day!

I simply can't fault the hotel. Perfect in every way for me and simply did not disappoint.

When we first arrived we saw that we had our very own parking space with a personalised welcome greeting which was a lovely touch. We were greeted by a very nice man (sorry can't remember name) who offered us a hot drink and then went through the hotel information & offered some advice on places to visit and nice places to eat. He also took down our continental breakfast preferences (you can also choose from a cooked selection on the day). Our room was lovely, very cosy & tastefully decorated in light neutral colours. It had a four poster bed (they laid out rose petals as was out anniversary!) and even though it was at the top of the annexe barn conversion it didn't feel cramped. The bathroom looked brand new and was fabulous, very large shower with both handheld and rain shower heads. The breakfast was delicious, got all our continental choices spot on and when we asked to leave out a couple of items from the full english our waitress offered us 2 alternatives, she was very professional and friendly. The location was also excellent, Brockenhurst is a charming village right in the middle of the New Forest with plenty of scenic walks nearby. They have wild ponies, donkeys, cows and even pigs! In the evening we chose to eat at a lovely family run Italian called Enzee, would definitely recommend. Overall we had a wonderful experience and would definitely return to the Cottage Lodge Hotel if we ever staying in the New Forest again.

The hot tap in the bathroom sink does get extremely hot so you need to be careful not to scald yourself.

The size of room, carpet, shower, quality of toiletries, tv reception and ambience of room were excellent. The quality breakfast was also excellent

The very strong smell of bleach from the bathroom was unpleasant and I commented on it when we arrived. The room needed airing to remove it.

I lliked the bright simply decorated rooms with white walls and stencilled trees. Peaceful. Furniture was good too, especially liked the wooden bench in the bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast had great choice. Check in and out times were good.

Quaint property with a cozy feel. Love emphasis on organic produce and the local organic toiletries provided in the rooms were lovely. All the staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

We have stayed here previously and loved it so much we returned. Staff always helpful and friendly, rooms always lovely and clean. perfect location and breakfast is always delicious!

The breakfast was very tasty, all the local produce they use was wonderful to see and sample. Location is great for ease of access to the forest and train station. Staff were very friendly and helped out in any way they could. Beautiful little cottage, perfect for a weekend getaway.
