The staff were very friendly and helpful.Breakfast delicious.Very comfortable bed with high quality linen.Excellent location.Bonus car park space.

Although we had been told that it was a Sport’s bar, we had thought that there may have been a quiet nook for residents.We ate dinner on the second night,which was very good btw, but it may have been more enjoyable if the tv above the banquettes had had a lower volume and dimmer lights.The sports fans were catered for in the other side of the bar. In fact,we didn’t feel comfortable finishing our bottle of wine and requested to take it to our room which was a shame so early in the evening 😟

Location was excellent with good parking and covered area outside. Breakfast also excellent. The room was lovely, decor beautiful and in keeping with the nautical name. Although small the room had a comfortable bed and just enough cupboard shelving and hanging space. New TV.

The stairs up to the rooms were windey and although at 78 I managed OK they weren't the easiest. My single room was very small, had to be very tidy, fine for a night or two but might become annoying for any longer. I understand the double rooms are very much larger.

Really nice staff, great pub with good atmosphere and exceptional food... Sunday roast and breakfast were excellent. Room was very nice recently refurbished to a high standard. A really good stay at the bosuns chair over a long weekend with friends. Top location, great outdoor area too.

Bathroom window was drafty which made that room colder.

Great location next to the station and a 20 minute walk to the Ferry terminal where I caught the ferry. Single room was comfortable, modern and very clean. Excellent power shower. Lovely breakfast of salmon and scrambled eggs. A big portion!

Parking is tricky. If you get lucky to park in their car park, no problem. Remember it’s a pub so always busy and has room for about 10 cars. I couldn’t park there and finding a space on the narrow streets of Lymington can be a challenge as it’s so popular with visitors.

It was in a central location with good parking. The staff were very welcoming and I was shown to my room, something not many places do now. I had 2 evening meals and breakfast the 2 mornings I was there, the food was excellent. All the staff were pleasant and friendly and very professional. The bedroom was spotlessly clean, a good size and bright and airy. The bed was very comfortable. I would certainly stay here again and would highly recommend it to any one wanting to stay in the area.

Stayed one night here to visit Lymington and was very impressed by the Bosun’s Chair. Great location, just off the main street and right next to train station. Ate both lunch and breakfast here and the food was great and good value. Room was good sized with a nice, big bed and plenty of natural light. Bathroom was a bit small for someone of my size. Really friendly staff and good service. Highly recommended and would stay again.

Be warned - the car park is quite small.

Brilliant location just 5 mins easy walk to quayside and town. Owner and staff were all very helpful and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely comfortable bed and very quiet while we were there.

Car parking not easy to navigate (but free) but this somewhat down to ongoing garden remodeling. Scaffold surrounding the hotel which perhaps should be mentioned when booking. Very small bathroom but, again, this is being addressed during remodeling the interior.

Warm welcome, very clean and well appointed room, comfortable bed an excellent hearty breakfast with attentive service.

I generally for work don't book places that are over £100 a night, however this welcoming pub had many nice little extras, welcoming service etc but wasn't worth the initial 160 as advertised. At 130 was still a little steep, but in fairness, nowhere in Lymington this week was under £100.!! I did forget to tell them the loo seat hinge was loose!!

Stayed for 1 night due to train strikes and couldn't get home. They accommodated our small dog also. Room was really lovely, really comfy bed and spotlessly clean, especially reguarding it being a dog friendly room. Staff are all so lovely and friendly, and the breakfast included was superb! Quality food and incredible presentation! Right next to the train station which was perfect for us, and a short stroll to the quay, or high street. Lovely stay and would return.

Nothing to dislike.

The room had recently been refurbished and was large, well decorated and had everything anyone could need. We were very comfortable. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast, which was included was delicious. Beautifully prepared and presented and made to order. The pub was well situated very near the train station and marina and only a few minutes walk from the centre and Lymington is a great place to visit.
