The bed was most uncomfortable could do with different mattress as very hard and could feel the base, so the sleep was not very good but would still stay again.

Always a warm welcome, and I love how clean the room is. I rated the hotel exceptional and facilities excellent, as this reflects the economical value for money for this hotel. The hotel doesn't have a spa and all the facilities of a 5* hotel, but that is not what I chose. I needed a clean, comfortable hotel when visiting family in the New Forest, and will keep returning and highly recommend. The breakfast is excellent and served by friendly, helpful staff. All the staff are helpful. The location is truly exceptional! Just a short walk to the village High Street of beautiful Lyndhurst.

I stayed here with my son and dog. We had a triple room which was very clean and spacious, as was the bathroom. A cooked breakfast every morning and even for our dog Max who had a sausage for each morning!! Staff here are so friendly and it was lovely to find a hotel that is so dog friendly. A great location to explore the New Forest. Plenty of places to eat and drink in Lyndhurst and all within walking distance.

Everything was great and we will return.

Breakfast was very good, and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. Marcel at the reception desk on arrival was exceptionally kind and promptly attended to our every request. Will be visiting again!!

We honestly could not find fault with the service. We were very pleased! It was very good value for money and worth visiting again. The location is superb! We could not have chosen a better location and we enjoyed walking in the countryside for nearly 4 hours, stopping at an inn for a hot cuppa!! And the locals, including one horse--greeted us warmly!!

Literally just off the high street and minutes from the forest walks so location is great. Easy free parking at rear of hotel, there is a rear entrance. Breakfast is fabulous, cooked or continental is available. Staff are very welcoming and patient with requests. I stayed in a small single room at the front of the property facing the road, if you're a light sleeper you will probably struggle with commuting traffic noise, but I'm not so slept fine.

There was no lightbulb in the fitting above the bathroom mirror.

The high street was only a couple of minutes walk away and the hotel has its own parking facilities. The staff here were an absolute credit to the hotel one lady receptionist (unfortunately I didn’t get her name she was from Dublin was so welcoming, friendly and helpful A*****

The main reception/entrance hall area needs updating it looks a little tired, our room was beautiful and if all the rooms are to that standard, the reception area lets the hotel down.

Lovely staff during morning breakfast. Breakfast was very generous and delicious. Free cot provided. Great location and free parking.

Cot blocked the wardrobe and there was very little space to get out from the bed for the adults. Very small room and bathroom. Reading lights by the bed were not working and when asked about it to the person at the reception he said he had no idea what I was talking about and he didn't offer to help. Our room was up two flights of stairs. One of them being quite narrow and not very safe for young children (free fall from one side to the floor below). Quite a few dogs barking overnight from the other rooms and dog hair in the room carpets. These are just little details as it is a beautiful little place and the room was lovely even if small. We enjoyed hour stay and we will return asking for a different room and floor.

Nice hotel, easy walk from centre of town, just fair enough back from main road to be quiet. Comfortable room, my partner appreciated the bath (I had a shower). Excellent Wifi. Good breakfast. Quirky bicycle theme (although as far as I can make out all the guests arrived by car).

A "mind the step" sign on the room door would be helpful, the step down is just inside the door and well camouflaged by the carpet. I'm still just agile enough to stumble rather than fall when the floor is lower than I expect, but it could be dangerous for the elderly. (I expect this only an issue for one room)

Very clean, spacious room (only negative needs full length mirror) but apart from that our room was perfect. The receptionist was so pleasant and helpful she really is a credit to this hotel (unfortunately we did not get her name but we checked in at about 4ish on 7th September)

We really don’t have any complaints. We didn’t have breakfast so cannot comment. The only criticism would be maybe spruce up the entrance/reception area, our room was beautiful but this wasn’t reflected when you first enter the property, which is such a shame.

The breakfast every day was fast and hot with a good selection. And as I was there over Christmas there was a cracker with it too :) the staff (and one receptionist in particular, I think her name is Etre) went out of their way to make my solo Christmas stay really special. The location was about as good as it gets, a stone's throw from the lovely Lyndhurst high street but also right next to some gorgeous new forest walks. Everything was spotless.

The mattress was a bit springy but it didn't really affect my sleep. There was a buzzing noise in the bathroom, not sure what from. Only minor things tho!
