The hotel was in the middle of the High Street, with a good location for walking and getting around. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel is part of the pub/ restaurant which served great food. It's an old property with lots of quirky features. Our room was clean , spacious, lovely, and warm with a very comfy bed, with a good night's sleep. Lots to do in Lymington, steeped with so much history, well worth a visit.
A little noisy in our room due to the bar/ restaurant . But it didn't interrupt our sleeping , floorboards were creaky, but it is an old building, which we expected.

Staff were very friendly and the food available at the pub was fantastic.
Low ceilings / door frames. No ventilation in the room, so it ended up very hot and humid overnight. Windows didn’t seem to open. Fan was provided but it didn’t really cool the room.

Central location, traditional atmosphere, local musicians playing on Thursday evening, convenient parking . Reasonable sized bathroom .Friendly professional staff.
Our double room was cosy ,the bed was up against the wall on one side requiring a certain agility from one of us ! With only a thin wall between us and the room next door it sounded at times as if our neighbours were in the room with us .You could not avoid the noise of other guests walking up and down the corridor on the creaky old floors. However it was good value for money and as long as you know what to expect it's absolutely fine.

Really friendly, chatty and helpful staff. Lunch was very tasty, and the kitchen accommodated some off-menu choices. The bar area is clean and comfortable, candles and log-fires were lit in the evening and the menu was varied. Great location right in the middle of Lymington High Street and a short walk to absolutely everything.
Bar closed very early for a Friday and Saturday night; we were hastily ushered out at around 10:15pm, which was disappointing as we hadn't heard a bell for last orders and staff hadn't told guests that it would close early. For the price paid, it would have been nice if breakfast was included, but there are plenty of options in the High Street which are cheaper anyway.

Absolutely excellent location, right on the high street
Whilst we did find a parking slot in the hotel car park there was the worry that when you got back at end of day that there mightn’t have been a space due to the Hotels admission that a lot of locals knew the car park access code. That really needs addressing. The room was ok but the bathroom well the shower was incredibly small barely any space at all. I’d suggest to any prospective guests to upgrade their room when booking. The upgraded rooms are so much bigger and the bathroom again so much bigger.

Comfortable bed, large room. Bathroom was huge, and warm, lovely shower, but no bath, which was a shame - could easily have fitted one in! Staff were very friendly, easy process for checking in and out, and the location was perfect.
There should have been bedside tables - loads of room to fit a decent sized one on each side of the bed, but lack of meant that we had to leave books and other belongings on the floor next to bed. Shower good, but took a few minutes for any water to actually come out - put this down to being on the top floor!

This old inn has been re-furbished to a very good standard with good quality furniture and fittings. The floors slope a little as you would expect with such an old property but this just adds to the charm of the place. Quality towels soaps and coffee/tea help maintain a standard above normal for this price point. The staff are excellent with a genuinely warm welcome. Food at breakfast and in the evening was great quality good choice and good value for money. The Hotels location right in the centre of Lymington made it ideal to explore the town and harbour.
Plenty of plug sockets but no USB points. Shower is small (not a fault just an observation. You cant get a bigger one in!) and whilst not a problem to us anyone with limited mobility should know that the rooms are accessed by a spiral staircase.

Lovely pub hotel in a great location. Rear car park is a real bonus. Not guaranteed to have a space but a good chance one will be available and once parked you can leave the secured to enjoy Lymington on foot. We walked the town and key and round to the Isle of White ferry to enjoy a day at sea. Great pub good beers and excellent food including a well priced full English breakfast. Great for dogs and welcoming atmosphere. This is a hotel that's great value and definitely worth visiting as is buzzing Lymington.
The old problem for our retriever Charlie was that we where on the third floor. No lift. . However once there great room and facilities. Worth the climb but not suitable if you have stair issues.

Enjoyed our stay but not the trek up three flights of stairs to the room. No problems with the room itself however. Ate with you one night and the food was very good although the service a little slow - you were understaffed apparently. We had breakfast on one morning and i must say was a disappointment and certainly not worth the money. Selection of drinks were fine and the staff very friendly. We were lucky enough to get a car parking space which was a bonus.
Climbing the three flights of stairs to get to our room. Car parking spaces are quite small.

I loved my stay at this old time coaching inn with ground floor bar and courtyard to the side. Lightly updated to greet the c21st, it’s on a high street peppered with handsome medieval and Georgian shops and cafes, and a couple of minutes’ walk from the picturesque cobbled quayside. An unorthodox period stairwell takes you to the upper floors where the age of the building becomes evident with eccentric slants of the walls and so on. My second floor room had a view over the motley rooftops giving a glimpse of Wight’s hills, across the waters of the Solent. Back on the ground floor, the breakfast room is separate from the bar and is homely and likeable. I had the shakshuka which was delicious. Breakfast options are very reasonably priced for the area. To cap it all, the host was cheerful, friendly and professional. Great base for the New Forest or place to stay a night before/after Wight.
