The staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was great. As I was travelling with my daughter who's coeliac, it was so great that there was plenty of gluten free food she could eat. The staff and chef seemed very aware of what's needed for coeliac disease. The beds were comfortable, and everything was clean. Tea and coffee in the room. I loved the quirky paintings and pictures all along the walls and the history of the place - also the fabulous walnut wardrobe in our room. I was there for a wake - it was well-catered for - again - a good choice of food for coeliacs.

The decor is in need of a makeover before too long.- it's fine but the wallpaper and carpets look very 90s - so not quite old enough to have vintage charm. However, so nice to stay somewhere that isn't completely characterless - just so much potential for a really quirky and characterful hotel.

The staff were exceptional and very accommodating in ensuring the room was suitable for my 7 month pregnant wife. Breackfast was also very good while dinner was filling, making it worthwhile. A special thanks to Mia and Kate. The building is fantastically dated with lots of character without losing much comfort. The choach room was warm and clean, the bed and sofa were comfortable. High ceilings throughout and just a very plesant place to be. Bathroom had a large shower only, no bath, but this was a very good size.

There is nothing negative to share about the hotel or its staff; other hotels may provide a cheaper nights stay with more modern comforts but without the amazing environment and character.

The room was very well presented. The staff on reception were very helpful and also pre booked my breakfast as I would need to leave quite early. The setting is excellent, lots of gardens to wander around. I had an evening meal on site as well and that was excellent. Also reasonably priced.

The location is a little remote, so if you intend to not eat on site then you will need to drive. Due to weather, my room was quite warm, air con would have been good, but I appreciate the building is not suited to this.

Gorgeous grounds, beautiful place, all staff were really friendly and helpful especially Mia and Nick, dinner and breakfast were both superb with fantastic choices for both and quality ingredients all cooked to perfection, very comfy bed and spacious beautiful room

The sofas could really do with refilling both in the room and bar area as they were hard and quite uncomfortable Stayed on a weekday and bar and reception etc was all closed down by 10pm, not a massive issue but wasn't aware that it would all be closed as would have purchased wine and more water from the bar earlier for the room if we'd have known.

The young lady Mia was amazing on the night we stayed not many were there and this one lady was like superwomen she did the reception showed us our rooms and then waited on us in the restaurant and bar. The room was an absolute delight and my friend didn't like his room and again superwomen swiftly sorted it. I believe Mia is an absolute asset to Grafton Manor, so hardworking and clearly loves the place and her job. The food in the restaurant was amazing and great value as was the wine. The bedrooms were beautiful the rooms were warm all night on a very cold day. The mattress very comfortable.

My only criticism is the place needs a bit of money spent on updating the sofas or refilling them. The restaurant lacks abt atmosphere and so needs an update or something. Everything else was perfect.

The breakfast was lovely and all staff very pleasant. My room was wonderful and the bathroom very clean. Lovely ambience to the whole place. Will come here again and have already recommended to friends to come here

My room I think is above the restaurant and although I couldn’t hear the music playing exactly icould hear the drone of the beat which went on until quite late. It didn’t bother me too much as I have loved everything else but would probably ask for a room that wasn’t over the di big area next time lol

Stunning venue, we were upgraded to the bridal suite for no extra charge- unbelievable room! Lovely meal at night and breakfast in the morning. Some comments stated that it was noisy as near the motorway - we had no problems at all with noise and I am a light sleeper! Grounds were stunning and the town of bromsgrove also pleasant for shopping the next day. You can tell it would be a stunning wedding venue.

Staff were not at reception to allow us to check in - I had to physically go into the back to try and find someone, even rung the bell and tried to call the phone. Also when we arrived we got lost and tried to call the phone with no answer. If they have guests that they know are arriving they should be aware to stay near reception, as the same thing happened to a couple arriving after us and staff disappeared again. Dining room was lovely but again, staff were not cleaning down tables when people had left - I appreciate it wasn’t a full restaurant but it makes a difference!

Absolutely stunning property in a scenic location. I stayed here with two friends in the Stafford room, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom modern with a brilliant shower. The staff - particularly Sarah were extremely pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was amazing, I had the eggs Benedict which was delicious and served with French press coffee and a choice of juices etc. I went out for dinner and came back quite late and also realising that I hadn’t checked if they lock up for the evening or there was some other arrangement - I was delighted to see a wonderful little notice advising what door and key to use to get back in. There was wonderful attention to detail throughout. I had an amazing stay and I will certainly rebook when I’m in the area next.

It was like staying at a set of a period drama. It was a fantastic place. The breakfast was high quality and cooked to order. The chef knows how to incinerate bacon if you ask for well done! It is rarely the case in my experience. Staff were lovely. The grounds stunning.

I wish our bathroom had been more historic. But it was great. With modern fixtures and fittings and plentiful hot water. It was not that I did not like it though.

The breakfast was excellent. Good produce used and a range of choices to meet most expectations. The meal was of a high standard altogether with bread and coffee being flavoursome as was the rest of the breakfast. Service was also excellent both at breakfast and during the evening meal, staff were well informed, friendly and very much as we expected from this standard of hotel. We both had steaks from the evening menu. These were cooked exactly as ordered with the tender beef farmed locally in Herefordshire. Our congratulations to staff and the chef! We had time to walk around this beautiful and historic building and through its extensive gardens to the lake. Our room, the Garden Room, had lovely views of the front lawns and trees and a comfortable four poster bed. Altogether, a really lovely experience and we would certainly visit again!

One of the radiators would not switch off in the lobby to the bedroom, but there was plenty of fresh air available and an electric fan on this warm summer evening. Staff assured us that the radiator would be fixed the following day. ~Everything else was truly excellent. The hotel has real character and history that makes the stay memorable.
