Location was central to where we wanted to be. The staff were lovely, helpful and approachable. Breakfast choices were excellent. Clean comfortable room. Pleasant communal areas. Good food.

Requested a twin room on booking, but only a double was available. We were told that as a standard room was booked, we were given what was available. We only discovered this on arrival. My friend and I felt uncomfortable sharing a bed, so sleeping was difficult. However, the hotel was pleasant. Would stay again if the bed situation was what we wanted. The food was lovely, but expensive. They did have a deal that was value for money, but only if we had 3 courses, which was too much for us.

The Holiday Inn in Bromsgrove is an ideal choice for families seeking a comfortable and budget-friendly stay. Notably, the rooms are impeccably clean. The reception area exudes warmth, and the dining options are both excellent and reasonably priced for a family of four. We dined there every day and found each meal to be exceptional. Having experienced both the Holiday Inn and Bromsgrove Hotel and Spa, we can confidently say that the Holiday Inn surpasses the latter, making it our top recommendation for families in search of both comfort and affordability.

The Holiday Inn in Bromsgrove suffers from a notable drawback in the form of its poorly maintained car park and entrance. Despite being spacious and free, the car park is riddled with large potholes, creating a hazardous environment that urgently requires resurfacing. Furthermore, inadequate outside lighting means that navigating the area at night is treacherous, as the potholes pose a significant risk of accidents and potential insurance claims. Additionally, the hotel's entrance lacks sufficient lighting, making it easy to miss, especially on dark nights. These issues are substantial and warrant immediate attention from IHG hotels. While the hotel's interior is commendable, urgent action is needed to address these external concerns.

We received a warm and friendly welcome upon arrival, and there was ample parking available. We stayed here for the air show festival, and our room was clean and perfect for our needs. Dinner in the evenings was amazing, with comfortable seating, plenty of tables, and a great atmosphere all around. Breakfast was also spot on. The staff were always smiling and incredibly helpful; nothing was too much trouble for them. From the receptionists to the waiters and waitresses, everyone was kind and accommodating. The gym is well-equipped, and the pool is excellent. We will definitely be back! A big thank you to everyone

Appalling driveway around the hotel full of potholes, which badly needs attention. Somewhat disappointed with the lunch and evening menu, compared with last year at the Guildford Holiday Inn, especially the removal of the superfood salad bowl nd falafel wraps.

Ideal location for what we wanted (Cadbury world and West Midlands safari park). Kid friendly, lovely friendly staff, great bar, amazing food-the chef even peeled an apple in one go for my son and came out to present it to him!! Lovely decor but friendly staff made it a great stay!

The pool area itself is a little run down but I enjoyed using the steam room and sauna and the kids enjoyed the pool.

A Fantastic, friendly welcome when we got there. Lovely bar and lounge areas and also outside seating area. wonderful selection of everything at breakfast. The full English was all beautifully cooked. Again, welcomed with a friendly smile when we went down for breakfast and even chatted to us at our table regarding our day ahead. I am only sorry that we cannot remember staff names but all that we came into contact with were friendly and helpful. First time here but would stay here again. Room excellent, shower was wonderful.

It's not a dislike but a little brochure in the room reminding us of breakfast times and other services that the hotel has to offer would be good. An information leaflet perhaps.

Breakfast was fabulous, with an abundance of options meeting our dietary requirements to impeccable standards. The dining room and serving areas were immaculate and well-maintained by attentive and professional staff.

When we arrived on the evening of 1/12/24 we noticed the car park had some potholes. It had rained very heavily so there were some deep puddles of water. I noticed an overflowing litter bin there too. However, upon entry we were warmly greeted by the staff member at the reception desk.

The property has recently been renovated inside - the rooms were bright and colourful and modern as was the dining areas and the bar. It was very comfortable with lots of areas to sit and chill, various tvs and also lots of board games. It was lovely ! Food was very good too and not too pricey.

The outside is really tired looking - it was like walking into an entirely different world when we walked inside as the inside was fabulous! The pool area I assume has yet to be renovated.

The room was an upgrade and very spacious. It was warm, which I wasn't expecting and had complimentary goodies.....again unexpected.....but deserved. (see below) The room was not overlooked and had a comfortable settee.....the bed was exceptionally high off the ground, superb mattress and great for bad knees! The Housekeeper was really friendly and competent.....as was the Gym Supervisor.

I booked via Hotel Booking.....non-refundable. No problem.....then An email from the hotel saying 'no air-con or heating.....other than portable. I contacted Holiday Inn to cancel and was referred back to Hotel Booking........non-refundable. I then received an email saying refurbishment was causing some disruption........again no cancellation rights. (the Hotel courtyard resembled a bomb-site.....as did some internal corridors. It will be great when finished....I'm sure. This is a blatant case for Trading Standards.....I appreciate the 'third party' booking scenario....but.....Holiday Inn....THIS IS DAMAGING YOUR BRAND. Your receptionist was less than helpful at the Hotel on booking in and bordered on impertinent. THANK YOU FOR THE ROOM UPGRADE AND I HOPE THIS HELPS

Staff throughout the hotel were superb. Our room was clean, comfortable and a good size. Breakfast was buffet style and good value with choices. We also ate in both the restaurant and bar. The bar meal was particularly good. We stayed for 3 nights while visiting family and found the location good with easy access to M5. This is going to be our first choice hotel when we visit the grandchildren from now on.

2 small negatives to stop us from giving a 10:- We arrived in the night in bad weather and missed the entrance. It could really benefit from an illuminated sign either outside of or on the building itself. The loo roll holder is a long way from the loo in the bathroom.
