The food is spectacular - a real treat!
Car parking very crowded and not reserved for guests and crammed in the evenings so a real issue after a long journey not being able to park - would be good to reserve spaces for paying hotel guests? We were lucky someone left just as we arrived. A table for dinner really needs to be pre booked - we were not alerted to this pre arrival but managed to be squeezed in for last orders - if you are staying here book your table in the restaurant as the food is simply great especially fillet steak Rossini!! Bedroom could do with done hooks on wall/behind door to hang things and only one chair in double room But overall excellent as the good made up for the other shortcomings and the staff were great and well trained

Good old fashioned Inn tucked away off the beaten track. Great location for Cardiff and attractions in the Vale of Glamorgan. Comfortable room with enormous bed! Excellent food with a good choice and interesting "specials" on the menu. Lots of local real ale and a modest but excellent wine list. Hearty breakfast. Staff were friendly and attentive.
Pub is on a steep hillside and there are some steep stairs for less able folk. Car park is not huge and on a steep slope - could be a challange for nervous drivers!

The room was spacious and clean, the personnel was exceptionally nice, the check in/out procedure really fast. They accommodated all my needs in terms of invoicing. The breakfast was amazing and fresh. For dinner you can dine in their exceptional pub, one of the best that I have been the last 2 years that I am living in the UK. There is a parking but be careful if you on the afternoon it might be full of pub customers on the parking. Park on the road below and move it later. Finally, it is really close to Treforest which is really convenient and it is located near hiking routes
I liked everything

Perfect location for visiting family in the village. Lovely spacious room - usually in hotel rooms we have to take it in turns to use the floor for our respective Pilates exercises, but here we could both work out at the same time! Comfy, large bed, and a good deep, long bath with plenty of hot water - just the thing to relax us before bed. Issues dealt with very promptly - when I mentioned that one light bulb was flickering Rob changed it within 5 minutes. The breakfast is exceptional - didn't need any lunch on the days we went for the full Welsh! Excellent evening meals and beer too. I could quite happily take up residence!
Breakfast service was very leisurely - OK if you've nothing in particular to get to in the morning, but if you've an early appointment worth being clear about the time you need to leave. A bell or something in the dining area to summon the attention of staff would be helpful - ended up going into the kitchen after 5 minutes waiting, to let people know we'd arrived, and even then no-one seemed to hear when we shouted hello.

This is a great place to stay. Very comfortable and clean. The staff are really welcoming and very accommodating. Easy distance from Cardiff. I have stayed here before when the restaurant has been open and the food and drinks were excellent.
Nothing bad to say about this place, though I was disappointed that the pub/restaurant wasn't open the night I stayed. I was made aware of this in advance but it did mean having to drive to find food.

The location and the pub was beautiful. The food was delicious and there were real ales at the bar. The room was was comfortable and had everything we needed. The parking was fine; there was plenty of space in the pub car park. The breakfast was rather good actually. They had red berries on the buffet in addition to a full welsh. Would have loved to have had the time to explore the area more.
This is more of a general comment on Cardiff accommodation across the board. I find the prices have been massively affected by the cost of living crisis, and in addition, I find I can't afford to stay anywhere near Cardiff when the rugby is on or there is any major event at the millenium stadium.

The staff were super friendly throughout my stay. The room was immaculate and well presented on arrival. The food at the pub restaurant for both dinner and breakfast was of the highest quality. This is easily the nicest b&b that I've ever had the pleasure of staying at! I stayed here for business purposes for one night, the way the staff and locals treated me in the evening was amazing, felt like one of the locals! A warm and friendly atmosphere really does make a difference when you're away from home for the night.

Me and my partner came here to stay as we had a concert in Cardiff. We were amazed at how beautiful the whole place was along with the beautiful scenery. The staff made you feel really welcome and couldn't do more than enough to help you. The food was amazing on the evening and breakfast was to superb standards. Would highly recommend this place along woth saying we will definitely be returning in the future.l

This is the second time we've stayed here. We were in a different room this time and it was equally as lovely as the previous room. There was a fridge in the room with fresh milk and oat milk in it for the tea and coffee provided. The bed was huge and very comfortable and after the pub has closed it's a very peaceful area. Breakfast was gorgeous, we were there for 3 nights and the eggs were perfect every morning. We had dinner in the restaurant on 2 evenings and it was very tasty. The Inn has a car park, so we were able to park close to our accommodation
There is nothing at all that we disliked. However if you have walking difficulties you'd need to book the room on the ground floor as the rooms are in a beautiful old building and consequently the stairs are quite narrow.

Love this pub and the room was lovely as was the food and staff
Only complaint was the window covering. This room is adjacent to the car park and had ill fitting louvre blinds that did little to keep out light. Car headlights woke us as did the security light by the exterior door triggered at 3.50am! Not much sleep unfortunately! I am very light sensitive so probably affected me more than most!
