The hottest shower water ever.The bath was big enough for two. Very comfortable bed and room temperature control that worked. Free parking. Our favourite hotel so far.

The only thing that was a slight shame was that the balcony doors were seecurity looped so we could not use the balcony

The room was amazing. The overall venue was great. Breakfast was also really good and price for it wasn't too bad (12.50 for full welsh breakfast). The grounds are beautiful. Absolutely stunning.

Early check-in was requested but even standard check-in was from 3pm. Our room wasn't ready until 4:30 pm which I think is really poor. I noticed the same was true for many others. We had reservations for dinner at 3:30 and my partner had to change and get ready in a toilet. We were not even offered a drink whilst we were waiting for the room. I thought that was poor for a venue of this standard - expected much better in terms of customer service

Lovely, quiet, peaceful location, plenty of parking, great selection of tasty, quality food for breakfast. Rooms clean, comfortable and homely. Lovely treatments in the spa and afternoon tea was splendid! Nicest sandwiches I’ve tasted. Staff friendly.

Due to there being a locked inner door to the adjoining room, this meant that the people in the room next door could be heard talking which wasn’t ideal. Evening meal in the bar was pricy for what we had, food didn’t have much flavour and my burger / bun was a bit overdone.

On arrival we had a few issues with our room. I went to reception and was met by the duty manager - Rochelle. Unlike some hotels, she was very understanding, empathetic and immediately found a fix by moving our room. Employees of this quality are hard to find and Vale Resort's are lucky to have such people. Thank you Rochelle.

Very little. The bar and restaurant was good, we enjoyed the gym and pool area had a fantastic round of golf. Nothing here to dis-like

All of the staff- reception, cleaning, restaurant were SO helpful and friendly. Always with a smile on their faces and a helpful answer. Also helped/showed us to out room as I was on crutches!

My only criticism would be the helpfulness/knowledge of the booking in staff who a) need more experience/training and b) need more customer facing helpfulness/expertise/training! We extended our one night stay made on Booking.com to two nights and the amount of times that I hade to ring/get confirmation by e-mail to confirm that we were in the same room were numerous. I still have the email trail!

Wide variety of options available for breakfast! From fruit bowls, hot food and continental breakfast options! Spa was excellent! Gym is massive and has every form of equipment that you could possibly need. The room was very modern with a lovely bath and shower! An excellent hotel facility. I just wish I had time to use the tennis courts! Hotel was decorated for Christmas and it was really festive so added to the joy!

The difficulty to get Ubers due to the location!

Breakfast wasReally good. Piping hot. Lots of choice. A free and regular shuttle to Hensol Castle, wedding venue, in fact available as needed Room was ready when we arrived which we were not expecting.

Everything was great. A bit expensive when you’re not using available facilities and are only really needing a bed for the night but location stunning so not really grumbling.

Pool facilities were great. The hotel rooms and in general was clean and tidy and spacious. Bar area was good too where we enjoyed food and drinks until late.

Internal Wi-Fi and general system was down, so slightly frustrating that the keys weren’t working but staff on each floor were helpful and quick to respond when letting us back into the room

Breakfast was excellent has everything you could want inc cereals, fruit, pastries & cooked. Golf course was very wet thinking it should have been closed due to rainfall, but we still enjoyed our game

Our room wasn’t prepared properly the duvets are to big for covers which obviously don’t fit properly bedding was left lumpy and looked a mess

Room was very spacious and well equipped for the night. The bathroom was lovely and big, and the room was very comfortable. I will definitely be coming again soon and the shuttle service to Hensol Castle was very helpful too!

Only issue I had was the A/C didn't work properly but it wasn't too warm that night anyway. I did ask reception about this and they did try to reset it but think there could have been a bigger issue - didn't affect my overall stay however.
