The location was ideal. The bed was comfortable and the staff were lovely

The noise at night due to the main road and flight path. For a bridal suite/ deluxe room, it could’ve had a more prestige choice of welcoming drinks and maybe room service. It wasn’t as deluxe as I had thought it would be.

Staff were very helpful, bedroom and bathroom very clean. If it wasn't raining, should have had views of the moors. Off-road parking available both at the front and rear of the hotel.

Arrived at 8:45pm and the kitchens staff had already left. No clothes hangers in my room. If arriving from the M1 direction, there is a Fish and Chip shop and restaurant - unfortunately the restaurant was closed. Discovered the chippy does not have pea fritters! There is a Tesco about 3/4 miles beyond the hotel, so between the chippy and Tesco, I managed to obtain sustenance.

Handy for the motorway but without street noise. Friendly staff. Decent food. Room was spacious and well-equipped. Decent sized en suite. Comfortable and quiet. Good Wi-Fi. Parking was excellent.

As tends to happen in most hotels I’ve stayed at, the television wasn’t brilliant, especially for people like me who are hearing impaired. I just don’t like wall-mounted televisions as they are usually far too far away and too high on the wall. Plus the noise inevitably carries through into the next room no matter how quiet you think you’re being. But that was really only a minor inconvenience for me as I had plenty to read with me.

Super friendly staff, spotlessly clean, very comfortable room, comfy bed, good shower over a bath. Lots of easily accessible parking. We had the continental breakfast - excellent choices, generous provision and amazing value at £5 per person!! Have used before as it’s very convenient for seeing family, and so much nicer (and better value) than a faceless chain hotel - will use gain.

It’s a bit “tired” in terms of decor in some areas but the high level of cleanliness easily outweighs this for us.

First time staying here as im refusing to pay the ridiculous prices the large budget hotels are now charging. This hotel compares favorably, rooms are on par with leading brands definately no worse. Shower worked well it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great, freshly made to order.

Little things, tiny tv in room, breakfast not until 7am, a bit late for me.

Nice quiet location, although they don’t do meals Friday to Sunday. They had no problem loaning crockery and cutlery and our ordering food in.

Being disabled the room was fine, just the bad weather wasn’t ideal as the walk from room to the main establishment was down/up a steepish gradient from room.

Receptionists were lovely, room itself was clean, spacious & comfy. Location was really good for splitting up driving between areas.

There's no lift! For me it wasn't that big of a problem, I was content to lug a heavy suitcase up a few sets of stairs, but if you had limited mobility etc. this might be a bit of a challenge. The receptionist did offer to help though!

No air con! It would get quite hot in the room. I requested a fan but unfortunately it did not work. During the evening whilst getting ready for a wedding it was overwhelmingly hot in the room and we struggled to apply our make up . Perhaps a free standing fan could be supplied to all rooms.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb and arrived hot and freshly cooked, well worth the money. Location was easy to find.

I have stayed twice at Heath Cottage. The second time was on a Sunday when the kitchen isn't open. I ate in my room, not a problem but the only seat in the room was a low dressing table stool. To be fair I didn't ask for an alternative.
