Lovely country hotel outside Doncaster centre, beautiful spacious room and lovely views across the gardens and golf course. Breakfast was cooked to order in the morning with buffet style cereal, toast, and pastries - very tasty 😋! Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.. We will be back in the future and look forward to trying the spa facilities which we're current closed for renovation.

Keypad entry to the gates at the bottom of the long drive to the hotel which sadly didn't seem to be working however this was reported during our stay. Poor external lighting along the drive to hotel and particularly near the sign directing people towards reception which was at the front of the building near a large tree. Car park area and grassland could have been tidier to the side of the building as it gives the wrong impression to an otherwise lovely hotel/wedding venue.

The room was right at the back of the hotel and was really, really quiet, which was just what we wanted as there was a wedding going on at the front with all the associated noise and disturbance. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was spacious with a large bathroom and all the usual facilities were available. The staff member we interacted with was extremely helpful and attentive. The building is lovely and the extensive grounds a joy to walk or drive through.

The room was so big that the picture on the wall-mounted TV set on the end wall was a bit small for comfortable viewing from the bed!

Room was amazing even the cleaner was so helpful and friendly, she informed us of good places close bye to visit. Which we did. The bar and restaurant staff were very pleasant and made our evenings feel special, especially Toon. The breakfast was very good, with a good choice of food including a full English and continental. We had an evening meal which was also good, the fish is huge. It's a little expensive for some dishes although before five you can get these cheaper. The grounds are kept lovely and used as a golf course. Great place to visit and hope to return with friends soon when the pool reopens. Hats off to all the staff.

Excellent staff and really pleasant rooms and surroundings.

The vegetarian options at dinner (main courses) were not good. Frankly to be charged over £20 for pasta peppers and a tomato sauce felt ridiculous. The dish was described as pulled wild mushroom ragu but looked more like a student pasta dinner. On top of that, at least 4 wines (by the glass) that I tried to order were off the menu. There were only 3 of around 10 whites advertised available, none of which were palatable. Despite this, we had a very enjoyable meal (through starters and desserts and my daughter's main dish was excellent - the cottage pie), and the restaurant bar area were really nice. In short, fab unless you're vegetarian.

The building is beautiful and in keeping with it's period. Staff were very pleasant and polite. Food was scrumptious. Bedrooms were huge and lovely bathroom with everything you need. All areas were clean but glass on doors and windows could to be monitored a little more

Staff we're all in all great, however on arrival i struggled through a heavy glass door with luggage and my Husband with a stick while the member of staff just stood and watched while they waited for us. Maybe a little more attention to wiping the lounge tables down once cleared. Other than that it was top notch.

The rooms were lovely, as was the food & staff. I actually fell & banged my head shortly after arriving (a long line caught around my leg & back I went). The Staff were very helpful first aid-wise & checked with NHS. It also meant the restaurant was kept open a bit later for us as I was still being tended to when we were supposed to dine. Owner has a keen history of the property and has some interesting historic documents and knowledge that we had a lovely talk about :)

Only the rude customer who said 'no' to helping me when I asked him to get a first aider for me as I put my dog back in the car after the dog pulling me over and banging my head which at the time was bleeding, I hobbled myself to reception.

Had an amazing stay, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The room was huge, linen and towels are clean and fresh, kettle with tea,coffee,hot chocolate and biscuits. Standing fan provided, desk and a coffee table with chair by the window facing the golf course. The bathroom was fairly big too, nice and clean, had a view into the woodlands which was great. The food is incredible, we both ordered the soup starter, the beef dinner and it was amazing, definitely cooked to perfection. Desserts are to die for. 100% returning in the future.

I only had breakfast but it was a little overpriced for what you get in fairness though it was top notch, order it included in your booking as it will cost you at least 17 quid otherwise, per breakfast, the room was very spacious and luxurius, the bathroom was super posh and i would stay here on holiday

the room was not made up to be twin beds however i did ask them at the desk and they did accomidate and came an hour or so later to make the beds up to be 2 twin beds, and like i said before the breakfast was a little pricey, but otherwise a good stay

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very charming with characterful period rooms and well maintained. I love the bar area with views through the massive Georgian windows onto the rolling golf course. The beds are very comfortable. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Our 7 and 9 year old sons love the comfy beds and really enjoyed the children's menu in the restaurant.

The breakfast is quite expensive and it would be good to select a cheaper option if all you want is coffee and a croissant or a small bowl of cereal.

Rooms were great! Large and roomy, the bathroom was also very large and well equiped with new fixtures. The view out the window was absolutely lovely and it was like having our own private forest out the back.

Furniture was a little bit older and seemed used, so the small table and chairs were a little bit rickety. Also a large stain in the carpet, that had been cleaned, but the discoloration was still there. But the bed and other fixtures, such as in the bathroom were just great.
