Our host Richard was very accommodating and friendly. He was knowledgeable about the local area and recommended places to eat, drink and visit. We enjoyed the artwork the place was decorated with too, along with the more personal memorabilia which was a nice conversation point for us with other guests. We were in the family room which was more than adequate for us. Our room was clean and comfortable and had a beautiful view overlooking the church. Tea /coffee and local information was provided in the room. We managed to park directly outside the B&B, at certain times of the day this will incur a small fee but it's nowhere near the cost of inner city parking. The breakfast was lovely, the dining room had a lovely atmosphere too so it was a great start to the day. The B&B is ideally situated for a walk into town and there are many places to eat and drink within walking distance. We stayed for the first night of our 10 day road trip and we left with high expectations. Without hesitation, we would book to stay here again when we next go to Stirling (if there are vacancies!).

Very comfortably and practical equipped rooms in high standard of accomodation. The place is squeaky clean and looked like recently renovated, everything was new and luxurious. I had the most amazing view from my room and the host could not be more friendly and helpful. Great location too, it is right next to train station, city centre, pubs and bars, but it is quiet street and neighborhood is very peaceful. Breakfast had so many varieties and they asked about my dietary restrictions ahaed so in the morning everything was ready for me. Could not recommend enough!

We reserved The Munro Guesthouse for 2 nights, after having stayed in Edinburgh. We so wish we had taken days off Edinburgh and been able to stay longer in Stirling. The Munro Guesthouse far exceeded any sort of expectation we had. From the moment Richard opened the door to welcome us in, to the gorgeous views, incredible bedding, and an outstanding breakfast, everything was absolutely perfect. The house is perfectly located, so if you’re walking to explore Stirling, or need to catch a bus or train, you could not ask for a better location. And meeting Harley was a definite “cherry on top”! Thank you, Richard, for our amazing stay!

The ONLY downside was the water pressure in the shower; not sure if it was due to tremendous age of the beautiful building, or the shower head itself.

We arrived in Stirling early in the day. I sent an email early on arrival day asking if we could drop our bags before check-in. He promptly replied and we were leave the bags before formally checking in. That afforded time we could explore rather than search for a place to leave our bags. Later in the day, when we finally met, our host was very personable. He provide good information, both in the "room book" and in his responses to my questions about the area. The breakfast was great. There were a number of options centered around the idea of the "Full Scottish Breakfast". He also had some "cold" options like cereal. The neighborhood is quiet and is convenient to attractions, restaurants, and transport. The room was in very good condition.

I really had no issues or complaints.

Breakfast was great. Full Scottish if I wanted it, which I didn't. He had gluten free available. I switched between just scrambled eggs or porridge (GF). But there was yogurt, cereal, bacon, sausage, coffee, tea, juice, milk. Bed was comfy. I slept like a baby. I was happy to have the only bedroom on the ground floor which he gave me a £40 reduction of the original price (which booking.com still needs to give me a refund).

I had a car. On Sunday I could park right there until 8:45 am Monday. Then I had to run out and put a few £ in the machine bc I wasn't yet ready to leave for the day. Same thing if I got back bf 5:30 pm. I had to pay a little. Not a big deal. I'm just glad I had the spare change in my purse. The TV was super small. It was fine. I just had trouble reading the words on the channel guide.

Everything, the owner was a truly lovely man, the room was great, simple but it had everything you could need. Soooooo many plug sockets! It was simply and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked, you could have what you liked and there was plenty available. The owner is originally from Northampton so no dodgy haggis available either ha ha! If you're looking at a place to stay for Bloody Scotland, then this is absolutely perfect location wise.

Breakfast options to maybe include beans! Literally that's it.

Amazing place! Right in the middle of Stirling. Wrote to Richard a few weeks before arrival to see if we could check-in a little before normal and that was no problem. Richard even suggested that we visited Cambuskenneth Abbey because we are from Denmark and a Danish queen is buried there, so we did. The Breakfast was really good and cooked on order when we came down to the dining room. The rooms are nice and very clean and room 2 has a spectacular view to the National Wallace Monument. Don´t miss this place and we will certainly stay here again should we ever visit Stirling again.

The whole stay was fantastic and Richard was the perfect host very helpful and knowledgeable The guest house could not have been closer to the city centre and near all the main attractions The final plus was Harley the dog very friendly and as a dog owner I couldn’t have been more pleased

This obviously is NO reflection on the guest house but having to pay for parking was not great but as I say this has nothing to do with Richard but the council

Richard (host) cooks your breakfast to order with cereal, tea/coffee juice & other items available to help yourself. Room was a very clean & i had a spacious attic room with good sized en suite with brew making facilities & a small TV Location is on a quiet side street, central for train station, shopping/city centre & castle which are all within a 10 min walk

Hard to fault anything really

Close to town Centre, lovely breakfast, very clean and comfortable. Lovely quirky breakfast room. Richard was very welcoming, friendly and informative and made me feel very at home. There was no parking which I was aware of when booking. Richard recommended a car park about 5-10 minutes walk away which was only £3.50 for 24 hours but there’s parking outside free outside permit hours.
