I wish the new proprietors luck helping this hotel meet its potential and I hope the local tradesmen get behind them because the potential of this hotel to be the pride of Stirling, as is the hero it is named after, is so high. The building has style, writ large, with its high ceilings, large windows, beautiful curving staircase. The city should close its pubs earlier to cut down on the noise from binge drinking students or move that activity out of the town’s centre. There is a need in every historic town for a mid priced hotel like the William Wallace.
The front entrance is less welcoming but that’s because of security concerns which the city should address with better policing in that area at night.

Hotel was easy to find, just a short walk from Stirling train station. When I arrived was met at the door by Luca, he was very nice and helpful with my check in. Showed me to my room and gave me the key. He insisted if there was anything I needed just to give him a call. On the first night it was around -8 and the front door lock froze thankfully Luca came down and let me in. The room is very private with all the facilities you need and with a comfortable bed and a good view it’s ideal for exploring Stirling.

I had a wonderful stay at the William Wallace Hotel, and I’d like to specifically commend Luca and Agnel for their exceptional service. They were attentive, polite, and incredibly helpful throughout my visit. They answered phone calls promptly, assisted with my luggage, and made sure every detail of my stay was comfortable. Their professionalism and warm demeanour truly made a difference. Thank you, Luca and Angnel, for your outstanding hospitality!

There is no lift and we were put on the first floor instead of second when the lovely girl checking us in saw my walking stick. All the staff were very friendly and the room was clean and tidy. I think this would have scored higher if we had been younger and fitter 😂
There was no lift, the communal showers and toilets need a refresh. We were beside the kitchen and it was very noisy due to this and in general, we could hear everything from the room next door

Room was as well equipped as you'd expect from any hotel room. Communal bathrooms were very clean and never saw another person in them through my 2-day stay. Located in centre of Stirling.
Room could be described as tatty by some, but I had no issue with it. Much better than most reviews would lead you to believe.

Very nice receptionist, very comfy bed, even got a kettle and some good tea. Maybe not a hotel, because of the shared bathroom, but definitely clean and nice.
Not exactly the same as on the pictures.

Room was comfortable, clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Location in central Stirling very handy with most things nearby.
No en suite toilet/shower available in the rooms but you pay a cheaper for having to share.

Was ideal for the price we paid. We never spent much time in the room as we were out then used it just for sleeping. Great location.
Walls weren’t very sound proof and rooms were very basic.
