Nice old hhotel near centre of Stirling. Friendly, helpful Scottish staff. Good breakfast, cooked or continental, tea/coffee, juice, sereal, yoggot, etc. UK £9 per person. Iceland supermarket is a 5 minute walk from hotel/guesthouse. Steps up to building entrance, staircase to rooms on first floor. Most of the building is carpeted. Room carpeted, two beds with bed sheets, duvets, extra pillows, very comfy. TV in corner of room. Ensuite bathrom, shower, toilet with paper, sink with hand soap. Bin in bathroom and in room. Free tea/coffee, plus milk and sugar sashays. Small desk with draws, towels provided. Small cobboard between both eds. Some plug socketsin room. Free good speed WiFi. Large car park in front of hotel.
Room wasn't cleaned during our 5 day stay. Had to ask for the rubbish bin to be emptied. No lift/elevator to upper floors. Debit card for breakfast without being informed until check-out. Reception closes at 9 pm (21:00). Slightly expensive per night, £114 per night for 2 people for a twin with breakfast extra!

Convenient location; I was visiting my mother in a nursing home. I must admit that it only had a desk chair, not a comfortable lounge chair which I might’ve preferred if I was staying 2 or 3 nights. But for 1 night, it was OK. I couldn’t get the TV to work but I didn’t bother reporting it early on because I don’t have a TV at home but what I usually do is switch it to Radio 4. The boiler was broken but the room had a Dimplex portable radiator which was warm enough and the breakfast was an inexpensive add on so for the price I was quite happy with it!
I’m used to staying at Travelodge, so it’s on a par with that, although the travelodge usually has a more comfortable chair to sit in. But overall it’s comparable but for me the location is very convenient.

We arrived very early, hoping to stash our luggage, but they let us have the room immediately. The breakfast was a very good value, whether full or continental. The room was large, and the facilities were clean. Towels were large, and the shower had enough (and hot enough) water once we figured out how to use it. The room had an electric kettle and tea makings, although no milk.
The basement room was a little cold, with only light-weight covers and no blankets, but when we asked the host provided a portable heater that did the trick. (Fortunately we asked before hosts went off-duty at 8:00pm.) The bathroom door creaked horribly, so we didn’t move it much at night. Only one room key.

Room was a good size although wardrobe space was small, and full of spare bedding. Temperature was easily controlled, turn off the radiator and/or open the window. Electric shower over bath was good. The environment was quiet and close to town centre, less than 10 minute walk. A very pleasant area of Stirling.
Breakfast was really limited, although this was made clear in the booking details. Service was fine but cooking left something to be desired - fried eggs swimming in fat and watery scrambled eggs. Orange juice was good and lots of it, similarly coffee. In spite of this I had breakfast every day.

The room was large and very quiet at the back of the building. Location is perfect for central Stirling, bus and train stations; only minutes away from shopping centre too. Would probably stay there again, despite unfortunate lack of welcome.
There was noone at the check-in desk on arrival, for a very long time. Disappointing. You need to ask a member of staff to show you how to work the shower BEFORE getting under it, as getting warm water is not obvious despite instructions.

As the adults we shared a quadruple room, it was absolutely huge, really comfortable and fitted the bill perfectly for us. It has plentiful parking too, we arrived late on and still had space to park a van. Beds were super comfy and had a great shower too.
Room 10 - needs more than one opening window. With all the glass from huge beautiful windows it created so much heat in the bedroom and very little ventilation to disperse the heat. Also ina smaller room tv would be perfect, a bigger size one would be more ideal for that size of room, but that is just a suggestion more than a complaint!

One of the better places on my road trip. Surprisingly friendly in an off beat genuine way. Close to the centre and cheap Indian restaurants. Good parking. Quite idiosyncratic and funny in lots of ways. Very good breakfast at an unbeatable price. I liked the wardrobe that did not have a door. Generally, I do not use hotel furniture because I am scared of leaving stuff behind. The area was full of old and interesting buildings. (Shame about the George Christie clock tower, that the Council demolished under cover of darkness).
To be honest, the water flow through the tap was poor. And it was difficult to fill a kettle at the sink. I struggled to get the TV to work. Possibly it was just tired batteries. (Room 5). The Reception was a little disconcerting. It could do with having a loud bell.

Excellent location, right in the centre of town, close to all the historic places of interest. Really clean and comfortable. Just the ticket for a short stay in Stirling. Found the hosts warm and welcoming, kind and thoughtful. I would definitely go back
Food was great but felt that it could do with a bit of updating, ie, more emphasis on vegetarian and/ or low carb choices. Beautiful, historic house but I felt that the breakfast room could be moved to a bright downstairs room with windows. It would be a real treat to eat in a room with a touch of historical splendour

The location is literally only a 5 minute walk from the guest house into the city centre, where there are plenty of amenities including The Thistle Shopping Centre which you can access from a side entrance before reaching the main entrance. There is a Sainsbury in the shopping centre also, plenty of shops nearby the guest house including a newsagent for a daily paper etc. Domino's pizza is a 3 minute walk from the guest house also as is Iceland. Despite being near a main road aswell, the guest house was very quiet. No external noise was coming into the guest house which is always a bonus. The breakfast was decent, 2 thick rashers of bacon, 2 sausages, fried egg, black pudding, haggis, beans and of course tea/coffee/juice/toast is available aswell as a vegan option too. Which was nice for £6. There is also the option to only have cereal or toast and fruit juices etc for £3. The staff couldn't have been any nicer, warm and friendly. The housekeeping staff were very helpful and chatty too which was nice to see aswell. All in all, if you want a quaint and quiet little guest house with friendly staff, to rest your head then this is the place for you.
My room didn't have a view at all, except of the hallway of the guest house and of other buildings nearby because my room was possibly located at the side of the guest house.

Lovely, light, clean room (the front with the bay window!) and location (quiet street, 10min walk from the city center with lots of nice restaurants, shops and the train station).
The double bed was very small for 2 people! We booked here to visit Edinburgh for a concert (as the city was full and expensive) and it is about 1h transport to the city and airport (with a taxi, public transport is not hard to figure out but a good 1h15mins). But we knew that in advance and the lower price range and quietness made up for that.
