The location on the royal mile was brilliant. We liked that we had everything we needed - there was a workout room and breakfast area (we used neither) but we did use the fridge. We liked that the cleaning was not every day. it worked well for us. The best bit was that the room was warm! We've had problems with this in the past. The shower had room for two, and was a good pressure. We saw other people ask for more towels/toilet roll etc, but we had enough. plenty of storage.

The hair dryer kept cutting out & shower foam for hair & body, smelled like pine disinfectant (and didn't foam up).

Firendly reception staff, liked the sound proofing room, location good, bed comfy, liked havng our own fridge etc, Very happy with the dicounted car park

microwave a bit tricky to work (techically) took a bit to use it. really though nothing to be unhappy about.

Great room with kitchen, including Nespresso machine. All clean and nice. The location is excellent—right on the Royal Mile, but a little closer to the Holyrood Palace end, so not quite as crowded. Walk to shops and restaurants. Walking distance to the train and most attractions in Edinburgh. I would definitely stay here again.

The bed was a little too firm for my taste, but it wouldn’t stop me from returning.

Noise: Being located in the heart of the city, you may experience noise from the street or nearby bars particularly on weekends or during busy times of the year. However, the noise level is manageable. Limited housekeeping: housekeeping is only provided once a week. However, additional housekeeping services for a fee, and you can always request fresh towels or additional supplies from the front desk. Overall, these issues are minor and do not detract from the overall positive experience that most guests have at the hotel, and the location is unbeatable for exploring Edinburgh

The staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent location: walking distance to main attractions and train station. Appr. 20 minutes walking distance to the airport buses and trams. 24-hours reception. Room/kitchen/fridge size is excellent for two people. In the room helpful instructions on how to use the appliances, towel warmer, safe etc.. Luggage room. Security: hotel, lift, room access only with keycard.

The Wifi was not very strong and needs to be secured. Limited housekeeping. The rooms aren’t not cleaned (including garbage removal, towel replacement), for 8 days in a row, just for an extra charge per cleaning day. But there are no useful cleaning tools in the room to do it yourself. It was a bad feeling for us to ask the receptionist for toilet paper rolls in front of the other guests. For a long stay bathroom toiletries should be better: only liquid soap and shower gel.

The location is great!! its right on the Royal Mile, walking distance to everywhere. The staff where really nice, and helpfulI. The building and the room are modern and well presented. I do recomend this place for a weekend brake in Edinburgh. I would come back again.

As it is an aparthotel, it would make more sense if the room was equipped with an oven than a dishwasher considering that the hotel does not give any condiments to prepare food, you are most likely limited to microwave food although the kitchenette is fully equipped. Also for breakfast purposes it would be nice to have a toaster. There were a few things that were not working properly in the room but after talking to the staff everything was sorted. Apart from that it was all good.

Location on Royal Mile reduced the need for a lot of walking; staff were courteous, helpful, and responsive to questions; size of room was exceptional; obvious functional utility in many small, but important ways evident; room amenities, including kitchenette, microwave, fridge; bathroom; quiet, even though looking out on a plaza, temperature control adequate for cooking during hot spell; quality of the breakfast. During a 10 day trip in Scotland and London, this was by far the superior lodging we used, and we would go back, and highly recommend. MacKay on the Mile restaurant next door was our favorite.

Breakfast not included in room rate ($19 per person); bed was actually a Murphy bed pulled down from the wall, which gave the room more utility for relaxing, but any murphy bed will be firmer than a regular hotel bed; when we needed to book a room the following weekend they were filled up!

We originally had a standard room facing the street on the 2nd floor, unfortunately when we went to take a shower we noticed the shower controls were not working. Once the front desk where informed and had come up to look at we were moved to a different room on the 4th floor. They actually moved us to an apartment which was a very nice gesture as it is an upgrade which we greatly appreciated.

Apartment is getting a little tired could use a bit of tlc and unfortunately of the 2 washers and dryers 1 of each were not working so made it difficult to get some laundry done as we were staying for 6 nights.

The room itself was larger than most hotels I've been too, and I loved the kitchenette (although I did not really use it). The location was excellent, as it was a 5 minute walk away from the royal mile and other places. The breakfast was ok, nothing to write home about but nothing to complain about either.

We had to leave early for our flight and could, unfortunately, not get a breakfast package as I have already received in other hotels. The room door was also a bit strange, as it wouldn't always lock when we closed it and we had to use force (or when we were inside the room, use the manual lock)).

Closeby to the train station but for the bus station you need to walk a bit.
