Excellent room and quality bed. Very quiet room. Simple breakfast in a bag was adequate. There for the Fringe and the central location was excellent. Staff very helpful.

No room cleaning/service included so you have to pay extra for this. When you pay 2K GBP for 7 nights in a studio (Fringe period so I understand accommodation is expensive), I think its pretty petty not to include this, even if its just 2-3 times.

The location of Native was great - Queen Street is relatively quiet (we were on first floor and didn't hear any traffic noise), but it's still really near the shops and restaurants of George St and Princes St for the gardens and the castle. The staff were very friendly and happy to chat about local attractions. I normally travel with or request extra pillows, which the Native team were happy to provide, although I really didn't need them as the pillows we had in our room were super thick! The room, kitchen area and bathroom were spotless. (I have seen previous reviews mentioning no parking or the rooms not being turned over each day - firstly, Edinburgh is an old city - the hotel is in the Georgian 'New Town' - and was never made to accommodate parking, so visitors with cars will need to consider where the nearest parking is beforehand and shouldn't blame the hotel. Secondly, to reviewers complaining about having the rooms turned over - it's an apart/hotel!! the reason people stay here is to have a degree of privacy and being self sufficient whilst being in the centre of a city - if you're the type who *needs* new towels and someone coming in to clean up after you each day - book a traditional hotel! 🙄)

I think there may have been some confusion re. our check out time - we were advised upon check in that this could be flexible, I think as we were staying for 4 nights - later in the stay, when I asked if we could have 12pm check out, I was charged £10, but upon checkout was told our checkout time was already 2pm No biggie - it didn't ruin the stay, but it's work checking!

Good location away from the hustle and bustle without being out of town, around an 18 minute walk from the train station. The rooms are well laid out with mostly everything you need, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. All the staff I interaxted with were very friendly.

The room was located on the ground level next to a stairs exit, which was used throughout the evening. Would just suggest that staff be mindful of noise levels.

It was close to almost everything! The kitchen was great, the washing facility too. I had almost everything I needed.

It wasn’t really clear when my room was getting cleaned and when they did the didn’t empty the trash bins. I’m quite anxious so it’s not easy for me to ask for things, I would have preferred if some things were written out clearly. Like, what to do when the test fire alarm goes off, and whether or not I could ask for things like washing detergent or dishwasher’s soap. There also wasn’t a toilet brush, which was inconvenient. They might have provided one if I had asked, but I don’t know.

Very good location for key attractions, restaurants/bars and everything else you are likely to want on a visit. Friendly and helpful staff. Main area has seating, food and drinks available. The rooms were great: even the Studio Apartment was spacious, clean, modern, comfortable and well equipped (including the bathroom). We stayed for three nights but, with the kitchen and other in-room facilities, could easily have stayed for longer. I would definitely stay at Native again when in Edinburgh. My '8' rating is a very high 8!

The payment on arrival option is now rather long winded and awkward (you have to pay via a link). This is very minor, all things considered, but might be something for management to review going forward just for ease for guests and staff. That said, it would in no way stop me staying here again.

Excellent location for amazing restaurants and shops in Stockbridge. Much preferred being on this side of town - it felt less touristy and more like you were living like a local. Kitchen is really well equipped. Staff very friendly and we were able to check in early which was brilliant.

Breakfast menu wasn’t great and there weren’t enough staff on during that period which meant a long wait. I definitely wouldn’t opt to have breakfast included and rather eat in your room.

We were a large group on a family trip booking 6 rooms. Room was clean, spacious and had good amenities (kitchenette, cookware, utensils and washer dryer) with comfy beds. Dishwashing soap, sponges and detergent were supplied. Cozy lounge. Great location within walking distance to many restaurants and grocery stores.

Front desk staff was great except for Isabella who was in fact rude and unaccommodating since checking in. We also witnessed her fighting with other guests. Dining in room was a bit tricky. More housecleaning options (per extra fee) would be nice.

I got a one bedroom apartment on the ground floor. The room itself is huge, a true one bedroom with a separate bedroom and living room area. It felt like a home it was very comfy. The bed and pillows and quilt were soooo comfy, would’ve slept great if the temperature was easier to control. I liked that the tv had Netflix, the kitchen& washing machine were very handy. Having a wardrobe and a safe was nice. Huge windows although overlooking the inner courtyard. Very quiet inside the apartment. Loved the huge working desk and comfy chair! Very clean and well maintained.

The location looked ideal on a map but in reality the hotel is at the bottom of a steep hill. If you wanted to go to old town or just to Tesco be prepared to walk at least 10 mins uphill. I didn’t really like the location tbh, wasn’t close to the train station either but I knew that before booking so my fault. More hooks for clothes would’ve been nice in the entry area. Would’ve liked if the windows can be opened a little bit. The temperature was quite hard to control. The bedroom took a while to heat up or cool down, I was either too hot or too cold.

Nice one bedroom apartment. Has all the necessary amenities in the kitchen. Has plenty of space although no real good solution for eating a meal. Washing machine and dryer were nice to have on a long trip. Quiet, comfortable bed. No way to block the sun in the living room so closed the door to that room overnight. Staff was excellent. Lots of good food nearby and a short walk to all that Edinburgh has to offer.

Roll out table under desk I guess is to be used for meals with the fold up chair in the closet and the rolling chair. Didn’t care for this solution.
