Excellent room and quality bed. Very quiet room. Simple breakfast in a bag was adequate. There for the Fringe and the central location was excellent. Staff very helpful.

No room cleaning/service included so you have to pay extra for this. When you pay 2K GBP for 7 nights in a studio (Fringe period so I understand accommodation is expensive), I think its pretty petty not to include this, even if its just 2-3 times.

The location of Native was great - Queen Street is relatively quiet (we were on first floor and didn't hear any traffic noise), but it's still really near the shops and restaurants of George St and Princes St for the gardens and the castle. The staff were very friendly and happy to chat about local attractions. I normally travel with or request extra pillows, which the Native team were happy to provide, although I really didn't need them as the pillows we had in our room were super thick! The room, kitchen area and bathroom were spotless. (I have seen previous reviews mentioning no parking or the rooms not being turned over each day - firstly, Edinburgh is an old city - the hotel is in the Georgian 'New Town' - and was never made to accommodate parking, so visitors with cars will need to consider where the nearest parking is beforehand and shouldn't blame the hotel. Secondly, to reviewers complaining about having the rooms turned over - it's an apart/hotel!! the reason people stay here is to have a degree of privacy and being self sufficient whilst being in the centre of a city - if you're the type who *needs* new towels and someone coming in to clean up after you each day - book a traditional hotel! 🙄)

I think there may have been some confusion re. our check out time - we were advised upon check in that this could be flexible, I think as we were staying for 4 nights - later in the stay, when I asked if we could have 12pm check out, I was charged £10, but upon checkout was told our checkout time was already 2pm No biggie - it didn't ruin the stay, but it's work checking!

Helpful staff, nice furnishings and atmosphere. very comfy pillows and nice to have a smart TV. Excellent location & nice period property.

Only had one large towel (we were a couple), no freezer for ice cream I bought at the shop, there was a wrapper and can of deodorant left in the room from previous guests and the walls were quite thin - so we heard people from the corridor and other rooms which made it feel less private.

great location! lovely facilities, nice big room with nice decor and comfy bed. Surprisingly quiet too so got a very good nights rest.

housekeeping was a little sloppy - shower soap was missing (although quickly remedied when I enquired) and bin was left out without a bag. Would have appreciated staff explaining the laundry room and milk dispenser (which is in the laundry room) upon arrival too - or a welcome card in the room with that info would have been fine.

Apartment had everything we needed for a short break and really comfortable to return to after a day exploring the city. A short walk to bars, restaurants and old town attractions but far enough away to be very quiet. Staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. Luggage can be stored for early arrival or for a bit of extra time in the city after checkout.

Really spacious and clean room. We were surprised, by how big the room actually was Very nice and friendly staff. We could leave our luggage after checkout without additional payment. The hotel was quiet no one disturbed our sleep. The heating was working perfectly, towels were changed frequently. The hotel is suitable for people with disabilities. Location is god ~15min walk from the castle and old town. If we will travel to Edinburgh again we will consider this hotel as a place to stay.

Just small things for improvement: * It would be useful to find a sponge and some dish soap in the room. I know that dishwasher is available in the room, but to start a dishwasher for 2 mugs seems strange to us, so we kept dirty dishes for several days, to make the dishwasher more full. * Shower curtain would be nice. I understand that it is made for people with disabilities to be more comfortable, but water splashes everywhere in bathroom. * Something with bedsheets and my skin went wrong. Maybe it's a washing product used by the hotel or something else, but my skin was rashed after a sleep in a hotel bed and the rash was expanding every day. This rash disappeared after I came back home.

Room was well equipped for my husband and my son to stay over for one night for his graduation. The staff had made up a single bed in living room.

The breakfast was very disappointing for the price we paid for one night - to be honest it almost wasn't worth giving us our bag of breakfast as none of it was very good quality or what we wanted so probably would be best to sell room as breakfast not included really then we would have bought our own to make in the well equipped apartment.

We liked the rooms, which are like small suites, with a bedroom and a sitting area with a desk and a sofa. There was also a tiny kitchen and even a washer/dryer. So, although the rooms were small, they were very well equipped!

We decided to wash some clothes since we had a washer, but there was no soap. If they are going to provide a washer for hotel guests, there really should be one or two small packages of soap available. Second, the dryer did not work. We had to have dry clothes because we were leaving the next day. On the positive side, two staff members came to help immediately and they took our clothes to an empty room to dry.

I've stayed in this hotel several times and the staff is always cheerful and helpful. There have been some changes to housekeeping, but it was still quite adequate and supplies available on request between full cleanings.

The only minor inconvenience was due to the strong sunlight in the sitting room because there were no blackout curtains to block out the afternoon and evening sun in my particular room. It was difficult to find a place to work on a computer screen or see the television screen. The bedroom had the curtains, so sleeping was not affected

I had a luxurious overnight stay in a one bed apartment on the fourth floor. The apartment was large, with a well stocked kitchenette with access to a fridge, dishwasher, microwave. Tea and coffee was supplied. There were large flat screen TV's in the lounge area and bedroom. Large bedroom with super comfy bed with marshmallow pillows. A modern huge walk in shower with powershower heads. A delicious take out breakfast was also provided when I checked out. Great central location with a short walk to Princes Street. A lovely hotel would definitely stay again. Highly recommended.
