Absolutely loved our stay from the moment we entered the hotel to the check in, Lady on reception was so nice and very helpful guiding us to the best spots in the city. We were very early to the hotel and our room was not ready but out check in was seamless they kept our bags safe, called us when the room was ready and when we came back to the hotel our bags were already in the room. It was my wife's birthday so they gave us free drinks on arrival which was a lovely touch. The room was huge and had everything you needed. We had dinner in the hotel on the first night and it did not disappoint the whole vibe around the hotel is relaxed.

struggling to write something here as we loved everything, maybe the only thing was there was no slippers in the room like what was advertised they had run out but apart from that nothing.

The bed was a good size and comfortable, shower was fab and also spacious along with the room lovely breakfast and cocktails were great too Staff were also very attentive and laid back and the common areas were lovely areas to relax in the open fire was also a great focal point.

The aircon in the room let it down a little as quiet noisy there was no way to switch it off but under stand its an older building and not staffs fault And the common Area toilets were all disgusting my daughter went to use them before leaving hotel and decided against using them as there was faeces in every toilet don't know if this was a flushing problem but had left the premises when she told me and had to go elsewhere if I had known I would have said to staff before leaving so maybe staff checking them more regularly is a good idea

Listen, it doesn't get better. Period. My wife and I came here for our 25th wedding anniversary and they were all over-and-above amazing. The staff of the hotel and the restaurant were all impeccable. The room (the Georgian Suite) was jaw dropping and well worth it. The location...perfect. Close to everything. The restaurant was superb. The food, was extremely good, VERY fresh. The service, wow. The chef knows what he is doing more than anyone in Edinburgh. The vibe is young, hip, and trendy. We ate breakfast, lunch, tea, and dinner there, all were perfect. Simply perfect. Can't recommend enough.

Not a thing.

We always choose Tigerlily when we visit Edinburgh. Staff are always very welcoming and friendly. We also got upgraded to a suite which was a lovely surprise. It was one of the suites we have not booked before and would definitely book again.

There was a mix up with what we was charged for breakfast as we didn’t book the breakfast through booking.com and thought we could just decide on the morning if we had the time to stay for breakfast. We did not get a breakfast rate for being a resident and was quite pricey. I emailed the hotel and Megan on reception resolved this for us and refunded us on the extras we was charged giving us the resident breakfast price and apologised for any mix up. This would not put me off though as how Megan resolved this quickly and was just a mixup. Possibly because it wasn’t booked directly with hotel.

Location good. Welcome great! Breakfast great but service slow. There was one fantastic waitress but we never had her, however, she responded and resolved delays by her colleagues. Cinnamon french toast with added mixed berries great. Include the berries on this menu item. 2 other people stated what I had looked great and ordered the same. Enjoyed the bar. A bar bite mix up occurred. A manager made great recovery. Music seemed to be 70s disco primarily. I loved the music but 3 days in a row was a bit much. Craig with Riva travel was a real perk with airport pick up and drop off.

Breakfast had slow service. For the overall hotel price paid, expected better service.

Staff greeted us at the door. Very attentive and welcoming. We were early so our bags were taken to our room whilst it was being prepared. We received a call when we could check in. The hotel was stunning , the room was fabulous. Excellent well stocked mini bar if we had wanted to use it. The beds were large and comfortable. The bathroom had everything well stocked. The shower was the biggest I’ve ever seen. All in all a fabulous stay. George street is lovely with lots of nice places to eat. I’ll be back again with my husband in tow

We were upgraded to a suite which was a nice welcome gift! The hotel is strategically located and is greatly complimented by a restaurant and a couple of cocktail bars that have amazing cocktails and are being run by polite and professional staff. Breakfast was a la carte, which adds a personalised tone away from the typical buffet. Same is true for the lunch and dinner options which is a balanced blend of local and international choices. It is great to have so many options for food and drink in the hotel you are staying! We are regulars in EDI but first time stayed there, so we now have a safe option to choose!

The common toilets could have benefited for some regular cleaning and preventive maintenance throughout the day. A minor point for improvement.

I don't know where to begin. We travelled at 2 fiends , me , more mature and my friend in her thirties, so covering the perspective fom two age groups. Tiger Lily is in an excellent location, a few minute walk from the Dome and a few minutes more to Princess St and the Shopping centre. Everything about Tiger Lily is fabulous, beautiful decor, exceptional food, clean, spacious, well equipped rooms complete with minibar and coffee machine. However, the feather in the cap above all else has to be the staff. Each and every one without exemtion were phenomenal, Going out of their way to make sure your stay is a perfect experience and everyone so friendly. I have stayed in many paces with good staff, but the staff here are on another level. I had been to tiger lily previously only for food and drinks and decided to come back and stay. Excellent in every way

There are very few things to dislike . If I had to pick one is that as I am disabled. and has a bit difficult getting up and down the entrance steps as there is no handrail so had to rely on my friend to help me up and down. Didn't spoil my stay though

From the minute we arrived till the time we left, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The choice of breakfasts was also great-it wasnt an either /or choice but rather decide what you wanted. When we needed a taxi or directions, the receptionist went out of her way and also when we needed to store our bags. The only thing we struggled with was how to turn the tap off in our bathroom and the lights-they were all beautifully designed but it would have been useful to have a crib sheet to say that to turn the tap off it needs to be in the centre. it took us a while to figure that out.

Great reception staff, wonderful hospitality staff (except one), really beautiful hotel and great location. Loved the thought behind a lot of the touches - robes, straightener etc.

There were maintenance problems with the room. The hand basin was blocked and wouldn’t drain at all, plus the tap dripped. The curtains fell down. The breakfast was included in our package and was lovely the first morning - wonderful lady. Not so great the second morning as different lady.
