Room was spacious, great location

The carpet in my room hadn’t been vacuumed, it needed a good clean with food particles ingrained in it. For the price of the hotel room I would expect a high standard of cleanliness. I had to ask for more toilet paper and tissues. When I moved the tissue cover there was so much dust .

The breakfast is excellent, with something for everyone. The hotel is situated right in the centre of town in the thick of the action. Restaurants, bars, shops right on your door step. The staff were good-humoured, incredibly helpful and really added to our stay. Cozy, well-appointed room that was spotlessly clean.

Radisson Blu in Edinburgh boasts an exceptional location right in the heart of the city, making it incredibly convenient to access all major landmarks and attractions. The prices are very reasonable, especially compared to other hotels in the area, offering excellent value for the services and location. The cleanliness was outstanding; the rooms and facilities were well-maintained and spotless. As for the service, it was truly remarkable. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful, going out of their way to add an extra bed for me with genuine kindness and flexibility. It’s worth noting that room sizes in Europe tend to be small, so I opted for a Premium room for a bit more space, and there was a good offer available for this room type. I didn’t try the restaurant or breakfast due to the wide variety of dining options nearby. Another great feature was the complimentary late checkout until 1 PM, which added convenience to my schedule. In short, my experience at Radisson Blu was fantastic, especially considering the price, location, and quality of service. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a top-notch stay in Edinburgh.

Nothing.

Hotel was beautifully decorated for the season. When we arrived a few others were there at the same time checking in but all staff pulled together to get us through as quick as possible.

I thought a few more teabags would have been good. We did ask for more and although we were staying two more days they brought up one each which I thought was very stingy. My towel had many holes in it. If it was at my house it would have been in the clean up dog mess section. It looked like bleach may have been spilt on it and was not what I would expect at any accommodation - still dried me though.

Location couldn’t be better- welcome retreat from bustle of Royal Mile. Breakfast really good- plenty of variety. Good service Reception great - requested robes and slippers and by the time entered room, someone was there with them. All very seamless. Lifts easy Had room on 5th floor overlooking Arthur’s Seat - no noise issues at all - heavenly private and not overlooked- loved the variety of subdued lighting too. Room well appointed. Spa on -1 lift takes you there easily. Pool not large but clean with floats if just need to relax weary feet at the end of the day.

Fijian rugby team were there which would be fine apart from the way that they turned the spa into quite a raucous place one evening- which was a shame as we had enjoyed it til then. The bar/ lounge area had quite dim lighting- felt a little cold- think a lot of low level table lampshades and removal of overhead lighting would help.

It's central location is why you stay here. It is a higher end hotel.

As central it is the price is hard to justify for some reason at least for me. Phone didn't work during the stay. Room service is good but again price and expectation doesn't marry up well in my mind. Wanted two beds and thought that was what I ordered. Ambiguity and my own laziness meant i ended up sharing a bed with my father. Check in person should have been explicit with the details and booking dot com should also have rooms better defined. Other issue was the generic TV froze all the time when trying to select channels. All little issues add up to questioning going to a cheaper hotel and getting a taxi to the local sites.

The suite was huge, so pretty, massive comfortable bed, very clean and organised, was perfect for what we needed. Cot for the baby was great (sometimes they can be cheap and flimsy) so was lovely to have something wooden and sturdy for her. I got ready for my wedding in the room there was five of us plus hair and makeup team, lots of room. The staff were awesome and accommodating, we lost our parking ticket they helped us out. We had a lot of people congregating the day before the wedding to get to know each other and basically rearranged the lounge when they were already busy with the rugby crowd. So huge thank you helped make our weekend the best.

location is fantastic for being so central to everything however some sort of commotion on the street outside woke us all up at 4am on the morning of our wedding. not great but couldn't be helped by the hotel it's just the downside of being right next to all the bars etc so something for folk to keep in mind.

This hotel is strategically placed on the upper reaches of the Royal Mile and is ideal for exploring the Castle and the Old Town. Be aware the whole area is a tourist hot spot and very crowded. While in an historic old building, inside it operates like any corporate hotel chain. We chose it for the location and the fact that it had integral parking. There are a huge number of eateries nearby, so we chose to get breakfast outside the hotel.

The location is great but it is a double-edged sword, it attracts the tour parties and as an international, well-known hotel brand attracts our American cousins in large numbers, so it can be very crowded and noisy. But let's face it you don't visit this part of Edinburgh for peace and tranquillity.

Proximity to the Royal Mile which brings us closer to amenities, food and shopping. At this time of the year, we are close to the Christmas market too. Good breakfast spread

Received an email about room with a view and late checkout option. Activate the room with a view but the room comes with small windows so not much of a view. I wanted to activate the option for late check but was told at the desk I could not. Think they have a quota on this which is strange. Would feel better if the option was not made available to me in the first place. Put me in an awkward position.

Lovely room, fantastic size and all the amenities were perfect. The extras in the room were a nice touch (vanity set in bathroom, shaving kit, hot chocolate etc) which we thoroughly enjoyed use of. The pool was lovely and relaxing and great that it was included in our stay. Friendly staff and ideal location too. we parked in the car park and the price exceeded our expectations. We were very happy when we got the pricing for the car park.

Would’ve been nice to have dressing gowns and slippers already in room as we felt bad phoning down and asking. We paid extra to check in which was a bit annoying as didn’t get use of it due to traffic so only really checked in 1 hour 30 before 3pm check in and was still charged the full £90 for early check in, seems a bit expensive. We didn’t like the duvet also, was hard and annoying to sleep with
