The location was ideal for the reasons of my visit to the area, great location to be able to walk to some of Elys fantastic iconic buildings and sites. The staff were well mannered polite and super helpful. The room itself was gorgeous lovely high ceilings great big windows to be able to look out at the views, great furnishings and the bath in the room was amazing, great big deep copper Bateau. Great stay.

It would have been nice to have some additional toiletries in the room, especially for use with the bathtub, maybe just some nice bath soak, a little bath bomb or something like that.

The location is excellent and the grounds are very nice and welcoming especially with the beautiful weather during my stay. I didn’t get to use any facilities but judging by the amount of customers - it must be good. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. the staff were all super friendly and helpful - a credit to the hotel

Its a shame about lack of onsite parking but this is a minor inconvenience that is outweighed by the quality of the grounds.

The overall room was great - the copper bath was a great touch to the room, the staff were great and nothing was ever to much. We opted to have breakfast in the room and it was great, the staff were very professional and they were within the time was asked for.

The mattress and pillows could have been slightly more comfortable, the pillows could do with be replaced or have extra in the wardrobes as they were flat and the mattress while comfortable you could feel some of the springs, however these slight issues wouldn't stop me returning.

Excellent location, large and clean room, very good restaurant and bar area.

In the room there was no facility to unpack clothes, other than limited hanging space. When on a longer trip, this was very limiting. A simple chest of drawers would suffice. The front rooms face onto a pedestrian street crossing that beeps with every pressing. The hotel cannot do anything about this, but be wary if such a distraction would be concerning.

Breakfast was very good. Fresh and tasty. Not sure about 'timed breakfast' as there was hardly anyone around.

Strange workings of the heating system/aircon. It was located next to the bed and worked intermittently waking us up every now and then. Two large mirrors in one room is a bit of an overkill. A comfortable armchair instead of a cheval mirror in the corner would have been better. At dinner an 8oz steak appeared tiny and less than 1/2inch thick and at £35 was less than welcome.

Stunning inner courtyard with al fresco dining, that’s also great for a drink and read. Beautifully appointed rooms with good air conditioning, great shower and plenty of space. Staff are very friendly, attentive and helpful. The whole place feels classy and relaxed. Few minutes stroll to Ely Cathedral which you can see from the hotel dining room. The hotel kindly stored our bikes inside in a safe place. Highly recommended. Arrive early and leave late to soak up the atmosphere.

Dinner was ok - we asked months in advance if the Chef could do some vegan tasting plates and experiment a little but the hotel said that’s not possible which made us wonder about the Chef - what Chef doesn’t want to try out some new dishes on willing volunteers!? If you like edgier and more exciting flavours and textures then maybe pop out into Ely.

Room was exceptionally clean, everything looked and felt brand new, boutique furniture with old world features like the fireplace and painting, of course the Copper Bath is the main attraction and a separate ensuite with waterfall shower. Lovely toiletries and bath towels, bath robe. Air conditioning was spot on. Tea & coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. Smart TV and comfy bed. Plenty of plugs. Good lighting. View from the windows were great. Breakfast was delicious and expedient.

Parking instructions prior to arrival would be nice. I was a little worried my luggage was left in the open by reception and not secured storage before check in hours later. Clearer directions to room, I was in the building opposite but went round the back by mistake because I wasn't shown where to go. Staff are polite but very young and could do with just a little more friendliness training e.g., how was your stay with us, anything you need please don't hesitate to call reception etc.

Superbly comfortable bed which i was reluctant to leave after a peaceful night. The huge copper bath filled quickly with gallons of hot water and was the deepest, hottest most indulgent bath I've had in ages complemented by lovely bath products. Dinner was fabulous, imaginative seasonal dishes beautifully presented. All staff were very attentive but not overbearing.

The palette is very grey, a spot more colour would brighten it up.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The view from the room was lovely. The shower was good although could have been a bit more powerful. The bed was very comfortable. You can walk to all the main attractions; Oliver Cromwell's house, the cathedral and down to the river.

There was a pelican crossing just in front of the hotel and the noise was a little annoying, mainly because the area is so peaceful. The bath was almost the size of a swimming pool, not tempting at all. It was quite expensive but you get what you pay for!

A the staff who we interacted with were exceptional, our room was lovely with a great view to wake up to and breakfast was delicious. Even the car park was well thought out. Not a cheap stay but very good value for money

Can't think of anything except perhaps the lighting over the bathroom mirror when my partner had a shave!!
