The staff were absolutely lovely; friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble which really made our stay extra special. Breakfast was really good with a great veggie option. From the pictures I was expecting a quiet country hotel - this is not it! It is in the middle of the town (although it gets very quiet between approx 1130pm-430am) with no gardens but actually the location suited us perfectly. The rooms were ok - in ours the bathroom door didn't close properly and one of the other rooms was tiny but they were all clean and nicely attended. The bed was very comfortable. It was super hot (not the hotels fault) and there is no air con but each room had a fan which was much appreciated. Overall it was a great visit and I would stay again
Music from the hotel bar (directly beneath room 1) was very loud but it stops about 11pm. Parking was a bit of an issue as it's not just for staying guests so a couple of times we had trouble but where they could the staff were really helpful. One of the rooms was very small and the shower cubicles are tiny.

Really warm and friendly welcome from Tom, the proprietor, and nothing was too much trouble, even on Christmas Day. My room was lovely - it had been newly-decorated and was really spacious, with a window that looked out over the street and the Chatteris Christmas lights. Breakfast was hot and plentiful, with many options. The TV also had many options, including Netflix, which was a real bonus as I don't have it at home (at least I didn't!). An ideal place to stay when visiting elderly parents in the town - I'll be back next Christmas if not before!

I wanted to stay somewhere close to where my appointment was the following day and saw this lovely hotel online. From arrival to departure nothing was too much trouble, I got an upgrade due to some building works the following morning so even better for me. The room was really clean and well appointed, the bed was comfy and pillows a plenty. Breakfast was gorgeous - cooked to order and plentiful with a good choice of items to suit most - I left happy with my stay and would stay again if in the area.
All good, no complaints.

A charming building with lots of character. Very quiet considering it’s in the middle of Chatteris. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. A lovely breakfast with lots of choice. I had a single room which was compact and very clean. The en-suite was a good size and the shower was nice and hot. (I had a peak at the double rooms and they looked lovely).
Very little!… The mattress was a little hard for my liking but I’m sure that suits some people. The shower head position was a little frustrating because it wouldn’t / couldn’t spray directly down.

It was a lovely place to stay, very homely, clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Location was great, close to village centre which is what we wanted. We have stayed here before and we will definitely be staying there again.

Owner/s and staff met were very welcoming and happy to stay and chat or leave you alone which every, were not pushy but informative. Breakfast we had full English or as in my case selected items, they were happy to mix it up, all was very high quality and delivered to table very hot. Options of egg based available but not tried by us.
Unfortunately they have had to stop doing evening meals, but when we arrived Sunday they were well through a Sunday lunch and were full of non residents which would suggest it is good. So if wanting it book ahead of your arrival. As a small town options are minimal for evening meals, not too much a problem as options available within 20 minutes drive.

Great location, very very clean, loved I could open the window, important to me, parking very convenient, met the owner he and the staff brilliant, didn't have breakfast but food looked good, enjoyed the bar area in the evening
Heating was slightly intermittent, to many unnecessary cushions on the bed, I don't believe they are ever needed, don't understand that one, mattress a little to soft for me, but I slept, love the outside chalet rooms

The location was perfect for what we needed - centrally located within walking distance of a range of restaurants etc. Beautifully decorated and with welcoming staff, it was an unexpected gem!
The only thing I found annoying was the fact that it was on a relatively noisy road, which made it hard to sleep. With the windows shut it was fine but during August’s heatwave that wasn’t always possible. I’d suggest the inclusion of an electric fan in each room in the summer!

Tom, the owner, is very accommodating. All staff are friendly and welcoming. Bramley house is well kept, very clean and rooms are really comfortable. Breakfast is exceptional, a good variety on the menu. Would recommend this hotel and would gladly stay again on my next visit to chatteris.
Nothing to dislike. Enjoyed our stay

We all had a great stay, there was a lot of attention to detail and the breakfasts were perfect on both days for all concerned, including gluten free and vegan. We were offered the use of the dining room and facilities if we wished to get a takeaway as they did not offer an evening meal.
There seemed to be a problem with the heating as there was a lot of motorised noise coming from the radiators in all of our rooms and it was very regular. I didn't get chance to mention this to the owners. The showers could do with being modernised.
