The location was perfect for us, as we needed to be close to Glasgow Central train station & Yotel is basically across the street. We wouldn't normally choose a modern hotel, as we love the old, traditional style, but this was a pleasant surprise. The staff at check-in were great & it was really quick & easy to grab our key cards & get to our room. The room had cool features, like a bed that slides up into a "couch", LED lighting with color-change options behind the TV & all the room & hotel info on the TV menu. The bathroom had a separate shower & toilet within the bath area & the bathroom mirror had adjustable lighting. The windows had 2 sets of blinds that either allowed filtered light for privacy, darkening, or open-to-the-public ;) Breakfast was on an upper floor, so there were pretty good views of the city. It was buffet-style & had all the usual Scottish breakfast staples. This was adjacent to their bowling alley, which we didn't get to enjoy, but was pretty cool. All in all, a great stay.

The room was pretty dark, despite the cool lighting. I think one of the overhead bulbs was burned out, but I don't know that it would've added much more light as it was right by the door. The shower stall has no way to hang a towel, so when you get out, you have to cross the floor to the closet where the hooks are, so that was weird. Also- no kettle or coffee maker in the room, which is a bummer if you want a cuppa outside of breakfast hours.

My go to hotel for every stay no matter what city. So clean and modern with lovely helpful staff

Only thing that disappointed me again, (exact same thing as last time i stayed here) was that after paying £15 to extend my check out time from 11am to 1pm, housekeeping were not informed and woke me up around 11:30am by banging on the door (by the time i got up and to the door they had already opened it)

The YOTEL Glasgow is situated in the heart of the city, just a stone's throw away from Central Station. This was my first stay here and I was extremely impressed by this hotel. Reception staff were so courteous and helpful on arrival. Check-in was hassle free and for the first time in years, I was given a free room upgrade - usually this comes at a price! The room itself was very well appointed with an incredible view of Glasgow's iconic Hielanman's Umbrella. The large double bed was so comfortable too. Great shower in the rather quirky shower room as well. Excellent experience overall - highly recommended!

Nothing to complain about at YOTEL Glasgow.

The location of the hotel was right outside of Glasgow Central Station (if you take the correct exit), making it a breeze to travel about when you need to. In addition, it was conveniently situated within 10-30 mins walk to hot spots in the East and West End of Glasgow. The hotel condition was relatively well kept and well maintained with staffs at the reception that were helpful and friendly. One can notice that the hotel theme is somewhat of a futuristic disco space travel as evident from the light show in the lift and also my room. While it may not be to everyone's liking, it was fine for me. The breakfast buffet spread probably won't win any award, but it was decent nonetheless. A shout out to the friendly kitchen cook who who always stirs up little conversations when I walk past. My room condition was not large and I felt that it can be a squeeze for 2 adults with 2 luggages. Having said that, It's just right if you're a solo traveler. The water heater worked fine and the water pressure was decent although it could be improved. Room cleanliness was overall good.

The room I got was at the very end of the floor so a bit of walking was required from the lift. This isn't a deal breaker but just be aware of the floor layout and room location. The room could be larger but should not be a problem for a single traveler. The water pressure was okay but can be improved and the room can be brighter.

I was expecting a very small room as per the picture on Booking.com, however I was given a very large room that was adapted for a handicapped person in a wheelchair. This was fine with me because I enjoyed the space. It did not matter to me that the sink was very low. However, my cousin was given a similar room and she found it extremely uncomfortable. The hotel was not able to give her a different room because all standard non adapted rooms were full. After her first 2 nights, the hot water in her room stopped working and she was moved to a standard room which she was happy with. Yotel is a quirky hotel modelled on the Japanese capsule hotels. It is on the utilitarian side and not to everyone's taste. Most rooms are very small but completely functional. A serious drawback for me was the fact that you can not make coffee or tea in your room and the small refrigerator is really only a cooler ( you can get ice from the upstairs bar ). Complimentary coffee and tea is available from the restaurant/bar but only when breakfast is being served. Outside of breakfast hours you can purchase tea and coffee from the bar if it is open. I always have my own teabags and instant coffee so I asked for hot water and was given it for free. Just had to drink my tea and coffee without milk. All the staff were very friendly. Yotel is largely for business travellers and a younger crowd. However, I am a senior and found it fine for the most part. The fact that I got a good deal on my room made a big difference for me. If I had been paying more I would not have been happy. I have read reviews saying that if you book with a third party you are more likely to get a handicapped adapted room. I have no idea if this is true. If you book with a third party, I would advise communicating directly with Yotel to confirm your type of room at least a week before your arrival. A few things about breakfast which is served in the top floor restaurant/bar.

Lack of ability to make tea and coffee in your room and the fact that your fridge is really only a cooler. Inability to order a small breakfast. The lighting system is very quirky but I worked with it. Really hard to explain but the gist of it is that if you stop moving such as when you are reading in bed, the lights turn off automatically. Basically a really dumb smart system.

Great central location 2 seconds outside of train station. Friendly staff, can’t comment on the facilities in the hotel I.e the 7th floor bar and bowling as we simply booked for a night without the kids and listening to mum/dad on repeat, so once we got inside the room we didn’t leave until checkout. Rooms were clean with great size bed and great shower. I love that the tv had chrome cast available as nothing worse when having a chilled night with council tv.

I was overall very happy with my stay but if I had to pick a fault, I didn’t really like the room layout with the bed being right beside the door but other than that can’t complain and definitely plan on returning

Lovely and modern hotel and facilities were beautiful and immaculate

On floor 2 there was a rather large stain in the carpet where someone had clearly been sick and there still was a bit of sick there also the upstairs only being 18 and over past 8pm, for me saying my partner is 18 and I am 17 felt a bit unfair as we didn’t arrive till late and we couldn’t have a game of bowling. Also when we first walked in two male members of staff just sat there didn’t bother to speak or help us check in until a female working came over.

We had a 4 night stay at Yotel Glasgow. The hotel is within 50 yards/ metres of Glasgow Central railway station. Our room was on the 5th floor and away from the lift/ elevator. The height and sound proofing of the room meant that we had little to no street noise and barely any from the nightclub/ bar on the 7th floor. The breakfast was excellent with a terrific selection (including haggis!) and plenty on offer. As we were visiting Glasgow for the athletics, this was really our main catered option and it was very much appreciated. For me, the highlight of the hotel is the 'Disco Lift' - an elevator that is used primarily to take people directly to the 7th floor. You should ride up in it at least once and I hope you love it as much as I did!

Bedroom size was superb, full length windows across the full room allows for loads of natural light and a cracker view at sunset/sunrise. Nice compact living area. Enormous bathroom with two sinks for couples areas as well as a huge shower room with a fantastic waterfall shower. A nice touch is the door leading to the room, giving you a level of privacy from other rooms. No sound whatsoever coming from vega upstairs which is nice. The bedroom is a reasonable distance from the bed enough to keep it comfortable to watch and doesn't hurt your eyes which I feel the normal rooms do. The bedroom next to the toilet is a good room design overall.

The TV in the living room didn't connect to Chromecast. The led light for the bedroom TV is in the entrance hallway - bit odd. Not a lot of hanging space for clothes with only two hangers. Plug sockets for a hairdryer nowhere near a full length mirror or a mirror at all - so having to plug into the side of the bed and use the mirror in the bathroom is a tad inconvenient.

Arrived 32st December 2024 loved the easy check in was on 5th floor room 553 disabled room room was very big electric bed was lovely brilliant hot rainfloor shower loved the blackout blinds and the light behind tv restaurant on 7th floor was great loved the lift that had flashing disco lights and music across the road to Glasgow Central train station

Long walk to my room as I got out of lift view from my window was at the back of hotel sink was very small no plug in it no kettle for tea or coffee breakfast could of been better no fried egg could of been better to have more hot food
