I liked the fact it wasnt too busy, staff were good. Gym and pool very good. The reason i chose this hotel was for the pool and gym first. Also i’ve been in a lot of hotels this year and the lift here was great, just appears less than 30 seconds after u press it, sounds silly but have been waiting ages in other places, was something small that i liked. Breakfast wasnt bad, not 10/10 food but was good enough and the staff for breakfast were very attentive. Gave us complimentary drinks for my sisters bday, another nice little touch. 10 minutes walk from central station.

Two single beds in the twin room, would have preferred 2 doubles. Also mattress for me was a bit hard but my sister liked her one. No fridge in room, not really a big deal.

We loved the very spacious room, the swimming pool and the gym are also great. But it’s the staff here who really shine. They are always so friendly and helpful. Scott always goes the extra mile to make us happy and comfortable, he and his team are brilliant.

We would have given this hotel a ‘9’ rating if there had been even just a tiny fridge in our room and if the pool had been open all day like it used to be. Scott did eventually help to rearrange the pool times, it’s one of the main reasons we booked a stay at this hotel.

Breakfast was great - good choice, and the bed was really comfortable. Room was very clean and surprisingly quiet (road works outside the window didn't intrude or disturb.) We enjoyed the swimming pool and spa facilities and the gym was great. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Very little really. There was a broken light in the room - but it was speedily sorted. Lack of free parking was a shame (but it is a city centre hotel so it is understandable, and not sure what you can do about it) The temperature of the pool area and changing room were low, and jacuzzi was cold, with one thin towel, so although the facilities were great, it didn't feel that luxurious and didn't encourage you to relax.

Our room was spacious and very quiet despite being near a main road. I loved the black out curtains and we couldn’t see anything. Breakfast was excellent and had everything one would expect. Staff were welcoming and attentive.

I genuinely couldn’t fault the place. It far exceeded what I expected for the price I paid. My only slight disappointment came when I asked for a little kitchen foil from the kitchen to wrap some pizza in from the previous evening. The waitress was amazing but had to apologise on behalf of the chef who refused my request. My partner and I were surprised and taken back at such a small thing. I didn’t pursue the matter but it did end our lovely stay on a little negative. Perhaps someone could remind the chef that it’s the small things that make a big difference.

lovely ,'old fashioned style' room ,bed so comfortable ,lovely hot shower/bath ,nice windows [could actually open for fresh air!] Loved the picture on the wall of sheep in their pasture ...peaceful .

I was sooo disappointed that the pool had such limited hours .As I was at a conference ,I was looking forward to a swim either early morning [possibly!] or later in evening on return ...Did I miss some info on Booking.com ?.That was the main reason I booked the Argyle .So ,although it is a lovely hotel ,and I would recommend it to anyone ,unless the pool hours were extended ,I probably wouldnt book it again.Sorry ,otherwise ,absolutely lovely !

The treasure of this hotel is their staff. The gym and swimming pool were closed when we checked in so couldn't comment on that. the room was spacious and clean.

I understand the hotel just recently open (2 days when I checked in), there were some teething issue like familiarity with the system, there were no one to meet us at breakfast until few minutes later, and a couple room issues (hot water and a missed spot). but the staff are all very friendly, open and willing to help/ resovle problems, that's the most important things. I'm positive those teething issues should be ironed out when all teams are familiar with their SoP, and look forward to coming back again.

We had a great stay for 3 nights to explore Glasgow and nearby areas. The hotel is 10-15 minutes walk from the city with good links and food options. We used the leisure centre pool and ate their breakfast which was lovely! All staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend for a short stay.

The room we were in was on the 7th floor and it was very warm as all the radiators were left on. There was also a constant humming noise which was a bit disturbing at night. Managed to drown out the noise by keeping the window open a little to hear the traffic instead.

Pleasant hotel with good accommodation and easy pedestrian access to Glasgow Central Station. Not a user of leisure facilities but swimming pool looked inviting and gym facilities available although I did not actually look at that area.

Apart from proximity to the Station, location is not ideal. Situated in what I assume was once part of the old port warehousing area but there appears to have been only limited upgrading hence in parts it appears quite run down and unwelcoming. Also the motorway running so close to this and other large hotels makes pedestrian access to the western part of the City very difficult.

The staff were so lovely, helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable and the value for money was great. Room very spacious, clean and bed very comfortable. Toiletries in room such as shampoo, shower gel, hand wash and lotion, so no need to pack (or if you forget you're covered). Breakfast was tasty, fresh and plentiful. Good choice for us with cooked options/bread/toast/fruit/cereal and pastries (all self serve) but we have no dietary requirements so not sure how this works for others as I paid no attention unfortunately.

Had an issue with our keys twice on check in, so reception came up the 3rd time and their key worked, so they let us in. Give the hotel their dues, they sent some one quickly to sort it and we had no problems after but I had to wait while the rest of the family went into the pool. It was a minor inconvenience after a long drive and was fixed promptly though.

I had a fantastic stay at this accommodation! It's conveniently located just a 12-minute walk from Glasgow Central Station, making travel very easy. There are plenty of supermarkets nearby, so it's simple to buy anything you need. The location is excellent for exploring all of Glasgow's attractions, whether you prefer to walk or take the bus. The front desk also offers luggage storage services, which is a great convenience. The room itself was very spacious, clean, and tidy.

However, there were a few drawbacks. The bathtub faucet is fixed, making it difficult to clean the tub effectively. I used the shower curtain, but it didn't fully prevent water from splashing out, causing the bathroom to get quite wet. The floor drainage in the bathroom wasn't very effective; water would accumulate and remain wet from showering until I left. Additionally, the hairdryer was quite large and cumbersome, and it seemed the windows couldn't be opened for ventilation.
