We loved that the hotel is working on being more exo friendly, they have lots of information in the welcome guide. The food at the hotel was fantastic! The staff were welcoming, easy to talk to, and always explained things well. The pool was lovely, the lane was helpful, and I loved the sauna We enjoyed sitting outside and looking over the beautiful lawns and trees, we even had this view from the hotel room. Staff were extremely helpful when we asked for rooms with lift access.

The steam room was out of order unfortunately The beds were a little too soft for my liking.

The staff at reception and in the bar/restaurant were very friendly and helpful. On arrival just before dinner closing time we were still able to order food which was delicious. The gardens are lovely and beautifully kept. The pool and spa area is kept very nicely and offers all you could ask for.

Out bathroom had a very noisy extractor fan which sometimes worked and other times did not. It would be nice to have a bathrobe for heading down to the pool and spa area from the room. The buffet at breakfast could improve with a better selection of bread, cheese and fruit/vegetables.

In communication with the hotel beforehand I explained I had a bad hip at the moment and they certainly gave us a room and bathroom that were ideally suited to my needs. The breakfast was lovely and all the staff were so helpful. The grounds surrounding the hotel are stunning and there are beautiful views of them from the bedroom windows. We had a good chat with the manager when we got in fairly late the night we were staying, and he was such a nice guy and kept the bar open long enough fo husband to have a drink on his 60th birthday! ( - he had been driving all day…)

The rooms are a bit bland with little character, and could do with a coffee machine.

Received an email night before to ask me to checkin which wasn't a problem at all and saves any long waits at checkin, I've seen reviews where people aren't happy about being asked to checkin online first but I don't see an issue you checkin online for most things these days, On arrival to reception we had a very warm greeting from the 2 lovely ladies on reception and due to myself already checking in we had our keys within a couple of mins, they Informed us in full of all amenities including spa., We stayed in the deluxe king room and it was lovely, decor In line with the gorgeous building, bed was super comfy, price at the bar was very reasonable, we chose to sit on the patio which was lovely and relaxing, We also used all spa facility's which were superb, we will be happy to return soon, thankyou for a lovely Stay Sheena and Derek Westwater

Nothing every thing was great no complaints at all

I like the style of the main building and the lovely garden.

I did not like the reception, it is completely out of style to the main building and it is not nice. It would be much better in the main building. When I chose this place I did so partly because of its historical looks that I saw on!the photos. When we arrived it was an unpleasant surprise to have to ho to that side building to check in. The receptionist lady was very nice though. It was as if I was checking in to a public swimming pool. Not in keeping with the vintage atmosphere at all.

The pool and leisure facilities were great Room 206 overlooking the garden bathroom with bath and shower fantastic offered help with my luggage great 😀

Breakfast was too slow felt overlooked people arrived after me and were served before me I was alone Had to remind the guy I was still waiting on toast I’m a regular in hotels so I didn’t mind being put right in the middle of the busy breakfast room perhaps other solo travelers might prefer a more discreet seating area I couldn’t move to get more juice in fear my plate would be lifted as I was waiting on my toast before I finished my now cold beans

Great value, food was good quality and hotel was clean and well kept. Nice location near Glenrothes which has suoermarkets, McDs etc and other great restaurants. The Lasagne was amazing and recommend you try it. Parking was good with no issues. Rooms were cleaned and update every day and done very well indeed, the lady was very helpful and friendly. The beds were super comfy as well.

The veggie breakfast option was disappointing, would at least expect a veggie sausage and perhaps bacon, other chains are doing that and doing it very well. No haggis offered with the scots breakfast which is offered from other places at a lower cost. The access control is a bit outdated now, its a card system but have to insert card into a pocket each time and didnt always work and we had to try the other card and at times were outside in pouring rain, hands full juggling with cards to try and enter the building with a child and it was also cold outside.

I loved my stay at this hotel. The room was very well priced, and I thoroughly enjoyed the stay. My daughter stays in Glenrothes and I have stayed in a few hotels when I have been down to visit, and this is the most memorable Stay yet and I will definitely be staying again. I don't do breakfast so cannot comment on it but I I am sure it was great quality as the evening meal was.

Nothing the whole stay was fantastic from beginning to the end. This is a hidden gem of a hotel just on the outskirts of Glenrothes. First time I have stayed but would highly recommend it to fellow travelers. The food is excellent and the rooms are of a high standard albeit a bit dated but luxurious.

Lovely hotel, clean, comfortable. Beautiful surroundings. Stunning view, quiet location. Birdsong! The food in the restaurant was exceptional. The bed was very comfortable. Room storage was plentiful.

No information on the pool and gym use offered and were closed by the time I found out (5pm). It would been nice had the staff informed me of the on site restaurant or offered to have booked me a table (which I found out later was a recommendation!) The exceptionally loud karaoke by the other guests in surrounding rooms - which went on until after 1am, wasn't really appreciated.

Location setting was attractive when booking but even better seeing it in person. The pool was a bonus too. Nice to relax after a busy day.

Not the hotels fault but one of the guests had too much to drink and was causing issues to guests and staff, his dog was running around loose. Not appropriate when its a family hotel. I know by the time we had come back from being out for the day i heard he had been told to leave.
