The room was lovely - plenty of room, comfortable. Fantastic view from the balcony. I enjoyed the breakfast - plenty of choice and good service. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The town was only 20/25 mins walk away. The beach access was only 5 mins walk away. There was also a great bus service that came twice an hour and went in either direction along the coast.

Only a couple of minor things. The bed was supposed to be a double but was actually 2 singles put together meaning I had to sleep on either side, but not in the middle. There wasn't a menu with prices on the website or even in the room, which would have been useful to know beforehand, especially for the carvery which I got caught out on with as the price wasn't anywhere, it wasn't until I paid (I could have of course asked before ordering).

Well, the location is great for travels by car. The prices are appropriate. The British style food is quite ok. In general you can feel it's kind of an "economy class" hotel and meals. It is probably fine for accommodating large parties, what I think it also has in its offer.

Well, it's a budget class hotel which tries to go on, so hard to complain on anything. Some attention could have been put to enable water to drain properly from the sink and easier to understand locks in the balcony door. New carpeting would probably help to provide better client experience and eliminate the slight smell of frying oil in the corridor upstairs.

Friendly staff and management team. Room was small but adequate and as described.Indeed, the bed was very comfortable. Had breakfast each morning which was reasonable albeit with limited choice. Kippers were on the menu but they were unavailable each day of our stay. Had evening meal twice out of three nights. Menu was limited but had a few interesting Indian mains, provided by the chef, which were tasty and authentic. Big plus was the staff engaged with us, were easy going but always professional which helped create a very relaxing atmosphere.

Nothing to really dislike, everything was as stated and we would return.

Lovely hotel in a lovely location, with a chirpy chap on reception. We were staying there as attending the Taylor Swift concert at Murrayfield and didn't get back until late and they were very accommodating (no pun intended). So only slept there and didn't really get to experience the hotel and area properly. There wasn't any food available by the time we got there just after 2.30 pm and as we were being picked up by taxi at 3.45 pm to take us to Murrayfield, we were hungry. We had planned to get there earlier but our first train was delayed by 30 minutes which meant we missed our connection to Burntisland. There were no taxis available when we finally got to the station at Burntisland (School run time at 2 pm apparently) as the hotel is about a 30 minute walk away, but on the advice of one of the local taxis firms we walked to the high street and got a bus, we only had to wait about 10 minutes and it stops just outside the hotel. We didn't book breakfast as we wanted to spend a few hours in Edinburgh before we headed home. (Had breakfast at the Edinburgh Larder in Black friars street which highly recommend).I have to say you think this hotel is miles away if you want to visit Edinburgh, but with the bus and train you can be in Edinburgh in about 45 minutes, plus you get to go over the stunning Forth railway bridge, views are amazing.

Just the fact that there is no food/room service after 2.30 Pm

It was central to where we needed to be but it was the staff that made the stay brilliant! They are all so lovely but Dal in particular went the extra mile! He was a taxi service and picked my elderly grandparents up from a family party and made sure they made it back to the hotel safe and sound and he wouldn’t accept any money for it which was so kind! We would definitely stay here again

The only thing I could say is that the room we were staying in needs a bit of renovating, but it was a lovely clean room and couldn’t fault anything else!

Breakfast was lovely and the lady serving was so friendly and helpful. Beds were really comfortable and we were upgraded to a room with a great sea view and balcony. We were a last minute booking (literally), and offered the move because of a Wedding that day. The original room(11) was right above the dance floor. So quite noisy. Loved the little gift shop supplied by local businesses starting out and nothing was too expensive. Grounds were lovely, well presented and maintained.

Bathroom was nice but quite a bit of flaking paint on the ceiling.

Dal's service was exceptional. He was attentive to our needs and always cheerful and informative. It was convenient having the restaurant in the hotel where we had breakfast and dinner. Our meals were all very good. The hotel has a pleasant garden and is in a quiet location yet only a short walk to services in Burntisland, including a train station where you could catch a ride to Edinburgh. Parking is plentiful and free.

Our ensuite bathroom could use a little updating although everything worked fine.

The tall trees restaurant located in the hotel was really nice as we're the staff. The food was really good, we ate in all week which is something we do not really do, we tend to eat out as we have had issues with food not being up to standards in other hotels but this was perfect. We will definitely be back again. The rooms were really nice, clean and spacious the bathroom was nice and clean too... Dal was great, and the staff in the restaurant were top quality, a big shout out to savanna who went above and beyond to make our evenings in the restaurant something to remember

The only thing it could have done with was air conditioning in the rooms as it was really hot... luckily, we could just open the balcony doors 🫠🫠

We liked the homely atmosphere, the staff are the friendliest we’ve ever encountered, very effective and professional. It was like a home from home. The breakfast was served quickly and great. The dinner menu was excellent, the Indian cuisine was 1st class and well presented, the steak has to be mentioned, cooked to perfection. The food was 5 star and more. The Manager was so obliging and easy to approach, but we had no complaints. All was well.

The weather!!! It rained most of the week we were there.Thts our only complaint.

The staff were excellent, they made our stay very enjoyable. The food was good and was able make changes to accommodate my diabetes. They are also disabled friendly with ramps, ground floor room and wheelchair accessible bathroom. They also provided additional heating without being asked for it. Although our room didn't have a view all public rooms had a fantastic view of the sea and surrounding area..

The hotel was a little shabby in places but this did not distract our enjoyment.
