pub with rooms on the village high street, limited parking available to the rear of the hotel was very helpful. Staff were lovely, welcoming and helpful. I sat in the lounge bar, which was busy on a late afternoon, and ate both my evening meal and breakfast in the hotel. I would describe the food as "pub grub plus" but all the courses I ate were good. Standard UK breakfast , with all hot courses prepared freshly, which was good. Yes, I would visit again

the room was as I expected; slightly faded but perfectly acceptable. Good sized bathroom. Comfy bed

Only a short 1 night stay but everything about this hotel was great, beer fresh, main meals delicious (best steak pie so far on road trip), full Scottish Breakfast (inc) was filling. Pam and staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was warm and comfortable, the bed was big but could do with a mattress topper. The bathroom was spotless clean and the water pressure in the shower was hot and hard and just what we needed. A delightful seaside village just outside Edinburgh over the amazingly built Queensferry bridge across the River Forth. Highly recommended for your next adventure to Scotland.

Everything was great, maybe could do with a mattress upgrade but still slept fine.

Situated in a nice village and the hotel was few minutes walk from the train station. The bar was nice and the breakfast filling - the lunchtime/evening food was excellent. Spacious outside drinking area with smoking shelter. Room perfectly adequate for my stay and with a kettle and tea and coffee. In the village there was pub, cafe, newsagent and post office. I would stay here again no question - the staff were lovely and a warm welcome awaits. The other guests were nice and friendly as well - a bonus! A key will let you in if you stay out late - and none of those easily lost card keys.

Nothing really.

Breakfast was fantastic - many options to choose from. Specifically loved the Scottish Breakfast! Loved the dog friendly dining - nice to see furry friends that were well behaved. Small Inn charm, everyone was pleasant that worked there.

The windows in the rooms could use some WD-40 - very loud when cranking open (felt bad for our neighbors). Parking is very limited (had construction out front) - we had to park at the train station (CTT, so that was comfortable) and lug our luggage down the street. Not a big deal for us as the weather was great - but if the weather was not so great my review would probably be different.

The hotel was conveniently located for quick, stress free visits into Edinburgh. Excellent value with breakfast included. The food was well prepared and tasty. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and always happy to answer questions or help. Located in the charming village of Aberdour, it was a perfect place for a relaxing stroll before or after dinner.

The bed was too hard for us but that's personal taste.

Lovley sized room and location to the village amenities, just perfect. The staff couldn't have been any more helpful and the food in the restaurant was also very good. It felt like a very warm and friendly place to be and would highly recommend this for a personal service and feeling at home.

My constructive criticism would go as follows: the room was a little tired and the bathroom (also a little dated) had a couple of areas of mouldy sealant that could easily be replaced.

The location and food were very good. We had an evening meal and breakfast which was great quality and great customer service. Our beds were comfortable and we managed to park in the street overnight.

The room was very cold when we arrived and took a while to warm up. The hotel needs an update in keeping with the age of the hotel. Our bedside tables had wood underneath to keep them level. I understand that the floors are not level however but we had to move one to charge our phones.

Pleasantly modern (including the ensuite bathroom), but quaint in the best sense of the word, the not-the-Marriot vacation for me . The Aberdour Hotel is well-managed with exceptional and personalized service, the staff was friendly and genuine, the pub is patronized by locals and the pub and semi-formal restaurant have a full menu, good food, good prices. From the train station to the Aberdour Hotel is a short walk and can be managed with a large suitcase (my suitcase gets only **). A short walk will also get you to several local attractions. I was very lucky as there was no extra charge for the lovely weather.

Five stars even with the creaky floors. I was traveling solo, this room would be tight for a couple.

A small dinner menu, but everything well cooked and made on the premises. Staff very pleasant and accommodating. Breakfasts good. Rooms clean.

Beer choice limited, no real ale. However this is generally the case in Scotland. The room furniture is dated and the rooms, though clean, are generally somewhat worn. The bar and dining room areas are reasonably comfortable but not luxurious.

The Room was very nice, warm and comfortable. The staff were very friendly attentive and went out of their way to help in every way. Location was great for our break with our dog as the coastal path was right opposite the hotel. Resturant food was very good and sensibly priced. We definitely intend to stay again.

Parking was a bit of a challenge if the courtyard car park was full. There was little parking opportunity in the village.
