Staff were warm and welcoming. The room was good but for a sea view room there was not much of a view. The dinner at the restaurant in the evening was excellent and the spaces in the bars and restaurants were well appointed. There was a beautiful view from the restaurant over the coast.

The room was not particularly clean; it was fine but there were a lot of cobwebs and stains in the bathroom which had been missed. The bedding was clean however. The breakfast was very disappointing especially given how good the dinner had been the night before. The bacon did not taste cooked and the eggs were watery. I was gutted that it didn’t meet the standards of the meal the night before.

The location of the hotel is spectacular. The staff were very helpful, professional but friendly. The position is great for walkers near the Fife coastal path, and for golfers close to a good course.

Meals for our first 2 days were below average, poor really, though there was a change of chef on our third evening and the food noticeably improved. The second chef went out of their way to create something special for the vegans in our group and other meals were really good too.

The staff were very friendly but not intrusive. The room was quiet and comfortable with a beautiful view over the Forth. Traveling alone, they didn't make me seem like an anomaly. Breakfast and dinner service good.

To be fair, eating from the same menu for 2 weeks can get tedious. The food was mostly delicious, with just one or two fails -- the last day, the scrambled eggs were inedible as was the Cullen Skink for dinner, just a salt bomb. But the sea bass and salmon were excellent.

Great location on Fife coast. Hotel looked in good condition and was clean and welcoming. Staff were very helpful and friendly. My room was comfortable and was able to get a decent night's sleep. The wifi - important as I travel on business - worked very well in my room. I had an evening meal in the restaurant and breakfast in the morning, both of which were good.

The bathroom was a little basic, with not much room around the sink to put my wash bag, electric shaver and electric toothbrush.

The room was comfortable with a good size TV. The bathroom was reasonable size and had a good shower. The view from our balcony was very good. The restaurant menu in the hotel was very good and the food was tasty.

There was an issue with the varnish on all of the restaurant tables making the surface tacky. I was unaware of the issue on Saturday night as table cloths were used but only place mats were used Sunday and Monday. The young staff at breakfast seemed to return to the kitchen empty handed every trip, leaving used dishes lying on multiple tables after guests had left.

Hotel in an excellent area. Good size of room. Staff polite. Beautiful view from dining room breakfast good and promptly served. Dinner was well presented tasted excellent and reasonably priced.

Bedroom and ensuite were not heated, radiators didn't work on any setting I found it cold in evening.. Dinner n the dining room also required warm clothing as quite cold in September with all the glass and no heating

Nice big comfortable room with a fantastic view across the golf coarse to the sea. Breakfast and dinner were excellent . Nice quiet location . Very good value for money.

There is very little to complain about at this hotel. However, I would like to point out that from a safety point of view it needs the hedge at the entrance and exit to the carpark cutting back for better visibility when joining the main road.

The room was very comfortable and clean. The view from inside the room and on the balcony was beautiful. The evening meal was great and the bar area/dining room are very comfortable and also benefit from a great view.

Breakfast was only ok and we expected slightly better. The eggs were disappointing and overdone, particularly the poached option. Had to ask for milk on both mornings we stayed.

Liked the decor, the room and the breakfast

We accidentally left an expensive lightning phone charger plugged in (beside the dressing table, room 16) When we rang on the day we had left, to ask if it had been found, the receptionist said it hadn’t been handed in, and she was unable to check, as another guest had booked in to that room. We rang later, but we’re told it hadn’t been found. We didn’t feel convinced that a proper check had been carried out, as the person we spoke to seemed unconcerned. This was a pity, as we were very impressed with everything else about our stay.

Food was good and staff very helpful and pleasant. Comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom although it would have been helpful to have a safety handle to hold on to in shower

There was no room for a comfortable chair to relax in bedroom. Bedside table on only one side of bed (not the side I sleep on!) Shower head was too high for me to reach - am only 5ft 2in
