Spacious car park, comfortable room, if up rather more stairs than would be ideal for us now. Tbf this is a relatively new issue for us, we never used to be bothered by a few stairs, but age changes things.

There was a throwaway comment made at reception, as we were checking in, about “new owners” and bills. We didn’t manage to glean whether these were recent new owners, or new owners from midnight or what exactly, but it was a bit odd 🤷‍♂️ Maybe if we’d gone to the bar we would have found out more. Neither of us felt convinced that the sausage on our “full Scottish” breakfast was completely cooked. The bacon rashers were tepid. Overall a bit of a disappointing brekkie 😕

Lovely hotel in the heart of Grantown. The staff were fantastic and friendly with really nice food. Our dogs were made very welcome too which was great. We will visit again when time permits. Highly recommended.

There is only one down side and in no way a criticism....but there were no cosy comfortable sofas or chairs to sit on. All the chairs available seemed to be dining room style chairs. There were two cosy rooms and it would have been lovely if one of them had some where comfy to relax in.

The staff were excellent and there was ample parking. The hotel was well located for visiting the area. The meals were good. Lots of nice toiletries provided in the rooms.

Very limited choice of menu for a hotel (only 5 main courses to choose from - when you are staying 3 nights that really restricts the choice). The menu remained the same for all 3 nights - there were no specials. The hotel kitchen closed early the first night, (8.20pm), which we were not made aware of until too late, so we were unable to have a dessert. The following night we were given dessert on the house to compensate for this.

The lady that checked us in was very nice and accommodated us well in regards to our room. She made us feel really welcomed. The room was really nice and decorated well, the shower was good, there was a mini fridge in the room which was handy, as well as a kettle and coffee machine. Everything you could have wanted was there. All staff that we spoke too was very nice, smiley, accommodating etc. We couldn’t fault them. The beer garden was so cute, plenty tables, umbrellas shading you from the sun, there was even a fire pit. The toilets on the ground floor I thought was so good as they supplied deodorant and female item necessities etc. We would 100% be back, we loved our stay

Only thing I would say was the evening menu maybe should have a little more choices. But the food I did choose was really good.

Our stay at the Garth Hotel was just for one night on our way up towards Inverness to start the NC500. It was such a lovely stop for us. The room was really spacious and the bed was comfy. We didn't venture into the town but the hotel bar and restaurant were more than enough for what we needed and the food was lovely. It was all really enjoyable and we would happily recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in the area.

It’s a nice location close to ciarngorm national park. Easy to park your car there. Spacious room and bathroom. A nice breakfast is included in the price.

There was no one at the reception most of the time so we had to wait to check in and just left the key for check out since there was no one there. It was also quite noisy. We could hear the person in the room next to us snoring.

Good central location. Warm , and bedroom was comfortable with a seating area with a table. Bar and restaurant on site. Food was excellent, home cooked, large portions and very reasonably priced. Breakfast included which we have found is rarely the case at a hotel at this price point. This hotel didn't have great reviews but clearly something has changed as we couldn't fault it.

Location good , hotel in a bit of transition with new owners and undergoing works to upgrade . Hopefully things go to plan and they can develop utilising it obvious potential.

Restaurant getting refurbished so was out of use during stay , food was served in bar and other areas to accommodate.

Fantastic stay at the Garth Hotel, the hotel is really lovely! The rooms are to a high standard with excellent facilities, the evening meal and breakfast were to a very high standard and staff were very accommodating with unusual allergies. Nothing was too much for any of the staff and when I arrived very early at the hotel due to illness (and so not being able to carry the days planned activities), the staff went above and beyond to get my room ready ASAP so I could check in. All round great experience and would highly recommend!

A large choice of breakfast was available in a comfortable dIning room. The dining room and bar staff were friendly and efficient. The receptionists were also very helpful.

There was no fridge in our bedroom when we arrived. I like water to drink through the night and while I appreciated the fresh milk for our tea, a fridge was a necessity. The receptionist quickly brought one for us but the temperature wouldn’t cool below 16 degrees which was disappointing, however the receptionist had a ready supply of fresh milk for us.
