The location and facilities are excellent for families. We enjoyed walking around the area, going to the park and using the swimming pool and soft play with the kids. Electric car charging available and local amenities. We were impressed with the size of the lodges. Comfort and location and the Elmis products available.
Would be beneficial for information to check in to be sent via email prior to arrival as it was confusing to find out which building to check in at for lodge stays.

I was a little dubious after reading some of the earlier reviews. But we had a lovely stay and we would go back. The staff are absolutely fantastic. We stayed in the lodges and we stayed with our dog. We ate at Giovanni's and booked breakfast. The guys made a table for us in the lounge area and nothing was too much trouble. The boys went to the swimming pool and gym which they loved. Especially loved chatting to the lady in the pool reception. I feel awful I didn't get her name but I loved hearing stories about Walter and Peggy. Thank you . We booked the quad biking which is advertised at the hotel and was again, fantastic. These weren't on the site and you had to to drive to get there but it was worth the drive. The lodge was great. The beds were lovely. The views are fantastic. Staff were brilliant.
I understand what people are saying about the lodges needed a bit of TLC. I think maybe COVID has caught up and there isn't the investment in the lodges you would think there should be considering the price. It's a shame because I think the company are missing a trick. There is room for huge potential. However, everything that could be looked after on a day to day basis such as the cleanliness of the rooms and the beds were excellent. The pillows were great and the bathroom extras were lovely. Some of the settees were a bit scratched at the back and a picture frame was a little scratched but these are minor due to wear an tear and didn't in anyway spoil our holiday in any way. We loved our stay and we would come back.

Visited Aviemore along with 6 friends and we stayed in two of the lodges. These being fairly spacious meant we all had a bedroom and private bathroom and were impressed with the size of the accommodation. All being clean tidy and well equiped meant they exceeded our expectations
Our visit was mid 2023, long after BREXIT, however the town itself seemed to be suffering from a lack of staffing in many bars, restaurants and other facilites which either closed early or offered very limited timings for their food service.

We were apprehensive looking at some of the reviews, but the stay was absolutely amazing! The lodge has great views and has access to trails in the Craigellachie nature reserve. The lodge was well heated with three rooms and three bathrooms, very spacious and well equipped. Beds were large and comfortable. There are amenities provided in the bathroom. There is a kitchen as well with utensils, hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. It was quite useful to stay in and have food and drinks inside. The wifi was also excellent. We also enjoyed the swimming pool which has a wave and a water slide. The breakfast was also nice with lots of options.
The check-in and check-out along with breakfast is a 5-10 min walk from the lodge. It's not a lot, but can be a bit confusing if you are checking in the first time with luggage and are on foot/travelling by train or bus. The design of signages is for cars given it's a resort. The swimming pool needs some maintenance and upgrade. We did have some unpleasant experience where one of the lockers in the pool area had soiled diapers left by someone. We did report it to the desk. The staff seemed to care only about assigning someone else the cleaning task and took no responsibility to us as customers. Overall the staff was warm, but some instances like this made us feel as if they didn't want to work there.

The location was excellent, pool, & soft play was very good. The staff at reception went over and above to accommodate our needs on arrival.
The lodges are a bit dated could do with a makeover however they were comfortable, clean and well heated with a good stock of firewood. Breakfast service on the Sunday was a bit chaotic having to wait in long queues for the server to replenish hot food while also trying to make eggs another member of staff replenishing hot food would have been helpful. Staff in breakfast room were all helpful and friendly.

Very good location, comfort, design off the lodge. Family friendly.
The lodge I stayed for 3 nights was good but it needs some refurbishment and a new carpet. The reception service at my arrival was very unorganised as I was looking for staff for 20 min before I could check in. The check out was a similar process, the hotel I’ve checked in to stay in the lodge was completely closed the day I was leaving, there were no signs to go to the sister hotel to check out, so it was very unorganised. Breakfast service was very slow too, had to queue 15 min to get a table, and the following morning I had to wait 30 min to get my coffee.

The lodge was set in a beautiful peaceful area but still close to all facilities. The three bedrooms all had full bathroom facilities which was a great bonus when travelling with family. The swimming pool was great and gym was very good. Breakfast at the Morlich Hotel was very good with a good selection of food to suit all.
The lounge and kitchen were nice but would benefit from having an oven. Only hob and microwave available.

Myself and my son (14) spent 3 days in one of the lodges in July 2022. The lodge itself was far too big for just 2 people but we liked that we had so much space to ourselves. Everything was spotlessly clean and it was a very comfortable space to relax in after a day of walking around the nearby lochs and woodland, Log burner in the lounge was lit every evening (the heatwave hadn't kicked in at this point). Breakfast was buffet style and I really enjoyed it. Quality and selection were pretty much what you'd want.
As a self-catering lodge the lack of an oven was a little limiting (there is a microwave but that's not always a perfect or viable substitute).

Loved the fact that the bedrooms were large and had adequate wardrobe and drawer facilities plus enough hangers. Also loved that each bedroom had en suite facilities, one of which was a bath and shower - great for tiny tots who don't do showers. Although it was height of summer we had missed the "heatwave" and the evenings were quite chilly. It was lovely to have a wood burner with logs provided. Kindling not provided but there are plenty of dead dried sticks in the woods so not a problem. Top tip though would be bring either newspaper or firelighters. We asked for a cot and double checked with resort. also mentioned to resort that we would prefer a lodge near the play park as had a baby and a toddler. Both requested complied with. Reservation staff fantastic. Loads for kiddies to do in resort. Can't praise it enough and it's also very near the town with Aldi and Tesco within walking distance if not car.
Small details but the dishwasher did not really get the dishes particularly clean. Lodges really really needs an oven - would prefer this to a dishwasher. No instructions with microwave - essential. Need more cooking utensils and the pans were nowhere near large enough for a 3 bedroom lodge catering for 6 people so if you are a large group and you have a car -advice is to take your own as I did.

it was our second visit. loved the lodges once again and the location and facilities around. the train the lakes it’s beautiful out there. we would love a hot tub there which i am sure it’s in your future plans.
we didn’t like the breakfast and the fact that it wasn’t accessible for our friend who has MS. took the team 2 days to just move us to another breakfast location. also it’s a joke to say there is an egg shortage and then serve that awful scramble instead.
