Location and exterior and reception looks

The room was dark dingy, with the worst view I have ever seen - pigeons and rooftops…. Wow what a great birthday prezzie to my wife that was. No air conditioning at all, room was hot dusty and the top sheets were dirty. The two children working in the bar need to be trained in what they are doing and don’t let the customers wait 25 mins for two gins especially when there was only about half a dozen people in the bar.

The staff were lovely and the bar and restaurant areas were very luxurious. It was in a great location for walking to the Town and just 3 minutes to the Cathedral which is in the same road. There is a first come first served car park at the rear which is often unusual for hotels in town centres. It isn't owned by the hotel but guests do get a discount. The bed was extremely comfortable too.

The room was very cold as the radiators don't work but to be fair the weather outside was bitterly cold because of the wind chill factor, however there were two heaters in the room which did warm things up. There was a shower over the bath which was nice but the bath is not for people who are more amply proportioned as it is quite narrow. There is a small lift which was such a godsend for our suitcases. We didn't eat dinner there but the breakfasts were really good.

What a beautiful, atmospheric hotel. We really loved the many original features of the decor and ambience. The reminders of yesteryear and how elegant it would have been were just lovely. Very tastefully decorated and preserved. Really loved the 'old fashioned' bathroom fittings and sash windows. Will definitely stay again, purely because of its beauty. Perfect location for our needs and very quiet in our room 204. Unfortunately we did not sample breakfast, but will do next time if we get the chance

For me personally the bed was too high to get in to (but I am very short), and it was very firm. There was a choice of a pillow that was as soft as marshmellow, or the other like a brick - no happy ground. Despite these minor issues it would not put us off booking again

The hotel is just off the main shopping street of Hereford and about 50 yards from the Cathedral. The staff were very friendly and welcoming both when we checked in and whenever we picked up the key to the room during our stay. The room we had was very large and very comfortable. Some hotels offer more advanced coffee making facilities, such as Nespresso machines, but the coffee, tea and biscuits provided were enough for us. We used the bar in the evenings when we came back from an evening out and the choice of drinks is very good. It was fun to try the welsh whisky! We had breakfast on our last morning and had an excellent full English. There was a choice of things to have and it catered for everyone. A lovely hotel to stay in and we'll be staying there again for our next trip to Hereford.

It's very easy to nitpick but really there was nothing that I didn't like.

The moment you walk into this beautiful hotel , meet at reception by friendly staff, nothing touch trouble ask if we could leave luggage before and after checking out , of course you can was told by friendly staff and as long as like, that made our stay more special as we could explore all town and river , room it's self beautiful, spotless clean , big comfortable bed and big size room , had everything in it , including biscuits etc ', the bath and shower room big and powerful shower , well done green dragon for getting hundred percent right , the food looked amazing, but didn't eat there as had other plans made .

Nothing not to like about this beautiful hotel.

Great location in city centre. We didn't dine at the hotel, instead we walked out and used local facilities for our evening meal and breakfast. The decor in the hotel will not be to everyones taste, but we found it just enhanced the character of this historic building. We arrive on a bank holiday Monday so the hotel was relatively quiet and it was nice to relax for a few hours in the very comfortable lounge. The information for the hotel suggests that parking for the hotel may be a problem as they don't own their own car park. To the rear of the hotel, literally across the road there is a car park associated with the hotel and we found parking easy. There is even a car park pay point within the hotel reception area. We visited in May 2023 and the parking charge was £6.80 for 24 hours.

The lift is very small, and whilst it says no more than 6 people to use it at any one time, it would be a little to intimate for me if more than 2 people were in it.

The hotel was quirky, it also had a restaurant and bar you could go too.The room we had, had everything from hair dryer, iron and ironing board also little bottles of smellies.It was close to Hereford Cathedral, also near bars, shops and restaurants.

The room did have tea and coffee facilities but no spoons.The only thing we didn't like was that you had to pay for the parking, also it was first come first serve.We couldn't park in the last space that was available because a large car was over the line so we couldn't park in the space so we had to park next to another car which didn't have lines.

well its been a long time since I was last at the Green Dragon. Some time maybe before 2011. I had heard it had been updated and I really liked what had been done. Check in was seamless. the room was cosy and welcoming. Location there is nothing better to be able to walk out in Hereford and enjoy the town centre. Three stand out mentions: 1. the welcome tray and hte shortbread biscuits were delicious. 2, the bed and pillows were so comfy i took a photo of the brands before leaving. I travel pretty much every week with work and thats the best nights sleep i have had in years in a hotel. 3. The breakfast was fab and the setting for breakfast is great. its just got this overall relaxing atmosphere. there isnt that ambient hum noise you get in modern hotels its just really quiet.

honestly I cant think of anything. the website was very decent in explaining the parking and i didnt chance the hotel car park and went straight for the NCP which was less than 100m away and empty when I arrived at 7pm

We got married at a venue in close proximity to the Green Dragon Hotel and chose to stay here for the duration. The staff were exceptionally helpful in facilitating all of our needs (including ironing my husbands wedding shirts, thank you so much to Tracy!) and ensuring we had a seamless and enjoyable stay throughout. The rooms are warm and spacious and the hotel is in an excellent location.

It was a little loud at night on the street facing rooms, however, it was a Bank Holiday weekend so there were lots of people out and about. Some things like this can't be helped!

I was blown away with how beautiful the Green dragon hotel is. Our room was so cosy, we booked a apartment suite so I could work. I couldn't believe how much room we had. The hotel went above and beyond for us. Leaving a beautiful card and gift for my partners birthday. I would highly recommend the stunning green dragon hotel to anyone. Our dinner was outstanding, the gluten free option are incredible more options than I've seen anywhere else. Will definitely be back soon

We found we didnt have much tea, sugar, milk, coffee in our room. How ever the reception staff where more than happy to give us as much as we needed. Plus a two minute walk around the corner of the hotel you can find tesco. If there's anything else you need.
