Staff were friendly, and there was great service. Rooms were nicely laid out, comfortable, and very clean. Bathroom great, great view from the room. Lounge and restaurant nicely laid out also a good size patio to sit in the sunshine. We ate breakfast 2 mornings and 2 evening meals, again service very good, food was generally good quality on both nights, we felt a tad expensive. Paying extra for breakfast is we feel guiding the lilly the only reason we didn't give this place a 10. Overall its a nice place extremely well run by people who take care and pride of the hotel they work in.

Paying extra for breakfast.

Room was comfortable and adequate for my stay. The restaurant food and breakfast was good. Nice touches with toiletries etc

The bathroom is dated and not particularly very clean. Signs of black mould around bath. Only an electric shower over the bath which for the price of the room below standard. My room had obviously recent gone under refurbishment but certainly missed a trick by not updating shower.

We were staying here to attend a wedding at another venue. The Pilgrim Hotel was convenient for this. Hotel exceptionally clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly yet professional. Very accommodating. The hotel is having a kitchen refurbishment but the hotel are very transparent about this and have tried to ensure this does not affect the quality of the food. They are operating a limited menu but which has something for everyone. They are asking people to order cooked breakfast in advance which is a good idea. This means it is freshly cooked. I would stay here again if I was to visit this location in the future.

For the two night stay we were there, nothing could have been better.

The Pilgrim Hotel is a somewhat older style hotel with oak beams and quaint layout, which has undergone some sympathetic modernisation. The views from most rooms, and the dining room and its annex, are spectacular and beautiful with the distant Black Mountains, and there is a large field sloping away from and owned by the hotel. The fact that virtually all bedrooms are at the back of the building, facing away and well away from the main road, meant we could hear no traffic noise with windows open. Free internet worked faultlessly. Staff are friendly and accommodating, the dinner and full english breakfast was pretty good. The bedroom was OK for roominess, with comfortable beds. The ensuite shower was into a bath, so a little basic. Off-road car parking was excellent, and the front gardens were attractive. Overall, this was a very pleasant hotel to have our stop-over, close to Hereford and very good value for money.

Bearing in mind the price; I don't feel motivated to criticise anything. I suppose that a modern walk-in shower in the ensuite would be an improvement.

The breakfast was great, but the standout was the evening meal. The chef really knows his stuff; mutton curry mains and possibly the best onion bhajis I have ever had. Staff were welcoming and friendly and made sure I had a great stay

The rooms are a little dated, could do with a lick of paint and some TLC. However the bed was comfortable and clean, so reality is nothing wrong really.

The food was amazing, by far the best Tikka Masala I've had in my life - nice bit of spice and very flavorful. The naan bread was also very fresh, soft and tasty. Highly recommended. Very bubbly friendly staff. Good selection of beers/ cider. Beautiful old building with lots of parking.

Really digging deep for a fault here, I'd say add a hot chocolate to the tea and coffee in the room?

Great location with wonderful views of the country side. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and were very obliging when we wanted to have a final drink in the bar when it was technically closed, We were not rushed to finish our drinks in teh lounge,

The breakfast was expensive when we did not want the full cooked breakfast. There was no offering of additional items to offset those we did not want. As such we had to pay for price for just a sausage and 2 rashers of bacon.

Lovely hotel and rooms, ground floor room with lovely views, evening meal was lovely. Friendly staff. Bed was comfy and also pillows

No communication from booking.com...the hotel only got us down for 1 night but when I booked 2, had a phone call to ask why were not checking out. Staff did apologise, we were lucky no one had booked into that room for the Sunday night.

great location, nice building, excellent food and service, Hannah is an absolute diamond, nothing is too much trouble for her and always seemed to be around if you needed something.

our room wall were a little thin, if you are unlucky enough to have noisy neighbours, it’s a bit annoying.

very quiet location with lovely countryside views. Room was very comfortable, comfy beds and plenty of pillows which is always a bonus at a hotel!

not the fault of the hotel as it’s an old building, but being in a ground floor room we could hear every footstep and phone alarm from the room above which was a little annoying at 6am
