Very clean, friendly when I spoke on the phone, very comfortable

Was advertised as parking but not available- nearby (5mins) cheap public parking available and it would have helped my timekeeping to know this was there. I contacted via the link on booking.com to ask for entry instructions etc but this did not seem to be received. When I arrived I contacted the number on booking.com and got an answerphone. When I walked there there was a different number which was answered helpfully and in a friendly manner immediately. It meant I was time poor as the journey had also taken an hour longer than estimated and at least I had key and access but had to go and collect my belongings from the car park I had found and take them to a friend to get changed so I could get to opera transport on time.

The location was great. A few minutes walk from a quiet street to the High Street for shops, cafes and restaurants and Waitrose was very helpful. The second floor suite was pleasantly decorated with an Indian theme and very clean. There was room to move around and hang clothes. The TV also has a facility to play DVDs. We like bedside lights too. The owner was friendly and helpful. We were given some cereal, condiments and the facility to make a simple breakfast. The kitchenette has a toaster, kettle and microwave and enough crockery and cutlery. It was good to have this, and the owner has made the most of a small space to provide as much as possible. The shower had good pressure and was provided with some good quality products for washing. Parking space in Lewes is valuable.

For an older couple who have reasonable mobility but are a bit creaky, the firm bed wasn't very comfortable for us, though perhaps other guests wouldn't have had a problem. Similarly, bending down to fill the kettle and make toast in the small kitchenette under the eaves wasn't very easy. There was no room in the kitchenette for a sink, but we washed our plates in the bowl provided. The owner was happy to wash these if we didn't want to. The parking space is narrow and would not fit a wide car, but was OK for our medium sized hatchback. These were minor things and didn't worry us too much. The house is on a quite steep hill so wouldn't be ideal for anyone with mobility problems.

Location very central It had parking which is a massive bonus for visitors to Lewes Spacious, clean and comfortable Lots of lovely little additions ie biscuits, tea coffee, toiletries etc. Very well equipped little dining/kitchen area Jo very discreet but there if you needed her and helpful

Fine during our stay as apart from Jo no other occupant. We were in first floor apartment. Not sure I'd like it if there was a guest above us due to open nature of layout and privacy issues if a guest staying on top floor. Would want lock on bedroom door I think. Also having to go out of bedroom in night to bathroom (even though bathroom not shared) would feel uncomfortable then? Little moan.....I don't like the smell of jos sticks which kept being burned downstairs? Sorry....

Residential area 10 mins walk to centre t My own suite rooms - bedroom bathroom and breakfast room Small parking area next to property…… my car too big but street parking no problem, cheap (compared to Canterbury!) and free between 5pm-9am👍 Jo was so helpful and kind. She was very responsive to any text messages when communicating. Thoroughly recommend

Jo was very helpful yet non obtrusive. The 2nd floor flat was self contained and well provisioned. The shower was powerful. The room was in a quiet yet convenient location to walk into town. We were able to part onsite (requested beforehand).

The bed could have been a little more comfortable. The biscuits were soft!

Jo was very hospitable and the apartment was light and spacious. She provided breakfast cereals and tea and coffee, as well as biscuits. There is a microwave for the guests use. A small bottle of prosecco and a chocolate on top of the information sheets was a lovely touch. . The house is in a very good location for walking to all the places of interest.

Jo was friendly and catered to our needs. The room was spacious enough. The apartment was located in the quieter part of Lewes which was great.

I had to pay extra for an additional adult as I only booked 1 person in Booking.com. I hope I had this information ahead of time (that the cost changes depending on the number of people staying).

Great location and very convenient for the town centre and all amenities, albeit a short walk away. Very friendly and chatty host - but never obtrusive. Excellent breakfast options and lovely home-cooked food. We had the sole use of three rooms - spacious bedroom, separate bathroom and shower, and sitting/breakfast room. Jo had advised us in advance about local car parking which was very helpful.

The double bed was smaller and narrower than we are used to at home.

It was lovely to have a separate kitchen/eating area with kettle, toaster, microwave & small fridge. Also provided was tea, coffee, milk, cereals, biscuits- an iron & ironing board. It was very comfortable and private. Bedroom was lovely and comfortable with a tv.

Nothing.
