The staff were friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was hard and I thought I would struggle to sleep, but it was great, had a very good sleep in the end. Very happy with the accommodation. Very thoughtful leaving bottles of water in reception. You can see the owner is an organised and practical person and they have a passion for the industry. The little detail, lights above the room number is a nice touch. The common area is in need of some tender loving care. Assume this is due to people coming in and out with suitcases and scuffing the walls. But the room was very clean and look newly refurbished. Great find! I will use this accommodation again.

The parking was a bit iffy, I parked in front of someone house. I was a little uncomfortable with it but parked as sensibly as possible.

Wonderful staff, great pub atmosphere. There was no food on site, so for the evening meal, we popped next door to the local takeaway and for breakfast, there's a cafe called Hayley's Cafe (BN2 4PD) excellent service.

Parking is on street parking (albeit on designated part of foot paths) need to check for match days as you will need a permit, which I think the pub can provide. The Web site shows as opening at 2 pm, but when i got there I was told 4 pm but check-in is from 3 pm. The room I had was compact, which for a single night isn't too bad. All in all, not a bad place to stay for a night or two.

We had a lovely stay at RUBY. The room was on the small-side but very comfortable and had everything we would need for a short trip to Brighton. RUBY is extremely well connected to the city so it doesn't matter at all that you are a bit further off the city, in fact it is better as you are away from the weekend crowds which we really appreciated. Buses are often and you can pay contactless. Staff was very helpful and we definitely recommend stopping at the pub for a pint!

Nothing that we can single out.

Room was clean and tidy, great shower. Nice roof top area to sit and enjoy the sun. The room was hot probably because the sun had been out all day, but a ceiling fan and window helped to cool it down. Bus stop opposite the pub with easy access into Brighton. A special thanks to Victoria who was so helpful and kind. Thank you.

Perfect for an away fan going to a matcb at the Amex. Landlady relaxed the rule around kids out by 8am for a guest of the hotel. Short walk to the stadium and the train station for a short ride to the middle of brighton

There wasnt a specifc place to park the car but we paid the pub for a parking permit. But left at the mercy of the local estate - which seemed friendly to be fair and this was advertised

I liked that the room was clean and well presented.

This hotel DOES NOT have parking available and parking is part of the reason I selected it in the first place. All the rooms are upstairs, and there is only a narrow stairway for access. The side light in the room was broken, meaning I either had to have the top light on, or be in darkness. The hotel advertises the rooms as "soundproofed". From my room, I could hear everything happening in the kitchen below, everything in the corridors and everything from the street! Until around 1/2am, the kitchen had music on loud and there was lots of loud conversations. Mildly disappointing.

The staff very helpful and stayed open for my late arrival to handover room keys. Bottles of water at the entrance to the rooms very much appreciated. The provision of kettle, tea and coffee etc. again very much appreciated. I slept like a log.

Just little niggles. No separate switch for the lights above bed which switched off when the main light was turned off. Also the fan in the bathroom was consistently running (I did manage to turn off). Hotel didn't offer breakfast but the cafe next door was excellent.

Loved my stay at RUBY! I was travelling alone, but was instantly welcomed by the staff and customers alike, as one of their own. The place had a real friendly vibe. Had a nice chat with barman who's name I didn't catch, sorry! But a really nice lad studying in Brighton. Also got to meet Laura, assistant manager and absolute legend!! She made me feel super welcome, as did Stuart and the other lovely bunch in there, who had me drinking and singing with them in no time! If you like a lively, friendly and upbeat, uninhibited pub vibe, then I'd definitely recommend a visit to RUBY. Awesome people and place!

Not much. Walls are a bit thin in the accommodation so I could hear other guests a little bit. But nothing that disturbed a good sleep. And more than made up for by the lovely experience of staying at such a kind and welcoming place :)

Good clean and tidy accommodation for a fair price. Access to cafe for breakfast and other meals.

Only issue was that because it opened at 3pm and our meeting up was planned for 2pm in town and getting back late, we had to rely on a key locker. 3 keys didn’t fit one locker and 2 of the keys were left in one room, which we didn’t find until we rang the numbers provided. Think there could have been better communication, either leave a message with key or text.
