Lovely breakfast - proper English fare, but with cereal/continental provisions for those who prefer that. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable, with a great shower. Lorna on Reception was exceptionally helpful, as was the young lady who checked me out the next day, and not forgetting the blonde lady in the breakfast room, who very kindly gave instructions on the best way to get our toast perfectly browned! I've stayed in this hotel several times already, and I'm sure I'll be back.

A great stay for the price. Your rooms have most of what you need / require. I think the only thing missing from the bathroom was some conditioner. It was lovely to see chain hotel using named products. The location of the hotel is a two minute walk through St Marks and you are then in the high street closer to the attractions. The hotel was clean and the staff were really friendly and attentative. Breakfast was included with the stay. It had most things you need or would have for breakfast and it seemed to be quite fresh. My only disappointment was the quality of the sausage. But that is on me, not them. I am sure others would really like the sausage. Parking was £7.50 for 24 hours which is a really good price and paying for this can be done in a number of ways. All in all it was a lovely stay.

We arrived late due to travelling, the staff were polite on arrival and checked us in very fast. There was no queuing and we were able to get a drink as soon as we arrived before going up to our rooms. The room was lovely, we had a double room with a double sofa bed for our 4 year old. He slept like a log, it was a lovely room perfect for a short stay for a little family. Breakfast was lovely and the coffee machines were a nice edition, love a nice coffee on a morning. My son spilt some orange juice and staff were there to clean it before I managed to get a Napkin.

When booking the hotel we didn't realise that parking was not free, it was £7 for every 24 hours that you needed to use the car park. We checked in at around 6pm and left around 10am and it was £7 which I thought was quite steep. So our £103 pound stay was actually £110. We ordered some food when we arrived to take up to our room, we ordered a Pepperoni pizza and a cheesy garlic bread. Staff came out to let us know they didn't have any Pepperoni and they had no garlic butter. They made us a cheese pizza instead and upgraded our garlic bread free of charge to a meat feast pizza. I would say the pizzas are definitely not worth £15 each but we appreciated the upgrade.

Room, staff, car parking (you need to pay), breakfast - all excellent. Lifts available. Excellent showers. Staff friendly and helpful and deserve a special mention. Have stayed in more expensive hotels but this hotel beats most of them - £ for £

No draught ale! - but this appears to be a temporary problem. Lagers but no ale! This is not a hotel for people who cannot walk far - a 10 minute walk is ok for a 50 year old but may be a problem for others. Notwithstanding, a taxi fare to the cathedral area costs £7.50 each way (July 2023) and you can use the hotel free phone to book. There is no restaurant on site although there are many places to eat within a 10 minute walk

I’m gluten free,and they catered for me all hands down which was great. Cereal 3 choices,gluten free bread,scrambled egg,bacon and beans as much as u wanted..they had sausage but they wasn’t gluten free 😢The hotel is about 10 mins walk into the centre so not too bad really as long as it’s not raining😂😂

The hotel is fantastic,it’s really clean and the 2 young lads at breakfast were very attentive every morning cleaning the tables and making sure the food came out quickly and they looked after your every needs. The lady on the reception in the morning is very lovely too.. The only downside is the lighting in the rooms is not great and could do with a few more mirrors,the 1 by the door as u walked in was okay but u couldn’t see as the light was so poor.

Partner really enjoyed breakfast. - Room 109 was clean and modern. Powerful shower, shower gel and shampoo included and additional cosmetics are available from reception. Blackout curtains worked perfectly. Plenty of plug sockets and storage. Sofa in room. Bed and pillows were comfy. - WiFi available throughout hotel - reliable with good throughput

- Vegan/vegetarian options are available for breakfast, but it'd be nice to have them out without having to request them, which can feel a bit awkward - Lifts travelled to higher floors to pick up more guests before going to the ground floor, but I'm nit-picking here

The room was spotlessly clean and smelt so nice.. The bed was so comfortable and I had the best night's sleep. All facilities in the room were so good. Loved the shower, the fluffy clean smelling towels and the Dove shower products. The TV, ironing facilties, hairdryer, plug sockets and lighting were all perfect for my needs. The buffet breakfast was so nice with plenty of options for either a continental or a fully cooked breakfast. Plenty of tea, coffee or fresh juices too. I cannot fault this hotel. The staff are amazing too and nothing is too much trouble for them.

I needed to check in early as my youngest son had an accident as we couldn't find a toilet and I needed to shower him , the staff were very helpful and got the room ready quickly so I could shower him, the hotel was so clean the breakfast was top quality and all the staff were fantastic. I would recommend this hotel in Lincoln it was fantastic I would book again five star's definitely.

This is just a suggestion, I don't have any bad feedback about anything at this hotel What would be cool is if some hotels started thinking about having a small area where books and board games were kept for kids as In Europe some have these so I could use and take to our room it's a thing in UK that is overlooked and it really helps parents. A warning sign for the hot water as it did get super hot.

Polite and helpful staff. Spacious room and bathroom. The 2-seater settee is significantly better than the single chair one usually find. The use of quality 'Dove' toiletries was appreciated. Lovely buffet breakfast. Hot food continually topped-up with freshly cooked items.

I understand the situation with the car park and the payment machine being owned by a third party, but having to faff-about outside in the wind and rain to register and pay for one's car will be a put-off to many otherwise, returning customers that don't want / can't pay by phone. If the machine can't be relocated in Reception, then at the very least, have a small covered structure put round it - even if Holiday Inn had to pay for it's self, it would certainly make good business sense.

The room was great. It was clean and comfortable. It took a bit to get it warm as we were cold but otherwise a very comfy nights sleep. A bit of a warning that it was a linking room may not have gone amiss but it did not interfere with our stay. Breakfast was really tasty with lots of choice and very impressed with the selection of gluten free options. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. A very pleasant atmosphere all round.

How to work the aircon for warmth as even in high it pushed out cold air. We had to turn it off completely to get the room warmer. It went back into automatic through the night which was good as it had reached a pleasant temp. Not a major issue though overall.
