Everything, clean, modern with a touch of olde worlde. Staff were so helpful. Would like to say this place is a gem in the Crown of Lincoln. Food is amazing and the selection of drinks is very good. Great place to stay ideal for the castle and Lincoln cathedral. Spread the word.

This hotel was in the perfect location for me and I was lucky enough to obtain a parking permit meaning I was literally parked right outside. For the yearly BH event that I attend this was really convenient and meant I was able to offload things to my car regularly on passing form one event location to another. I must have interacted with at least 7-8 staff members at some point, from check in, breakfast and cleaning, and each and every one of them were attentive, friendly and helpful. Breakfast, although slow to arrive, was good and plentiful. Sky TV, although I didn't discover till last day, (my oversight) meant I was able to watch and listen to music channel whilst getting ready to go out. So primely located and pleasant to stay, I have already booked again for next year. I've chosen a different room and the cleaning staff kindly said they could provide me with my needs of a full length mirror and extension lead if needed.

My only worry was to try and nab a parking permit, as parking up for the weekend is a huge concern if it is not guaranteed. I was lucky this time! And just a few little niggles... No toilet roll holder, and no soap dish in the shower... made it seem like they hadn't quite finished refurbisment. Only one plug socket, meaning I had to unplug the kettle or turn off TV to charge my phone. And breakfast took about half hour, so I made it earlier the next day but it took even longer, so then I asked if I could order in advance for the check out day and they were happy to oblige. Though was a bit dissapointed there was no cereal to help ourselves to, at least while waiting.

Really great location. We really liked our room (the decor) and the breakfast was very tasty. Also, staff was great and super lovely, they helped us to book a taxi and we were able to keep our luggages in the hotel until we explored the city. This place will be our first choice if/when we will visit Lincoln, again.

We really love the place but if you have a room with windows with a view to the castle wall, you will hear the restaurant visitors from downstairs. It didn't bother us too much, though, but it might bother people who like to go to sleep early. Also, the fan and some lamps needed some cleaning, were quite dusty. It seemed like the fan hadn't been used in while.

Excellent bar, excellent breakfast, excellent staff. I've stayed in alot of hotels in my time, and I have to say, I love this style of hotel the best, small independent, but delivering exactly what the customer wants. So as soon as I walked into the bar, which had a pleasing look of relaxed chilled design. I just knew exactly what I was getting, no surprises that it had a good range of beers and wines. And it was the same in the morning at breakfast, absolutely spot on full cooked English breakfast. This is now my go to hotel when in Lincoln.

Nothing really. I'd be nit picking if I did. So I won't. Doesn't have car park, but there's one directly over the road, 9 quid for overnight parking.

The staff were lovely, helpful and attentive. The breakfast was very good, the food in the evening was delicious! Highly recommend the plate of pork. Book for evening meals as they get very busy in the evenings especially nearer the weekend

Personally found difficulty with the key locks in the door to my room but the member of staff took off the number attachment which helped. I have had surgery on my hands and rheumatoid arthritis. Though I did smile when I heard the person in the opposite room trying to get the key in the lock and unlock it. I did find it easier after getting the gist if it.

Location and overall vibe was very relaxing

I was on the top floor (2nd) and there is not good air circulation- the one window that opens, barely opens and only a 12” stationary fan is provided. As a result I had insomnia and basically slept 3.5 hours. I had come to relax and get some sleep and I left exhausted. Additionally as a result - in order to get some extra sleep (beyond 1 hour) i missed breakfast- which is included in my room. Nothing was made to retroactively accommodate this - like having something go towards another meal perhaps. So I was disappointed by that aspect.

Front terrace and beer garden ,and breakfast covered in the price .parking permit was on a 1st come 1st served basis ,and we were lucky enough to get a permit for the 3 days ,however I would think if we were having to pay for parking on top of the room cost it would of bumped the price up considerably!

We were in an attic room ,so due to the weather the room was extremely hot ,we did have a fan ,but didn't make a great deal of difference ,room didn't have a full length mirror. Also we were woken up by people sat on the terrace at 7.15 laughing loudly and as we were above the noise woke us up .we had a meal the Friday night ,fish n chips ,fish was lovely ,but huge chips which seemed liked they'd been reheated and were no time to eat as they were hard .

Staff were very attentive. Especially Louisa who was very patient with our struggles with the TV/Sky Box, and came up to the room and sorted it out for us. She also let us know when a Parking Permit became available as she saw my husband going out to move our car from overnight free parking. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and tasty.

I have mentioned this to the staff and understand that the following problems will be addressed/changed soon. Wi-fi wouldn't connect to our Mobile phones and when it momentarily did, would drop out again. Sky Box was obscured by TV, so using the Sky remote to change channels from sitting in bed, was only possible from one side of the bed! Not mentioned to staff, but not enough power points. One single socket next to the drinks table, to service the kettle, lamp and phone charging! No bedside sockets for charging phones/tablets.

Excellent location by Castle, public car park opposite but we got a parking permit from hotel for on street parking outside. The decor was beautiful and everywhere very clean. Lots of breakfast choices including lighter breakfast for me and full vegan for my husband. Nice bar to sit in during the evening after wandering round the city.

The room was quite small and Tv difficult to work with limited choice of channels. Also so many cushions and throws it was difficult to find somewhere to put them when using the bed, bit of a trip hazard but very pretty.

I had a lovely one night stay at The Tower Hotel. The staff were very helpful and the room was lovely and clean and very spacious. Altogether I had a fantastic stay and would definitely book again. It is a traditional but cosy hotel. Definitely great value as you are perfectly situated up the hill next to the castle (which is visible from the front rooms) and a very quick walk to the cathedral. Would definitely recommend. Didn't visit the restaurant or bar but will next time. I had a very delicious breakfast, and was happy with the set in the morning. The room was very spacious and happy to have a large ensuite with a bath and large light up mirror. The bed was very comfortable (stayed at a nearby hotel the night after and the bed was terrible!) and plenty of space. The wardrobe and storage was aplenty!

It was very warm during my visit and if you visit you should be aware that there is just a fan in the room. Also very limited plug sockets. Since there is seating at the front visitors were drinking and being loud whilst enjoying their drinks, so this is something to bare in mind if you get a front room and want an early night. Didn't bother me though and was only until 11pm max!
