Maybe i was just lucky this time but this was the quietest Smart I've stayed in. The girls left in the day time so I had the bathroom to myself and they turned the light out and didn't slam doors and talk at night - bliss. I asked for the bottom bunk which I was given. The bathroom was spacious and the bed has a privacy curtain and a good size drawer. The bed is comfy considering it's a thin mattress on a board and you know what you are getting with a Smart. There are nearby buses to the west end.

I would like two charging points and maybe a light on the bed. The window didn't open so the fan had to be on constantly. The first night was so hot I didn't want the duvet or the curtain. A girl was in my allocated bed when I arrived which caused me stress, no fault of the hostel. My booking was a little expensive for a hostel but bst summer time is on and it is pretty close to hyde park.

The location is wonderful, near to the underground and buses stops. In my room there was a bathroom, that was just shared with the people in my room. The breakfast is simple, but worth what you pay.

The floor makes a lot of noise when other people walk in the room. It is hard to sleep when other people is on the room walking to the bathroom for example. The bathroom does not have a mat on the floor. So if other people took shower before you and the floor got wet, you will have to dry it with what you have. After 11PM they don't sell water. If you need, you'll have to leave the hostel and buy it outside or drink water from the tap in the kitchen. Never forget to buy water before returning to the hostel.

After reading the reviews we were a bit worried but ended up having a very pleasant stay at this hostel. We booked a private room and everything was as described. The room was a bit cramped for 2 persons but everything was clean. Hot water was working well and had a good pressure. There is a huge smart TV in the room which was also nice. Staff were friendly. We were provided with towels and shower gel. Checkout is at 11am for private rooms. The hostel is situated 10min walk from all the tube stations around which was fine for us. The neighbourhood was safe and quiet. Overall very happy about our stay.

The last night around 1am we heard a chilling scream from a woman from somewhere in the building. We were a bit unsettled but the staff sorted the situation rapidly.

Friendliest supervisor named Leo greeted us upon check in. No towels available to hire when we checked in so Leo gave us some for free after. Great location near bus stop. Place is clean & modern with free wifi in all areas. Happy hour in the bar most days. Breakfast was a surprised as we didnt pay for it, but I am on Genius Level 2, so we got it for free. Eat all you can, breakfast with various selections. Coffee machine was a bonus with unlimited drinks from juice & coffee machines. Free wifi all areas. Aircon in reception lounge & kitchen.

Leo made up for the friendliest service tho not all staff are friendly esp the kitchen staff who hardly smile at all. Our room could do with a stronger fan as its very hot during our stay, also a chair or stool will be handy as our heads keeps banging on our bunk bed whilst getting ready. Also, needs a mat in the bathroom to use as you get out of shower.

My recent stay at Smart Hyde Park View Hostel was nothing short of fantastic. The staff's friendliness and helpfulness stood out right from the start. A massive thank you to George, who went above and beyond by relocating me to a 6-bed all-female room without any additional cost when I had initially booked an 8-bed mixed room (which coincidentally turned out to be all male). His proactive and considerate approach was greatly appreciated! Other things worth mentioning are spacious lockers ensuring the security of personal items, and the cleanliness of both the room and the private bathroom within the shared 6-bed space. And curtains to close around your bed. 10/10! The hostel's location was another winning factor, making it convenient to explore the city. I highly recommend Smart Hyde Park View Hostel for budget-conscious travellers seeking a clean, secure, and welcoming stay. Will definitely come back! Thank you once again to George and the entire staff for their outstanding hospitality!

Location is fantastic! The staff were super friendly and accommodating. We had an en suite room with 2 double beds on the first floor which was ideal for my elderly mother and our sore feet at the end of the day. Bar inside was reasonably cheap and you could take drinks to the room which was a bonus. Room was clean, cozy and very spacious. Everything you need for a cheap London central location stay. I will 100% be booking to stay here again

Only thing we didn't like was that you could hear everything from our room. There must have been a waste pipe right outside our room as your could hear water running all day/evening and would only not be present early hours of the morning. Was totally fine once you got used to it.

The shower was divine! I needed one badly! The triple bunk beds were such that I could not sit up straight in the bed so there was a single wood bench one could sit on for reading, etc. By the end of the night, all six beds were occupied but there was just one other traveler when I checked in. Conflict may arise over open window or closed... traffic noise carried up to second floor but I understand the need for air flow. The two black men at reception area were exceptional... nice, soft-spoken, helpful and reassuring. I wasn't sure I was in the right hostel because I had written down Leichester and hostel is on Leinster Terrace. Also, there is a nearby Smart hostel two blocks or so away so one might get confused like I did! Also, more info about "continental breakfast" should be shared at check-in, please. Had I known coffee, hard-boiled eggs, cereal, bread, etc. was included... especially the protein-laden eggs... I would've chosen to eat it for the 6 pound 50 charge. Alas, I went to Starbucks and spent more for less. I loved the location. I asked for walking directions to the hostel at the reception of an upscale hotel down the street. There, a man dressed in a tuxedo came outside... he looked so elegant. I told him he looked like George Clooney. Che bello! So, all in all, lots of options in the area and safe, I believe.

Just share more info about the continental breakfast or have a sign. MORE starving travelers will choose this if we know what is included!

The location was very prime within walking distance of shops, Hyde Park and the metro stations. The bed provided outlets and I liked how they had curtain covers.

No AC only a fan that blows hot air and ours in the bedroom was broken. The room can get quite cramped and there’s not a lot of space to store your hand luggage unless you shove it into the small locker you get. Also breakfast staff was quite rude and would rush you to finish eating several minutes before breakfast time even ended. I would have rather taken my time eating and cleaned up after myself but I often felt like I was being kicked out of the common kitchen space.

I was very, very pleasantly surprised by this hostel. In the past when staying in other hostels I have struggled to find a power outlet to charge my items, which when travelling is a real worry as you never want your devices to be out of battery. Smart Hyde Park View completely removed this worry for me as each bed has its own power socket, as well as a USB charger slot. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space to move around between the beds which was great! I also loved the cleanliness of the bathroom, the fact that there was a bathtub in the bathroom and the lovely colourful hallways! Staff were also very friendly, and the location is excellent, just a few minutes walk from Queensway Station and lots of wonderful restaurants (I recommend Uzbek Corner in Queensway Market!) and it was easy to walk to the Victoria and Albert Museum across Hyde Park. I would definitely choose this hostel again next time I am in London!

I liked everything!

-Nice staff, straightforward check in and check out. -A lift was available. -The bed was comfortable and there was a bathroom and shower in my room, very convenient. -The locker for your suitcase was large enough for my big travelling backpack. -It was clean and there were plugs near my bed. -Decent room to eat your food in. -Near shops, public transport, and Hyde Park. A 10 minute walk from Paddington Station.

-I was surprised by how many little flies were in my room when I arrived. The window was open sure, but just a warning to future travellers during summer time that this may happen to you too. -The room and bathroom were rather small, so if you have many suitcases and you used up all the room available in your locker, it'll feel even more cramped considering you're sharing with others too. -Hadn't used the kitchen so I can't comment on that.
