The room and check in staff were outstanding. All I wanted to do was drop the bags off, but they went over and above, allowing for an early check in.

The bar. There was a lot of empties left around on and off the bar. I had a pint of draft beer and tried to order another, but to be told the beer was off, but I could purchase a bottle, which I did. About thirty seconds later a gentleman went to the bar and asked for a pint and a chaser which at the drop of a hat was facilitated. Bit odd, but not enough to dampen the rest of the hotel.

The location is very good

The breakfast was poor for the £25 I paid - the plates were cold and some of the supposed hot food was cold and some lukewarm - not a nice experience If I stay again I wouldn’t have breakfast here Perhaps this is a general experience as there were not a lot of clients taking breakfast when I stayed The selection of fruit for the Compote was poor- the pineapple was dried out! The staff with one exception and I didn’t make a note of her name seemed unaware that there were clients who needed attention - they were “going through the motions” Very disappointing.😩

We had room 605, which although it looked out over the rear of Fortnums was quiet as no traffic due to road closures for the Coronation. There was a little bit of noise from people arriving at Tramps nightclub on Coronation night but really minimal. The room wasn’t huge but good for London and plenty spacious enough with everything we needed. Coffee machine and kettle with good assortment of teas etc. Could ask for fresh milk if wished. Packets of biscuits. Heated towel rail was a bonus as were the very nice large and fluffy towels. We hung up our towels but had replacement clean towels left, too, when the room was cleaned - much better than usual hotel practice. Good hairdryer. All staff we met were friendly and helpful. We had breakfast one day. Thought that was good with nice selection and good value for money.

Location to many of London's main sights and attractions is about as good as you will get. Room was well appointed and comfortable. Staff all professional, courteous and most helpful and obliging at all times and particularly the team running the concierge desk. Thanks to Ricky for all the help with locating some really good, and affordable, restaurants.

While we normally choose to have breakfast outside the hotel, circumstances required us to use hotel breakfast facilities which could be improved though not bad.

The location was great and the hotel had a very welcoming atmosphere. The room was clean and everything was in working order. The bed was comfortable and there was very little outside noise.

Our room wasn’t quite ready which we were a little disappointed with (check in was from 3pm and we arrived at 3.40pm) but we were told we could sit in the bar and the room would be ready shortly. The other thing we didn’t really understand was, when I booked a twin room I expected the beds to made up separately but they weren’t? The receptionist, however, explained that this was the case and if we wanted it set up separately, we were to inform them and they would go back in (we just didn’t understand why this wasn’t done in the first place).

We stayed in the area for 3 nights and it was very nice. We had the double room with sofa bed. The beds were comfortable. There was hot rails to dry some clothes or towels in the bathroom. Various foods selection for breakfast. Good location as well. 10-12mins walk to Buckingham palace, 2-3mins walk to Piccadilly Circus, 4mins walk to Savile Row. It was unfortunate that we checked out during a parade so there was road block around the area. So make sure to check the news beforehand. The staffs were very helpful as well.

Welcoming staff, reception happily and quickly dealt with our room keys not working and accompanied us to the room to check all was okay. Room very clean, lovely linen, soft comfy duvet and comfortable bed and pillows. TV with Sky. Large shower with a handy basket for shampoo etc. Towels, small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, lotion and a bar hand soap provided. Coffee machine and pods available to use, kettle, coffee sachets, selection of tea and sugar with two biscuits available to use kept in the wardrobe. Wooden hangers, shelving and a safe. We were on the fourth floor with no view as such but booked for the location close to the theatres. Lifts clean and easy to use with no fuss. We didn't eat here so not able to comment on the restaurant.

One disappointment for this hotel was there were not any sockets next to the bed either side. The only sockets and USB were located under the TV away from the bed. The decor was a bit old fashioned and felt as if it could do with a face lift to include upgraded sockets as we all have devices to charge nowadays.

Helpful polite reception staff. Really comfy bed. Nice quiet bar area. Clean and tidy hotel throughout. The location is perfect for the theatre and local eateries. Id stay again however, I would most likely eat out next time.

The meal was okay (good steak) but very overpriced. £44 per sirloin steak but anything additional like vegetable or sauces is an aditional cost. The selection for vegetable was very limited. The New Jersey potatoes were seved up in what looked like a brown dogs bowl. The potatoes were not scrapped properly and appeared a bit grubby and tired. We got charged for fizzy water £6.50 which we didnt order or want.

The location is simply fantastic, the staff made us very welcome and went the extra mile for our stay. Good buffet breakfast, we were on the 12thn floor so had views over the city .... so suggest higher floors are better. Room facilities were excellent and as expected for the price point.

Should have had a larger room as standard is a little cramped even for a few days, there is no outside space but it is central London. A gym would have got some use, but as we walked mostly the exercise element was catered for.

Excellent location and friendly staff. The view from our room on the 15th floor was spectacular. Comfortable bed and excellent bathroom facilities.

Room quite small for the price. Breakfast service variable, marked by a shortage of staff at times. Gluten free bread for toast ran out and not replaced. The lift only went up to the 14th floor which meant a climb up two flights of stairs to the floor our room was located on. OK for us but for people with mobility issues not good.
