Lovely country hotel, quiet, really lovely staff, welcoming, great parking. Stayed with my sister and three kids between us. Rooms were spotless with tea/coffee/hot choc/biscuits provided. We dined in hotel and had a lovely evening meal and breakfast the next morning was wonderful. TV was a little small in the bedroom and rooms are more dated than say city centre hotels but cosy and I liked the country feel to it, had a little more character. Felt at ease with kids going up to room to get things when we were downstairs in the restaurant as it was that bit smaller/quieter & more intimate and they loved the freedom.

Booking confirmation said we'd have a room with a view and we were looking at a wall.The recepionist was brilliant and got us moved. He hadn't allocated the room. Explained drawback of the room he moved us to but it wasn't an issue for us. It was our third time staying there Food is usually really good, but slight issues with our evening meal on Saturday night ,(took ages) and then at breakfast the next day they had major problems with their gas supply which probably didn't look so good to people who were there for their first time. But we had never encountered that on our previous stays. (And I have just made a further booking).

Honestly just want to say a massive thank you, we could not fault our stay and the staff just went above and beyond for us! As we had a wedding, I requested early check in and somewhere were we could get changed prior to the ceremony, they had our room ready for 11.30 which allowed us to get ready comfortably and stress free! The following morning, they offered breakfast to the room for my partner, who wasn’t feeling too good following a successful wedding! They also offered myself a lift to the wedding venue to collect my car, saving me from ordering a taxi and then allowed us to take our time checking out, so we didn’t feel rushed! Honestly, cannot wait to return to the Belfray! The staff are 5*. It is so cosy and homely, rooms are spotless and we had a very comfortable nights sleep. Nothing. 10/10 stay.

Amazing little hotel in a very quite spot, but still very close to city centre. Comfy rooms, with nice selection of coffee, tea ( they had Barrys!:) and hot chocolate, also bottles of water, which was a really nice touch. Staff was nothing short of fantastic, very attentive and helpful. Food in the restaurant on site was very nice (we had dinner) and breakfast in the morning had a great selection. Will 100 percent stay again when in Derry next.

Beds was a bit too soft for us, but it is a matter of personal preferences. Can't fault anything else at all.

We had an unexpected weeks stay due to an issue with a house booking and from the very beginning the staff were fabulous. They were so friendly and couldn't be more helpful. They even bought in Nutella for my son's breakfast! The rooms were nice and big with lovely finishings. Breakfast was nice and the hot food was always quick to be served. We had room service one evening and the food from the restaurant was delicious. My son took unwell and the staff kept checking he was ok and even made him toast in the evening when he felt a bit better. The hotel is in a great location on the the outskirts of Drumahoe. We all had an fabulous weeks stay.

Beautiful Hotel, loved the decor of the hotel, looked old, stylish and rich, staff friendly, dinner was gorgeous, very clean. Breakfast was lovely, very friendly and helpful waitress.

We were woken up by the noise from the smoke alarm. Early morning, it stopped after a couple of minutes as we were just getting up, I'm not sure why it went off. It didn't ruin our stay, though, just our lay in lol Would definitely stay again 😃

The staff where so attentive and continually checking with guests that all was well. The entertainer John Browne was a super singer and so friendly also.

Not necessarily a dislike but a larger space to sit and relax out of the dining space would be nice.

The room was very clean, breakfast was very good and staff very friendly and helpful. The Bistro was very handy for reasonable meals and the very popular Sunday carvery was fabulous. Plenty of car parking space and only a ten minute drive into the centre of Derry.

Nice facilities. Very helpful staff - Mary, Susan, and Lucinda - couldn't have been any more helpful and welcoming. The room was large and well appointed on the 3rd floor over looking the front entrance. There is a small car park at the front with the main car park to the side/rear of the property. Tea/coffee/hot chocolate facilities are provided in the room with glass bottles of water also included.

There were some dust/diamonds missing from the headboard. Lighting is poor in the room, would need a couple of downlighters in the centre of the room or a chandelier/ single large light. Blinds can be opened but not raised - this could also provide extra light.

This is a lovely hotel. Exceptionally clean with wonderful staff. Sweet Cindy was the on duty manager, doubling as wait staff for breakfast in the dining room, and she could not have been more gracious. After 2 days of travel and very little sleep, we had a bit of a late start for breakfast. Cindy encouraged us to take our time and enjoy each of the made to order items -- even finding housekeeping to ask them to clean our rooms last. Going way above the definition of hospitality, Cindy answered all sorts of questions and familiarized us with her Derry home. The breakfast was amazing, hearty, made-to-order, and included with our stay. The scrambled eggs and bacon were possibly the best I've had -- why don't we make it like this in the States? I would definitely stay here again.
