Right on the seafront overlooking East Beach, it has a wonderful location and at the end of August, the road was not too noisy - the double glazing was pretty effective. Room had everything I needed for visit to family. Friendly staff. The meal we had in the restaurant was superb. Room was serviced whilst I was out every day - did not actually see the staff concerned as so discreet! WIFI worked fine for me. Great for people and wildlife watching.

I found the knob on the shower a bit stiff as my arthritis is kicking in but once loosened it worked fine. Noisy seagulls on the roof but all part of the charm.

The Firth Hotel is more like an English pub rather than a Scottish hotel. A refurbished older building that was compact but had nine reasonable sized rooms on two upper floors and a bar and restaurant on the ground floor. It's part of a small local chain of hostelries. The stairs had its own entrance (with locked door) from the front street so access was possible 24/7. I had a single room with sea view. It was adequate in size with comfortable bed, small wardrobe and drawer space, chair, good en-suite, large window and an absolutely stunning unhindered view looking east across the river and along the beautiful sandy Lossiemouth east beach. The sea view rooms were a little extra, but worth it if you're going to make use of the view. At night, the lights of Buckie and beyond can be seen. A nearby footbridge gives access across the river with the Moray Coast Trail heading east. Check in was straight forward at the bar when you pay, and a box on the wall by the outside door can be used for the keys on check out. Good breakfast and evening meals available as extras. Menu available online. Service for both was good. Hotel recommended. Travelled there by train (Elgin) and bus from station (30 minutes during day, hourly evening)

Overall, was happy with the stay. Breakfast was a little expensive and must be booked. Room had creaky floor so hope I didn't disturb anyone below! Wardrobe had only two hangers. On last night, I had a noisy neighbour. Crashing and banging early in the evening and again at 2am. Not hotel's fault!

Brilliant location and Brilliant staff. Food lovely. Rooms comfortable with sea views

Side door key a little awkward and fiddly. Breakfast a little complicated choosing 7 items more choice of jams (only blackcurrant) only cherry yoghurt’s. More choice of pastries ie croissants pancakes crumpets More Tea and coffee only 1 cup . For £15 thought for the price . more choice and lots of Tea and coffee should have been available as compared to room prices which were very reasonable

The location was sublime. The hotel is right across from the ocean, easy to get to, with lots of free parking around. The room was comfortable. It had everything I needed and was very clean. The restaurant was lovely. I really enjoyed the haggis bon bons and the fish pie. Nice options of whiskeys too. The breakfast is also lovely! Oh and the staff are all so sweet and welcoming. They definitely add to the charm of this beautiful little hotel.

Bathroom was a little tight, but not really an issue. I made the mistake of ordering a burger on my second night here. The patty was thick and quite processed. The tomato slices were also just the ends of tomato. It tasted fine, it just made it tricky to eat. I would recommend either of the pies, the mussels or the haggis bon bons. But there looked like there were so many other good options on the menu.

Beautiful location in town with some shops and restaurants close by. The room was very clean, there was coffee and tea provided, a hair dryer in the closet and the bathroom has a comfortable size. The bed is comfortable, too, and I rested well.

The budget single room on the first floor is really small and faces the backside of the building. There is not much daylight coming in and not much fresh air, you will also hear the ventilation of the kitchen, which is not very loud, though. It's good for a night, but you might want to get a bigger room for longer stays.

Location location location. The hotel is minutes away from shops, restaurants and bars. It is on the waterfront, so couldn’t get any closer to the beautiful beach. Well worth paying the tiny bit extra for a sea view. The views are fantastic. The rooms are quite spacious, very clean and well maintained. The staff are extremely pleasant, helpful and informative.

Greeted with an extremely warm friendly welcome. Very comfortable single beds, and the room was just good for our short stay. Friendly staff / including very courteous and friendly cleaning staff. Room was very comfortable. A very pleasant stay, would definitely book here again.

Only things we picked up with reference the room was plug sockets! Two available which one was the fridge and the other the kettle, although there was a lamp in the corner which you'd have to remove either the fridge or kettle to plug in. Which would be all a juggle if you were wanting to use all three on a dark evening for instance, as well, as wanting to plug your own mobile phones to charge.. A suggestion might be a multi socket in the room incase needed.

The staff made our stay more enjoyable. The room was private and quiet with a great view of the water. Windows opened for a breeze which was much needed as the heating seemed to be on amd it was sweltering.we didny zpend much time in the room so rhis was only a minor issue. Restaurant was excellent with plenty of variety and all tasty. Location is great and we never had a hard time finding parking. I would stay here again.

Hot room.

I liked everything about the Firth. Location was excellent, my room had a wonderful view over the beach, the staff were polite & friendly, & very accommodating to my needs as i have a medical need, they listened to what kind of foods that i could & couldn't eat, & amended the menu for me with no problems at all. I would highly recommend the Firth Hotel to anyone looking for a quiet & relaxing break, in a very beautiful part of Scotland.

Absolutely nothing, it ain't broke, don't fix it.

The Seaview was stunning, and the breakfast was great. Very friendly staff.

I didn't like the seagulls nesting on the roof, but that's what you get in a seaside town. Also, the room was a bit small, but it is an old building, and you have to work with the space that you have.
