The staff was so friendly and helpful and nice!! Makes me want to come back just for that reason. The room was also nice- it was what I expected and had everything I needed. Mind it's an old building and an old hotel, but for that sake well kept, if you ask me. Reminded me a lot of hotels I'd stay at with my folks when I was a kid, in a nice and nostalgic way.
Some of the interior could probably get some new decorations and so, maybe some renovations could be done, but all in all I found it good. I don't have a lot to complain about. I don't have a lot of money, so I wish there were cheaper rooms available, but on the other hand I got a really good room for the price I paid, so it's fine- it's no more expensive than other hotels anyway.

The location was good, it was only a 5 minute walk to the waterfront and there were cafes and shops close by. The staff were very friendly and the room was nice. My husband and I stayed with our 10 year old son and he enjoyed it too.
The only issues were very minor - we couldn't get on to the wifi even after checking the correct account and password with the hotel staff - not an issue for the adults as we had mobile data, but my son wasn't able to use his tablet. The only other thing was that my card details were not showing on the system, but I think this was an issue with Booking.com rather than the hotel, and easily rectified once we got there.

Firstly, Katie. What a honey. From the first to the last minute, she made me feel like family. There was never a no, and she helped me dry some clothes. She washed me well as I left, which was hard for me to do.
I loved the quiet room and loved having what, 200 channels on the TV and immersing myself in some old favourites. I just loved the old world feel in such a historic village. A very special time. Thank you, Katie, and the cleaning lady and her daughter.

Good location, just around the corner for shops, bars and restaurants and also the esplanade. Good parking space beside the accom, vehicle not left in street. Dinning room was closed, so no meals or breakfast available. Lots of local characters in the bars,
Refreshment facilities in room limited to tea only, with no biscuit to go with. Pillows were not as comfortable as would have liked, but did find additional choice in the bathroom cupboard in the morning.

Fantastic price. Microwave provided to make your own food. Second time there. If it's luxury you are after it's not for you. If it's a clean, comfortable, no frills room it is super. My wife and I love it and will be going back.
The room was slightly cramped this time. Last time we had a large room. But £100 for two nights I'm not complaining.

Liked that it was right in the centre of town and that there was a superstore just across the street. There you could purchase food items and other helpful things that one may have forgotten to pack for their stay. The store had literally everything one could possibly need. The bedroom was clean, had kettle and milk/sugar/teabags/coffee sachets. Crockery and cutlery items. Shower room. Hairdryer. TV. Comfortable bed. A cushion style nice seat chair. There was a fire escape just outside my window with entry to it next to my room.
That I could not see a lift for folk with mobility issues. But there may have been downstair rooms.

Liked that it was central town accommodation. Very close to shops, public transport, and social life activities. Nearby keep fit premises across the street. For one. Nearby eating premises were just about 5 minutes away. There was also an onsite cafe bistro available which was nice. A great atsmophere was present in there. Loved my overall stay at The Old Coach House.
There was not anything I could say that I did not like about my stay at The Old Coach House. It was an enjoyable stay. All round.

I arrived in pouring rain on my bicycle and the receptionist offered to put some wet clothes through the dryer. I was able to charge up my e-bike and with the room heating I was able to overcome the cold and wet. Also the hotel owner is very obliging.

Amazing price and all you need. Staff left you to do your own thing. Lovely old hotel. Very central.
Very squeaky floor boards outside our room and very noisy seagulls but it's a seaside town! We will go back again.
