wonderful breakfast and room but the bed needs upgrade and curtains weren't blackout due brightest appears very early morning which made me very tired when waking up I was due to play my bowling championship didn't play very well due to tiredness lack of sleep which I am disappointed with that also the room was too cold in the evening

no heating broken kettle lid was already broken when we arrived but I didn't want to complain about that as we needed to stay for the weekend as I knew the area very well I have family and friends ties there

The hotel is well located in the centre of the town. Easy parking - we were almost certainly the last guests to arrive, with two large vans and had no problem getting spaces. They dealt well with a late check-in, no problem getting a key. Lots of amenities in the room - toiletries and even snacks, which was appreciated. Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly.

The shower was a bit on the weak side - I would have liked a bit more pressure from it but I can't imagine it's an easy thing to upgrade in an older building.

A warm welcome on arrival. Our room was rather bigger than expected and had everything we needed for a one night stay. We had a drink in the cosy bar and then moved through to an attractive dining room for a delicious evening meal. We slept well as it was so quiet and our breakfast was tasty too. Great value for money and I would recommend this hotel.

The location was beautiful and we also went for a quick ride to the beach to see Bow Fiddle Rock which was lovely. Breakfast and dinner were great! I had a delicious mince and tatties for dinner, and a full scottish breakfast with home made porridge! We enjoyed everything we ate.

We loved everything, the food, the accomodation, the service!The only problem for us who are night owls is that the pub closed at 10 pm. But I guess it's the same thing everywhere in UK, so we got used to it.

The staff were ever so helpful firstly I was bringing my mountain bike away with me and they kindly upgraded my room to the bottom floor outside apartment style room for easy access which I could keep my bike in. In the end I was also running late for check in and they kindly gave me instructions and left a key outside my room. The local Moray Monster trails were just a short 5 min ride up the road loads to do there for all ages and experience. On my return back to the hotel they kindly offered me use of their outside hose so I could clean my bike which was really helpful. The breakfast was also really nice and freshly cooked to order no buffet style breakfast which I am not to keen on. I will definitely be staying again on my next visit.

The hotel was all up to expectation maybe the rooms were a bit dated but this is part of the character of the hotel.

Great Hospitality, friendly team, I liked the amazing cooked breakfast which set me up for the day ahead, could have stayed at the Travel lodge for double the price for essentially the same facilities. It was dated yes, there wasn’t an expansive cold buffet selection at breakfast, all you need to do is ask, it was clean and everything worked, tv, iron, hairdryer, shower, hot water, complimentary shampoo and gel etc, and it was quiet.

Great location. WONDERFUL staff. Everyone was so accommodating.

The only negative was that there wasn’t A/C in the rooms. As Americans, we just expect A/C… but there was nothing wrong with the rooms. If you aren’t American and expect your room to be a constant 68°, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel. I highly recommend it to everyone! You will not be disappointed. (The issue with the A/C is an US problem, not the hotel’s problem.)

Excellent food, two minutes from bus stops, directly opposite a small co-op store and only a few minutes walk from the event.

Some issues with billing but this appeared to be an issue with communication from Booking.com - raised with Hotel and was quickly sorted.

I was running late to reach the Gordon Arms before they stopped serving dinner but Susan arranged for the chef to stay back to make dinner for me, what an amazing thing to do and it was greatly appreciated indeed. The food was lovely as was breakfast, the room was immaculate and the beer went down a treat after a very long day!!!! With thanks to everyone at the Gordon Arms Hotel.

Location, friendly atmosphere, dog friendly. Staff extremely helpful when returning by post some clothes we left behind. Breakfast very good.

Slow bar service due to understaffing. Bedroom in need of modernisation. Whilst dog friendly, we couldn’t have our meals in main restaurant.
