Staff were lovely friendly helpful and efficient- great location and restaurant very good. We were celebrating our birthdays and they left a lovely happy birthday message and chocolate in our room which was a lovely touch

Jacuzzi and shower not working in spa and gym closed - they forget to service our room although not a big deal it is the luxury of your bed being made and clean towels etc that make it special so was disappointing our bedroom was comfy although bathroom bit tired - but none of this affected our stay significantly and would come back again

The first night in the Standard room was very uncomfortable due to the heat inside the room. There was no heating on and windows were open and it was 16C outside but so hot inside! Could not figure out why. Had to sleep on top of the duvet. We were moved the next day after complaining about the heat, and the staff were most apologetic and upgraded us to a Premium King for the next night overlooking the fields, which was lovely. We had dinner the first night which was first class. Comparative to the best restaurants I have been to in London, but with a reasonable amount of food!

Breakfast was just buffet style. Unfortunately, some items were a bit bland. (tasteless mushrooms/bacon)

The staff were unfailingly pleasant and helpful; they really helped to make our stay a good one. The outdoor pool is great, and it was good to have a gym and indoor pool too. Lots of space in the grounds. The restaurant terrace area is gorgeous, and the chairs here are so comfortable - perfect place for a summer evening. The hotel itself is beautiful as you drive up the driveway. Loved the cricket on the pitch in front. Location is great. We appreciated having the fan in the room as it was hot.

Food is quite pricey - it would be nice to have a few smaller / cheaper options. The bed was OK but the pillows could have been more comfortable.

great location right near Brockenhurst which is central for everything. Loved the extended patio to enjoy a drink on a sunny day. cocktails are fabulous kudos to Maria and Zara on reception who went over and above.

room 4 can be noisy so ask them to switch off the pool and kitchen fans at night. no bath here which suited us but probably not a family with young children. the kitchen gets overwhelmed quickly when it’s busy - starters to mains in Beresford restaurant took 70 minutes to come. we were busy chatting but I think this is too long for the status of eatery the hotel pitches.

Atmosphere of the hotel, the staff, drink selection and rooms where amazing. Bed wasn't especially comfortable and didn't feel premium which didn't match the hotel which felt very premium. But loved our stay.

At breakfast it was disappointing that no alternative milk option where available on the table. We asked for some oat milk, but only a small milk jug came out, not enough for a coffee X2 and bowls of cereal so felt a bit awkward asking several times. Staff thought we hadn't received it from when we asked.

Lush location, family room was spacious clean, randomly found the tea and coffee in the wardrobe however there was a nice fridge in the room.

The pool and spa area could use a clean or the water a treatment, Also all staff were lovely apart from checking out… there was a woman vomiting outside, when i informed desk the man was very rude snatched the cards and said that is all.

Excellent staff - friendly and efficient Home-made rustic sourdough bread to die for ! And the crayfish sandwiches were delicious

Gorgeous building that oozes country charm.

The management of the buffet breakfast lets the hotel down. Cold plates, food items running out while you’re plating up so it all gets cold while you wait for things to be replenished . It may be a first world gripe, but it does take the shine off the stay

The staff were attentive and friendly. Jordan was a star! The outdoor pool was very warm which was great.

We were very hot on our room - we found that some people had a fan. We were in 37 not sure if there was one there. Exceptionally hot weather though. Brockenhurst taxis let us down completely - not your fault but worth knowing. We were late for a booking at The Pig and they threatened to only keep the table for 15 extra minutes.
