The overall hotel was good but lacked atmosphere. The car park and guest lounge and bar were large. Gardens were good but unfortunately we didn’t have the weather to use it. We were upgraded to a slightly bigger room.

The wasn’t any atmosphere in the hotel. It lack that feel good factor. The rooms were not refreshed during our stay so did not have any new bottled water or tea etc. the breakfast was ok but definable not over generous. It won’t take much to make this hotel a wow just a little more warmth with the customers

Decor and staff on late night arrival, were lovely and helpful. Breakfast room staff a little grumpy, forgot toast after a few requests, think as were checking out guests and serving breakfast. But lovely setting and decor and breakfast was lovely with good choice.

we stayed in the top floor, no lift, so was steep stairs up the final climb, the lovely lady who checked us in helped and insisted on carrying out bag, which was appreciated. The room was very warm and bed was not comfortable, although linen and pillows were comfortable. Would stay again and request ground floor.

Comfortable, clean room. Comfy bed. Friendly, polite staff. Yummy food at the restaurant when I had dinner there. A nice, quiet and peaceful location. Close to local walks and attractions. A lovely place to stay for a peaceful getaway! Thank you!

The porridge and toast etc for breakfast were really good but the cooked breakfast I had this morning was a little disappointing. Rather small and a little dry (no baked beans). I've had better full English breakfasts elsewhere. The rest of the food/drinks were lovely though and great service. Very friendly and polite waiting staff.

Booked for dinner on the evening of arrival, the food was well presented and cooked. Maybe a little expensive for what was really fishnchips but cant overally complain. The breakfast though was plentiful a nice touch to bring out warm croissants, lots on offer fresh fruit, plus options of cooked breakfast. The hotel itself is well looked after and we had a little walk round the garden. Our room was a cosy loft room great for what we needed very clean, would have been good to have a bottle of water in the room not just tea/coffee but 9/10 from us we would stay again if in the area.

We had a lovey stay at the Manor Sway, good breakfast which was included, not too big and not too small in portion size. It's a dog friendly hotel and Cocoa our working Cocker Spaniel was made very welcome. There were 4 dogs at breakfast on one of the mornings and they were all very well behaved. We sat in the dog friendly area which was more of a lounge setting with t couple of tables, but the rest of the tables were lower at sofa height. The dining room was not dog friendly but it didn't matter and I think it was good that there was an eating area where it was only for humans. All in all the hotel was well situated right, less than 5 mins to the national park and about 15 - 20 mins from Highcliffe beach. We had a really good stay!

There could have been a hose pipe or tap outside the hotel to hose down our dog.

Lovely public areas. The bar, lounge and restaurant, were beautifully decorated and felt comfortable, warm and welcoming even on a cold grey English spring day. Service was excellent throughout, although a little bell in the bar to attract attention might be handy.

A lot of light came under the bedroom door and I had to use the extra pillows to block this or I couldn´t sleep. The walk in shower is only an overhead rainfall type with no hand held shower for those that want to avoid getting their hair wet. The bathwater is an interesting yellowish colour which I assume is due to old pipework in the old property but was a little off-putting.

The breakfasts were delicious with a good choice of items. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for the staff if something was needed. The grounds were sumptuous with a fine selection of trees and shrubs. The view from the loungs overlooked the garden which made it very relaxing and pleasant. Quality toiletries were in refillable bottles and the tea and coffee facility in the room were kept well stocked. Our dog was made very welcome and could go anywhere apart from the dining room. The hotel was quite unique with pleasant personal touches which made it unlike a hotel, more like a home. There were no signs with instructions apart from safety information and the hotel handbook was very polite in its requests.

All was good.

Fantastic staff- from the cleaners to the reception staff to the managers. It felt like they were a family and really invested in the business and making our stay relaxed and comfortable. The property is beautiful with stunning gardens and lots of light and space in the building. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable with lovely bath products which was a nice touch.

I think there could have been vegan and more vegetarian options re dining though the staff were great at supplying alternatives such as oat milk when I asked. The playlist was great at breakfast and we especially enjoyed the french tunes!

We stayed in the cosy attic room, which was as expected and good value for money.

Restaurant was a little over priced and staff lacked experience. Lacked atmosphere as only a few diners. Was cold and unwelcoming and we had to ask staff to close an outside door and put the heating on. Overall the food was good, but service, atmosphere and price let it down. Breakfast had an extensive choice and was good quality. Again, some staff could have helped by clearing plates.

The owner Tim met us and welcomed us to the Hotel. He helped us with our luggage and gave us lots of information. Our bedroom was on the first floor and was very well appointed. Very comfortable bed and storage for clothes. Downstairs was a lounge area, a bar area with access to a terrace with garden furniture and the dining room. All were bright, comfortable and pleasant to use. Breakfast and dinner were both well cooked with good choice. The small bar served tea and coffee all day as well as normal range of drinks. Cocktails available although we didn't sample them. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Our bathroom shower was great but the water came out onto the floor. We reported this to Tim and it is an ongoing issue that he will be sorting. Easily remedied during our stay by fresh bath mats on request.
