The decor was amazing! We stayed in the Kan Kan room (4) which is in the basement and every part of the space from the foyer to the room was a lovely space including a small seating area outside the room. Very well decorated and looked chic and modern. The staff were all very friendly, informative and couldn’t help any more. The room came with a free glass of Prosecco and nibbles in the early evening and a choice of free breakfasts in the morning which come with a choice of freshly made hot drinks, fresh OJ and a banana all delivered to your room at a time of your choice up until 10:30am. Slippers and earplugs in the room free too. The location is right in the middle of the Northern Quarter so it’s surrounded by great places to go eat and drink and also walking distance from Chinatown and Canal Street. I honestly could not believe the quality of the building, the decoration and the service for what I paid. I’ve paid twice as much for half the quality before.
Very, very little things but unworthy of mention against the quality for the price.

Was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in I got greeted with a warm friendly group of staff and they made sure I was walked to my room and everything was ok we got a complimentary glass of Prosecco and nibbles and also a glass of milk and cookies before bed the room was amazing with lots to do near the hotel. The whole place had a lovely welcoming environment and smell they also let us keep our bags with them when we checked out so we could explore Manchester overall 10/10 experience worth every penny would highly recommend
Only think was the view from the window but that didn’t bother me too much

Friendly and efficient reception. Keys and Kandy - sweeties with your room key in a cute envelope! Unexpected freebies - prosecco in the bar at 5-7pm, complimentary hot drinks - also brought to your room, milk and cookies at bedtime, breakfast in bed (tea/coffee, fresh juice, yogurt and granola, banana, croissant). The room was stylish and comfortable - I would expect to pay more for a room of this standard. Clean too and with an original feature (pulley wheel!) from the building's industrial days. All staff seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs and were friendly and cheerful - a refreshing change!
I couldn't work out how to get the right temperature on my shower but did have a shower! The body wash in the shower was empty - I just got some from the washbasin. The location was perfect for me but it is in an area with vibrant nightlife - I was pleased to have complimentary earplugs, used them and slept fine.

This place was just beautiful! Such a quirky little boutique, with gorgeous decor. The guy on reception who checked us in and showed us to our room (can't remember his name sorry) was so warm, friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Our room was the Kan Kan Suite and it was perfect, really nicely laid out and decorated. Some of the little touches we greatly appreciated:- . A complimentary glass of prosecco each on arrival to our rooms . A little bag of sweets each with our room key . Complimentary hot drinks 24/7 . A 'night cap' room service drinks menu . Complementary cookies to your room in the evening . A list of bars/restaurants provided in the room . Branded sllippers and ear plugs to take home We were on a flying visit, attending a concert in the Co op and the location of the property was perfect for access to the venue. We were even able to walk back to the hotel after the concert. We had to leave at 4am for the airport so we were provided with a takeaway breakfast in a little brown bag for the journey. It included a hot criossant, banana, a cereal and yoghurt pot, a glass of orange juice and a coffee. This was incredible at that time of the morning! Really nice touch. It's a shame we didn't get to spend more time at The Cows Hollow but we will 100% be back to stay :)

Staff were so lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful! Took my mum for a weekend away to celebrate her birthday with some shopping, staff were incredibly welcoming from the second we walked in, it was mentioned briefly in passing when we were checking in the reason for our stay and when we went up to the room they had left a note in the room wishing her a happy birthday which was such a lovely touch that put a smile on her face. The bed was very comfy, and the breakfast was nice (especially the chocolate croissant!) The location couldn’t have been better for what we needed.
There was a fair amount of stairs but that wasn’t a problem at all, and staff always offered to help with luggage so it really wasn’t a problem for us

Gorgeous, quirky little hotel, in a great central location. The staff are absolutely brilliant, they cannot do enough for you, the rooms are compact but very tasteful, comfortable and clean. Delicious continental style breakfast delivered at the time of our choosing, with a lovely note congratulating us on our upcoming wedding. Hair dryer, straighteners and curling wand all provided in bathroom, little packet of sweets, earplugs, i could go on. Fantastic place, cannot wait to go back. Thank you Barnaby and your lovely team for a truly memorable stay 😊

Room was grand and classy with great stone architecture. I wanted a room with a view and they kindly switched me from a ground floor room to a first floor one so quickly! Prosecco and nibbles evening was a great touch as well! The breakfast was perrrrrfect! Gosh! And I had fun reading the information cards in the room, very witty😂 staff were always ready to help and nice! Graciously kept my box and neatly labelled it for the few hours after checkout I was in town for and ready to suggest places to visit. Wish I could have afforded to stay longer, best booking I’ve made on booking.com so far!!!!
My room was smaller than expected but the large windows and the plants at the windowsill made up for this.

It was a lovely room, complimentary extras like processco and nibbles, water in the room, bluetooth speaker, slippers and ear plugs you could take home and an option of milk and cookies after 10pm which you could get delivered to your room. Comfy bed and love the look of the hotel, Rustic/industrial but cosy.
For the amount we paid we would have liked a bigger room. It all just seemed a bit cramped, and the pictures looked bigger. It was a bit of a squeeze even just to walk round the bed, and there was no wardrobe space. We had a couple of hooks, but that was it. We didnt get breakfast, as when i booked it was saying it was an extra charge ( but when we checked in they said it was included, so that wasnt made clear) so we opted out and found somewhere for a hot breakfast instead of the continental option. The final thing is the room seemed a bit cold. Normally hotel rooms are warm but we were a bit chilly through the night.

The service was amazing, all the staff were helpful and lovely but the General manager, Barnaby, made the stay. He spoke to us and gave us some tips about Manchester, he was such a genuine person which is rare to see in a business environment these days so it was really refreshing speaking to someone who presents as they are happy to be at work and is happy to speak to us The food and drinks that we didn’t have to pay extra for was the best, unlimited coffee has my heart The atmosphere and room itself felt very cosy and comfortable The location was a perfect walking distance from central and the place itself was just so lovely to look at, definitely the nicest looking hotel Iv seen I 100% recommend staying the night
There’s is nothing bad I can say, but something I was unprepared for was that if you don’t have your physical card you have to pay double the deposit fee (which is 100% fair enough) You do get it back quickly the next day it’s just something to prepare for

Free breakfast was amazing, tea/coffee/orange juice/banana/pastry AND granola&yoghurt. Set us up perfectly each day! Staff were really friendly and helpful. Great location, few minutes walk from lots of shops & places to eat, but still far away enough from busy streets. Bed was so comfortable with soft duvet and pillows. Would stay again for sure!
We stayed sun-thurs so had a large suitcase. No wardrobe/drawers/storage space at all. Couldn’t properly unpack clothes. The bedroom was literally the bed and had to open the suitcase in the bathroom to be able to open it wide enough.
