lovely big private room with ensuite. great location, right next to some great food and drink spots. looked to have a god courtyard near the entrance however it was closed due to works on the building.
the shower facilities were a bit worn down but with all the work being done to the building I assume this is in getting a reno. was generally very clean but there was a couple odd handprint marks on the walls. It is noisey on a nighttime as a lot of the bars in the area are open till 2am, however this was only a problem as the day was so warm i have to sleep with the windows open.

Almost everything I like about this hostel. I booked for a bed in 4 shared bedroom. It’s really beautiful and I stayed for 6 days 5 nights. My purpose was to travel Manchester while writing up my debut novel aim to be published next year. The hostel is really beautiful, the drawings on the wall make the hostel stands out! I stayed in a hostel in London, it was so terrible sharing 3 bunk bed, but this hostel serves 2 bunk bed which provides bigger height, so that I can sit properly inside the compartment, bigger width compartment. In terms of toilet, it’s really spacious with bath tub that I will not get that in London (even they also provides liquid soap which I really impressed!). The sink is bigger so that the water will not splash out. The lobby is really beautiful with plants and dark green wall, where I work on my laptop there.
Only internet. The manager said the internet is currently in the process of reviewing their package from the internet provider. My recommendation to the hostel is probably you only can allow the internet to be used by the real guests, because the internet can also be used by public and pretend they are guests and they can use the internet freely.

I loved the location of this fabulous hostel. It was 10 minutes from Manchester Piccadilly station. It has a very chilled vibe and very relaxed atmosphere. The room was very nice with bunk beds that had lots of storage space and a charger and light near the bed. It was so comfortable. There was every amenity that you could need, a great room with lots of space, a really big spacious kitchen with a hangout vibe. Also the kitchen was cleaned regularly and there was a great system in the fridge, so there was space for everyone's good. I will definitely be back!
I didn't like the lack of towels in the bathrooms.

The hostel is located in the middle of the city centre, everything is close, max up to 15 minutes walk, including many cafes and shops nearby. -Getting there from the train station is pretty quick and easy. -Comfortable beds and a nice shared kitchen! -And I also have to mention friendly and helpful staff! + You can keep your luggage there for free before and after check-out.
-The noise from the bars and clubs at night might be a big problem for light sleepers. I didn't mind as I go to bed late, but at Friday night, it kept going until 4am:( -The walking, everything is fairly close, but wherever you go, the bus or tram won't really help you. So bring a comfortable pair of shoes! -Shower, it took a long time for the water to turn hot, and there was no shower hose, so bring a cap with you!

Stayed 2 nights in a 4 bedder room. The bed is outstanding and very comfortable for a hostel. Each bed has a curtain for privacy and it blocks off some disturbance from roommates. The bed has a storage space which I could lock my stuff in (lock not provided). It has 4 electric outlets! Toilet is clean. The space within the room is sufficient and it doesn’t feel constricted. Highly recommended for solo travellers. Hostel is located in the northern quarter. The area has many places for good food and coffees options. Many pubs are also around the area. Walkable distance 15-20mins walk from Manchester Piccadilly station if you are travelling light.
Staying here over the weekend can be quite a challenge. It gets very noisy in the middle of the night from the pubs around the area. I recommend having earplugs for the travellers. The room gets direct sunlight and it gets very warm at night. Room or ceiling fans should be provided to enhance stay of travellers since the hostel is not air conditioned.

This place is definitely the best if you are looking forward to stay at the heart of city center at a low price. However, let the price not fool you. The facilities are outstanding. Great accommodating down to earth staff. Excellent location all walking distance: 5 mins to Arndale, 4 mins to Picadilly gardens, 5 mins to Portland street, 8 mins to Manchester Victoria, 13 mins to manchester Picadilly, 10 mins to Deansgate, 10 mins to Oxford Road station, 5 mins to Shudhill Interchange, PrintWorks, On top, there are free buses (1&2) easily accessible to take you all over manchester city center! Cannot praise enough. The best part, if you face any issues the staff will always resolve it immediately. Never dared stayed in Hostel in my life but after this experience I am a regular. Also, people I find staying here are mostly regulars and professionals. I have tried YHA, and few other BnB's this place beats them all. Overall, great experience!
The 8 bed dorm could do with some coat hangers in every corner so there are 2 for everyone like in the 4 bed dorms. Couple of sitting benches could also do like they have in the 4 bed dorms. The shower in the 8 bed dorm also needs some maintenance regarding water pressure although guests can use the common facilities on each floor. The staff could also politely remind each guest upon check-in that they should come outside the room if they are talking on phone after mid-night as it might disturb other travellers sleep especially those who need to wake up early morning. Usually, guests are polite and have these common manners but there can always be an odd one in the house. However, nothing major just tiny tiny adjustments you can recommend in every place. Great atmosphere overall!

Pretty damned good, stayed here twice and it's the best you're getting in Manchester and while the YHA is technically cleaner, it's cleaner in a more sterile soulless way, this is actually comfortable and feels like they're making an effort. It used to be a Selina so if you've stayed at one you know what to expect, in other words as hostels go it's pretty well equipped and is decently comfortable.
Bathrooms aren't nice but are being replaced so by the time you read this it'll probably be fine. One of the rooms is noisy because of the street, the rest are better, so you might get unlucky on that, it's not terrible but when a bus goes by you can feel it.

My favorite place to stay in Manchester is the Penta hotels, as it has the best value for money place to live in Manchester. It is located in the heart of city with a lot good places to eat and drink nearby. Rooms are very comfortable & well managed. The property has all the modern facilities with free WiFi and a fully equipped kitchen. The reception is open 24 hours for travellers to check in at any hour, all the staff members are very friendly and provide feasible solutions towards any of the issues faced. The room arrangement is excellent, with plenty of space between beds and a high degree of privacy thanks to the curtains that are given for each bed, which effectively block out much of the outside light. The mattress was comfortable and the bedding was clean. An added plus is that they provide free bag storage on the day of check-out. Definitely one of the top places to stay if you are ever visiting Manchester. A big thank you to Steven, Zoe, Henny, Daisy, Rizwan and Mo who work around the clock to run the place so well. Keep up the good work guys...

I liked location of the Hostel, so I never took public transportation during my visit in Manchester. Also the staff was so helpful, I thought I lost my glasses then I told them, and they helped me a lot. Thank you.
Actually almost everything was okay but the last night two guys come into room. And they were so disrespectful. They were not clean at all. When I woke up in the middle of the night, I heard two people were talking, then when I went to bathroom, they were eating there. - disgusting really - they said sorry and I told them they can go to Kitchen. It was my last night there, but I could not sleep at all because of them. It is not about the Hostel but still I wanted to say.

Went for an operation and used the room as a base for recovery. Great suite, very large and good kitchen and ensuite facilities. Clean bathroom, kitchen and linen. Massive Super King bed which was very comfy. Floor was hoovered but could have done with a wash over. Small leak in corner of room when it rained - its an old building. Staff were very grateful when we told them about it. Not their fault. Street outside is busy and vibrant (and noisy) but if you want a quiet night...go to a different area as the Northern Quarter will not be for you. Great access to Shudehill and the tram and train stations.
No recycling facilities. Especially as it has a kitchen, and there are no public recycling bins in Manchester in the streets (no idea why).
