Great colourful funky boho neighbourhood with relaxed outdoor cafes and bars and Selina is like an upmarket hostel with a colourful kitchen, outdoor patio area attached to restaurant bar to smoke or drink and relaxing lounge areas to work on laptop great 24/7 staff and nice coffee available at reception with free lemon water would stay there again bedroom bathroom spotless with lovely thick mattresses, luxury shower gel, cream and fresh towels you also get a free alcoholic drink in bar which was a nice surprise

Lift needs cleaned more often as reception and rooms are spotless it makes a bad impression and front door is a bit hard to find as it looks like a window and we walked past it a few times room windows don't open so was v warm but there was a fan to cool us down but these are minor issues we were very pleased overall

The room was very big, almost too big, and the bed was very nice indeed. I had a good view of the streets, and the location could not have been better. All of the staff were very nice and welcoming. Overall the hotel gave a good impression of part hipster, part bohemian.

There could have been more rugs, honestly, because even if the room was big, it felt a bit bare. While I'm happy there was no TV, I did however feel the lack of a proper writing desk. The only desk in the room was a small round table with two chairs. Also, the toilet was leaking water so it kept pumping throughout, and the door couldn't be closed.

The location of the hostel is very good. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes nearby. You get a complimentary drink from the bar at the hostel during the first evening of your stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds have privacy curtains, which I am a big fan of, as well as a light and outlet.

It didn't seem like a super social hostel. They appear to have some events in the evenings, but nothing really happened while I was there and I didn't see any other way to meet people. The bathrooms weren't as dirty as some of the other reviews had mentioned, but there is only one (for the six-person room at least) so there can be a bit of a wait in the mornings if everyone needs it at once, and in my room people just left their towels on the floor.

The staff was friendly. It is close to a busstation and a tram The hostel is surrounded by nice restaurants, pubs and cafes. The bed were comfortable and had a locker in the pod to place your valuable stuff In the pod you had your own little light and a wall outlet (normal English outlet and a USB one, which was very handy) The room's layout was a bit like a maze so you didn't had that much trouble of other people that were in the room The staff gave me a bracelet for a welcome drink and discount for a restaurant, I didn't use that, but it is a nice extra

The shower didn't work very well. The water didn't got very warm, the door of the shower didn't close properly and there was a whole puddle of water on the floor of the 2 people that showered before me

Suite was large with plenty mugs, glasses, plates etc and had pots and pans for cooking on the hob and a small fridge to store chilled goods. Included breakfast was a single option of granola and yoghurt with a slice of toast and the option of jam and butter but was nice and filling. The bed was large and comfortable and the bedding was clean and soft. There was also a small desk and chair. Bathroom was clean and well stocked.

The shower temperature was slightly temperamental and took a few minutes to warm up but given the number of people they service (as it is also a hostel) it worked well and was never cold. It was slightly confusing to know where to go for breakfast if you have it included as it is in a separate building.

Clean and nice dorms , central location

No watching machine, I think , and someone was in my bed . I asked for a refund but was moved to another room and given a free breakfast. This was ok and the staff member was very nice . However, another member of staff who was on shift in the morning had to make some comment that I should have taken another empty bed to the one I was allocated. I don't see how this solves a problem when the person asleep in my bed at 8pm was rude and I felt uncomfortable staying in the room . What happens if I go to sleep in another bed and someone gets into my bed in the middle of the night . But anyway , it is not good customer service to make such snide comments

Location was ideal for me. Couldn't have been much better. Live music bars/clubs very very close which I loved. Close to the gym I wanted to use and also close to piccadily station for the train back to the airport. Allowed for very late check in too which was great. Can't remember the girls name at reception but I think she had ginger coloured hair and she was really nice.

The room was extremely hot at night. I was in a 6 bed dormitory. 2 pillows would be ideal but not a huge issue.

We have enjoyed staying at Selina hotel. It is located in NQ1, very close to the most important museums. Also, if you are interested to visit other cities like Liverpool/Chester, Victoria train station offers direct route to these cities. The corner boy pub situated at groundfloor offers good English breakfast, good drinks and great atmosphere. They have events planned for almost every night (we have attended a stand up comedy show for free). BIG THANK YOU to AMELIE from reception and housekeeping team for all the assistance, it was really fun.We will definitely choose Selina whenever we will return to Manchester.Until next time, take care🙂

Ideal for one night's stay - lovely big room that was warm enough, with a decent enough private bathroom. Bed was comfortable and clean with good access to plug sockets. The reception staff were friendly and clear upon check-in and the cleaners were pleasant when I spoke to them.

I was conscious that the wooden floors may have been noisy for the guests staying beneath me, especially wearing heels. One of the light bulbs didn't work properly so it was very dark in one half of the room! No TV or hairdryer which would have been nice, but the room was very affordable. The windows are quite thin and Stevenson's Square is still quite loud beyond 3am but I put on a podcast and managed to drift off through the noise.

The best part of my stay was the staff, they were just the best and always so nice. There was a complication with my dorm and they solved it in the best way. Everyone from the girls in the reception (Emily & Ninni u are awesome), the cleansers to the bouncers were great. When I come back it will be because off the staff and the location. The location is so good and there is walking distance to everything and I couldn’t have wished for a better hostel.

Can’t complain about anything, just don’t forget earplugs as there is bars close and I stayed in a dorm.
