Room was comfortable, air con was ok, but not great. But it was very hot when we visited. Room kept clean and amenities were ok. We were near the lifts which was good. We were able to walk to nearby attractions easily and tram, buses only down the road. Transportation is great around Manchester. Breakfast was included, self serve and good enough choices. Would recommend going to breakfast early, as can get very busy later on in the morning.

Bed was a small double which was ok for a few nights. Air con not great, but it was very hot when we visited. Orange juice was not great at breakfast.

Super friendly Reception staff. Arrived a couple of hrs before check in time to drop our bags but were offered early check in. Lovely clean room on 8th floor with great views. Bathroom appeared to be newly tiled, it was spotless. Breakfast was simple but good.

Air con wasn't quite up to dealing with the mini heatwave that Manchester was experiencing when we stayed. This meant the room got quite hot and there were no opening windows up on the 8th floor. Coffee at breakfast wasn't great but that's a very small niggle! The hot chocolate was a better option!

We were met by friendly staff and that continued throughout our stay, they are great. The room was nice and clean and look pretty cool too. The hotel is so brilliantly convenient for the Northern Quarter of Manchester, next door is a fantastic place called Maka Mayor which is stunning and a super place to eat and drink, you must visit. The breakfast was a bonus we didn't expect, it has everything and the best summer fruits couli I have ever had! In general, we had a fabulous stay and will definitely be returning when we can. Thank you Holiday Inn Arena Manchester. You were great!!!!!

There isn't really anything although a bigger rooms is always good, however, the room was an expected size and pretty generous.

Very good location with many small and cozy cafes and bars around Large shower with good water pressure One person liked the bed Elevator with window allowed great view General good views from our room (8th floor)

Bed was too soft for the other person Breakfast was very basic and a bit disappointing. While they had everything you need for a proper English (Bacon, Sausages, Beans, and scrambled eggs which were quite watery though), there weren’t hardly vegetarian or vegan options. It would have been nice to have at least vegetarian sausages and non-dairy milk. Our bathroom did not have a toilet brush.

Check-in was super quick and efficient. The person who helped us was friendly. Our room was fine and as expected. The bed was comfortable with a range of pillow choices. The bathroom was modern and clean. The location was excellent. Our room was quiet, overlooking an alley, but we could be right in the heart of Northern Quarter nightlife within a 2 minute walk.

The price paid for the room was probably reasonable given that it was a weekend night in summer, but it did seem high for the facilities.

The location of the hotel is very good the we’re very helpful and kind breakfast was lovely

The only bad thing was the sofa bed mattress was terribw my partner slept on the sofa bed and he was axing when he woke up , the lady at reception did try and help by bring him another quilt but it was still not good so I think k you could look into getting thicker mattresses and the air conditioning was working either the but we were offered a fan which sis really make any difference

Excellent location and staff were very helpful and accommodating (we'd asked for early check-in to both our rooms and had no issue with that despite the hotel being busy). Varied continental + full English breakfast. The rooms are well sized, impeccably clean and quiet. The beds were super comfy - I haven't slept this well in ages.

Our only complaint is both the room & bathroom doors were very creaky and made a fairly loud noise when opened/shut. As we had a baby with us that was an inconvenience, but other guests are unlikely to be bothered by this.

Friendly staff; good breakfast with lots of variety & quality of food, which was well organised by the staff.

There was a fire alarm on our first night, in the early hours of the morning. This isn't a criticism - it was reassuring that the alarms worked, guests evaccuated the building quickly, & staff were waiting outside to direct us, & should be praised for being calm & taking charge. The only thing that surprised me was that there didn't seem to be anyone checking which room occupants had got out. However, I can imagine that can be a difficult task in a big hotel where guests come & go at all hours, so is perhaps an unfair criticism.

Staff overall were very good, especially the cleaning ladies on the first floor. Breakfast was overall very good. Room was comfortable & very clean.

The biggest issue was the fire alarm at 1am. I have no problem whatsoever in been evacuated, what was an issue is the staff involved (I only saw one & communication with that staff member was extremely poor) So much needs to be addressed regards communication between staff & guests during & after a fire alarm & evacuation. Extremely poor overall.

Considering the location of the hotel in central Manchester I was really pleased with the hotel itself. As it's an express hotel I didn't expect anything more or less than we paid for, the rooms were perfectly clean, comfortable bed, great shower, linen and towels were very fresh and new, for a nights stay it's a great choice, I wouldn't base myself in this sort of hotel for a holiday but for an overnight stay it is perfect. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The (paid for) nearby parking option is a bonus, it really is nearby!

Manchester traffic is horrendous and finding the hotel/area/parking on a sat nav wasn't really the easiest.
